More great moments from ep 7! I really love the simple moments the leads are sharing. They are not exactly "romantic" in a sense, but because of their chemistry it's coming off that way and it's nice to watch. So far, I really love the directors camera technique on how he chooses to film scenes between the leads. There's nothing overtly romantic, but it still comee off as romantic π
These moments are showing their growing relationship and understanding of eachother. So when they do "get together" we as audience will be able to see and understand why it happened. I love how the writers are writing their relationship so far. Slowly building it on "trust" lol well, the characters version of trust.... So when Mei Lin finds out Murong Jing is her shadow assassin master, the feeling of betrayal would even be worse... lol.
I gotta say this again: Mein Lin is a really beautiful soul. Unfortunately, she hasn't had a good or fun life, and ended up the way she did because of revenge. I truly hope she's able to get her revenge and satisfy herself. WJY is truly bringing the character to life and showing all her nuisances.
Lol it looks like that General Lin is about to be an annoying SFL. She's so easily manipulated because of her obsession with the ML. I'm glad to see Mei Lin didn't back down in that fight!
As an aside: It seems the Xiyan prince's attendant might secretly be in love with him?? Lol just from my observations anyway π And it seems the attendant is a bad guy working with the Zheng man?
Anyways, so much has being revealed these last two episodes. I can't wait to see how it all unfolds.
So the Prince Murong Xuan lie is the main villain? No mystery? Ah so simple
Lol yep. One thing I'm enjoying about this show is how everything is straight forward and laid out in the open. So the show doesn't get bug down by unnecessary things that viewers can see coming from a mile away. They are not insulting our intelligence...lol
However, for me, the "mystery" is not in the "who done it" / finding that person. (Like so many other cdramas waste time doing). The mystery is in the journey of figuring out how "that person"/ villain "did it" The mystery is in the journey of holding "that person" accountable.
The mystery is in exploring the leads relationship and how they work together (a pawn and the master). The mystery is watching the journey of ML with the people of his kingdom, as he deals with being labeled a mass murderer.
The mystery is watching his journey as he tries to take his rightfull place on the throne.
Lol so many mysteries to explore and enjoy. I'm glad the show isn't wasting time on petty ones and getting right to the point!
What does greasy mean? I think Kill me love me will be accepted too. (this is because there are many obstacles…
Lol not going to lie, I'm so glad Hou Ming Hou passed up this drama...
Now don't get me wrong, I like him and watch his shows, BUT, he's not the strongest actor out there and I don't think he has the capability to do justice to this show. So far, all he's done are straightlaced romantic dramas with not much depth that requires the actor to "act" So I don't think he would have been the right fit. But maybe one of these days he will suprise me. ZLH suprised me with SOKP and I'm now a life long fan of his!!
What does greasy mean? I think Kill me love me will be accepted too. (this is because there are many obstacles…
Lol how did he steal the plot from FL?? What do they mean by this?
From my point of view, this is both their stories and so far, that's how it's being shown on screen. Each of the characters are equally important and can't function without the other. It's been a good balance so far. Unless it's something they are seeing that I'm not??
Also, yes, agree with you. Murong Jie is a risky character to play and I can see why a lot of other actors passed up on it.
But I'm glad LXY got the role. Because in the hands of a less experienced actor, this role wouldn't have been done justice.
Haha, right?! "Whether dead or alive, you are mine"βso romantic! π.Murong Jie is out here redefining possessiveness!…
I truly wasn't expecting that scene. It was a nice surprise.
I loved how they filmed that scene... Not romantic, just matter of fact. Two people talking about revenge and making plans. But because of the actors chemistry, the scene came out romantically anyway π
I liked the intrigue. The dialogue between brothers. Big Brother is funny in his villainies. And today they put…
Yep! The dialogue between the brothers where they subtly confronted eachother was one of my favorite moment.
I like how this show is going by putting everything on the table. I wasn't expecting them to have such a confronted conversation this early (thought they will keep playing the cat and mouse game like every other cdrama does) But I actually like the fact that it happened this early. Now let's see who wins this game...
I am disliking Yue Qin already.Mei Lin does not need him to save her and has already said it to his face that…
Omg it seems you've read my mind. Lol I literally just posted the same thing then I saw your comment...π
I'm really disliking him. Like what gives him the right to plan her future without even talking to her or asking her if she wants to be with him? Lol they have NO relationship. She just saved him once and now he's acting as if they were best friends in past lifeπ I just know he's about to be an annoying character π
He better listens to his attendant who told him that he and Mei Lin are not fated... those were wise words...
Ep 6 had a lot of beautiful moments. That scene of them walking through the clothes hanging in the yard was shot beautifully. I loved watching it. The brothers subtly confronting each other was such a great moment to watch.
Our girl Mei Lin is a beautiful soul who unfortunately has been dealt a bad hand from life. But thank God you can still still see the goodness in her. I love that even though she's an assassin, you still see these little moments of playfulness in her in the way she talks and interact with Murong Jie and others... Even with revenge always on her mind, she smiles very easily and is easily amused. I truly love the way the character is written and acted out by WJY.
PS: I really don't like the SML, Xiyan prince. I don't like that he's making plans for Mei Lin's future (taking her back to Xiyan with him) without even talking to her and asking her if that's what she wants. Lol I hate this tropes in cdramas. π
"Whether dead or alive, you are mine..." lol so romantic π
Mei Lin: Yue Qin is a good man. You are also a good man...
Murong Jie: I don't want to be a good man
They are so cute and funny togetherπ
Him giving her his hand to bite again so she can remember things from the previous night??? And she actually biting him??? π I really love the beginning of our toxic couple's relationship π
It only had like 60 ratings when it was 8.7. The more ratings that come in the more varied the ratings are going…
Lol yea I think people should stop worrying about the ratings and just enjoy the show.
Lol I just said this to someone else, but the now beloved The Double was at a 7.8 ratings when it first premiered in it's first two weeks or so. I know that's hard to believe, seen that it now has one of the highest ratings on MDL. But it only got that with more people watching and rating.
So we just need to be patient. This is really good show. As more people discover the show and rate it, the ratings will go up!!
Then it's not your taste so don't force yourself.Don't worry, everyone have this moment. It called "personal preferance".
Lol still your personal preference, and that's okay. Not every show is made for everyone.
There's been a lot of popular shows that I haven't liked either. Just wasn't my taste or personal preference. And that was okay. Hope you find something else you will enjoy!
why the rating is dropping ?still 5 eps out ....from 8.7 to 8.4 and now 8.3
Don't worry, the ratings will go up. I know it's hard to believe now, but The Double started at a 7.8/ 7.9 on here when it first premiered. Lol shocking right? because of its high ratings now most people don't realize that it took some time for it to achieve thatπ
I remember doubting if I should watch it or not the first week it came out cause the ratings were so low. But I gave it a chance and each week, the ratings rose. Even the haters couldn't bring it down.
With more people watching and rating this show, the ratings of this show will go up top!!

Maybe it's because it was dialogue heavy, that's why it seemed boring?
We are still in the exposition stage, so unfortunately, a lot of talking will be done to establish the characters more.
It was such an amazing show. I still go back and rewatch every now and then!!

They are not afraid to get into the role/loose themselves in the role! that's why they have such good chemistry
