Charlie is a Red Flag™, hello??? Did we forget how that man approached Babe in the first place, ie stalking him into the changing rooms?
He wormed his way not only into Babe's life, but now also into his workplace.

We know Charlie is sus asf, Way knows he's sus asf, and Babe is colorblind. Like whether you believe Charlie is a good guy in the end or not, I dare you to tell me he is not sus. Because he objectively is.

And Babe is literally acting towards Charlie how I do towards Ray from Only Friends.

LITERALLY couldn't have said it better myself. It's like you peeked into my monke brain and took exactly word for word my own feelings and frustrations about Charlie and Charlie/Babe's (lack of) chemistry.
