I am thinking of writing the timeline so far aka how much time has passed from episode 1 till episode 7, the timeskips, dates etc. I have a first draft of it on my mind already so I just need to sit down and write it lol Don't mind me, I just like to have stuff in an organised way and it's something to pass time since I have nothing else to do.
I would like to answer if you don't mind! For your first point: It was on purpose we were not allowed to hear Kurosawa's…
I am not sure I get your first paragraph. So far Adachi has read the thoughts (and we heard them) of all the people he has touched, accidentally or intentionally. There is no need for him to go around and touch everyone, only these characters that the writers feel will be important for the plot.
As for the rest: I get where you are coming from, but I also think it's good to wait and see where it will lead. I am one of the fans who would like to see a kiss between them but it's not a deal breaker for me. It's up to the person how they enjoy a fictional story. I am fine without seeing any sexual thoughts or acts by them, it's fine they way they are. I am sure Kurosawa entertains such thoughts but we haven't heard them (yet?) or the writers are trying to make it more friendly to the viewers; if I am not mistaken Japanese tv series are not known for their NSFW scenes, it's not something they include in their romances.
But to be honest, them having sex or not, is not a big issue for me. As long as they can convince me that they love each other, I am fine. Of course I get why this could come as homophobic to some viewers but so far, to me it doesn't come that way.
OK, there is one thing that's bothering me. They've pretty much dropped Adachi's powers - he didn't even hear…
I would like to answer if you don't mind!
For your first point: It was on purpose we were not allowed to hear Kurosawa's thoughts when he hugged Adachi. Adachi himself said that Kurosawa's feelings were too much, he was overwhelmed himself. And I think part of the point was for us to enjoy a moment of their intimate reunion without having thoughts to disturb the whole thing. It felt more genuine and real like that, but that's my opinion.
For your second point: I get what you are saying but at the end of the day love doesn't have to contain sex. I am sure it will come up at some point, one way or another, but I think it's been obvious so far that the writers and directors just want to show a pure story of love without sexy elements (yet?). Think of it as princess novels that they mostly contain a kiss. Not to say this is a story for kids but it has a similar feeling of "pure romance".
"Perhaps... I became a magic user... so that I can touch his heart".
Adachi's kindness and love knows no boundaries. He wasn't sure if he wanted this power at first because as an introvert and low-profile person, it gave him unnecessary trouble. But as time passed, he came to see people's other sides, their most weak and vulnerable sides that all of us try to hide and put our "social mask" on. And Adachi, from his nature alone, can sympathize and emotionally support someone. This power only amplified that and gave him the chance to show his kindness more. I see it as glasses that help people see the world better, as a medium; how we choose to use that medium is up to us. We can turn a blind eye or decide to help.
Kurosawa's honest feelings reached him. For someone that pinned over Adachi for 7 years, I give it to him. It means how serious and important Adachi's words and support were to Kurosawa that night after the meeting. Yes, Kurosawa's issue is what we can call a "1st world problem" because your looks giving you advantage and complaining about it can seem shallow but what happens when people only objectify you and there is even sexual harassment to deal with? None deserves that, no matter how beautiful they are because at the very base of everything, we are all human beings that at least deserve some respect.
I have said it before, but when Adachi becomes confident my knees get weak lol The love confession was perfect from every aspect: the apologies at first for his late reply (that's so Adachi), to try and rationalize his feelings, to disregarding all that and say what he truly feels; that he likes Kurosawa back. The hug was so sweet, I melted. Kurosawa and Adachi deserve each other, I am really happy for them. And of course Kurosawa flirting at the end was the cherry on top (please give Adachi a break he is not ready you beast lol).
Even though next episode Tsuge crushes their precious first date, we need that Tsuge/Minato development and I am sure Kurosawa and Adachi will have more chances to spend time together. 5 episodes left and I am ready for that "sweet life"!
I hope this is going to turn out really good! I love crime stories already but insert BL and you might hit gold if it's done well. Tbh I am not a fan of Maxtul, both as a fan couple and as actors (pls don't kill me lol), but I see that the director is an experienced one so it looks like this is going to be good. Anyways, the BL scene needs some change from the usual high school/uni setting so I hope working adults does the trick!
It was a really good series with relatable and real issues that touch on the LGBTQ+ community today. We got perspectives about coming out, what is an ally, the opposing sides of being proud of being gay in the outside world vs not being there yet and needing time to prepare yourself.
I think the ending is fitting for both Karl and Vlad considering the time frame of their relationship (one month) and Karl coming to terms with himself being gay. Accepting it is not the same as being confident or brave to tell it out there; it's a world apart and I am glad the series touched on this. People need time to accept and confront such personal issues, which, for better or worse, are being judged upon in society.
I would be fine if we do no get a S2. This was a great journey of self discovering and love (sibling love, romantic love, friendship). You can see that everyone in the staff really put themselves into making the series and it worked. I also get if some fans didn't like it and expected a happy ending but I am also very satisfied with what we got. Cheers!
A powerful coming-of-age story about the challenges of growing up, falling in love, friendship, getting to know and accept parts of yourself, rivalry and most of all, kindness. I cried in almost every episode, watching Teh and Oh-Aew going through parts and stages of life with each other and individually. I felt for Bas and Tarn, and I was also prepared for a sad ending because as long as it's well written and fits the characters and their relationship, I would be fine with it, but I am also very glad that they ended up together, because call it fate, magnetism, energy that attracts you to a particular person/or people, they are destined to be part of each other's lives no matter the label you put on their relationship.
It was beautiful from every technical and artistic pov: direction, acting, chemistry, cinematography, OST, editing. Everything was superb and it definitely raised the bar for upcoming BL stories (yes, I know Nadao doesn't consider this a BL story for a multiple of reasons I don't want to write here but for me it's also part BL, shoot me lol). I am not sure what else to say but a deserved 10 from me and I hope this story reaches a lot of people.
I can't stop watching the love confession. From the moment Adachi was thinking about Kurosawa in the office till Kurosawa's HARD mode flirting at the end, just... perfect!
I was the mod and I don't know if you saw my response but it was just really confusing and I don't really do watch…
It's ok, I understand you were trying to do your job since you are responsible to not ruin the fun for anyone. Thank you for making the livewatch room and invited us to join you :) Yes, we can set rules next time and all of us can be more careful, so we don't have misunderstandings.
I'm not the mod but I think it's ok. It's the first time we do this and we should clearly set rules next time…
Yes, you are right. I was watching from my laptop (youtube) while chatting from phone, where it was lagging, so I didn't realize that I was spoiling stuff. I will definitely be more careful next time and I don't want to ruin the good mood here. Thank you! I would like to join again if possible :)
I just wanted to apologize for spoiling the last minutes in the chatroom and for saying "I won't come again". I am going through some personal things now and I overreacted. I will definitely join again and will try not to say anything while watching. Just wanted to say it here to clear things up, mostly with the mod of the chat.
It was a good episode. Yeah, the appearance of Gav and Cai was out of nowhere but it still served its purpose to give Pearl another perspective of her situation, as well as the girls. And I feel this is going to end up with Karleen/Pearl: Alex is great, although kinda obsessed in a way I find uncomfortable, but Karleen is seen as the underdog and from the many romance stories I have seen so far, the MC gets to be with the person they love, not with the one who is in love with them. But maybe they will surprise me and it's going to be Alex/Pearl or no pairing at all.
As others have said, it's an average drama with a lot of potential but the delivery and execution fell flat. Character interactions were fine but nothing spectacular. 5-6 episodes would have been enough to tell the story, without the need for the wild dog and the 2 soldiers plot. It's entertaining and good as I enjoyed certain scenes/episodes but that's it.
I really wish people would stop throwing the word pedophilia in every pairing they don't like. It's such a serious…
Tsuge can be considered creepy/a stalker because of his weird actions around Minato and observing him without Minato's knowledge in the previous episode, but in no way a pedo. You can feel uncomfortable with the way Tsuge express his like, but so far he has not hurt Minato in any way: he is just weird about it. He seems to be aware of it so he will most likely decide to act and talk normally to Minato in the next episodes, but that's it. You don't have to like the pairing, even I feel neutral about it and usually just laugh, but throwing the word pedophilia so easily is very concerning. We should be more mindful before we "cancel" someone, fictional or real.

S2 next year, yes baby!
