Lol I find it fascinating how this drama is taking its sweet time as if it's a 40 ep drama and not 30. The writers took the Rom out of romcom and left in the comedy, then they went on vacation 😂
The once good episodes that made viewers excited have turned into draggy and filler episodes making most viewers lose interest. They lost the momentum somewhere in the middle with the "will they/won't they" plot because it dragged on forever. The worst thing a writer could do is make people lose interest in the Main leads romance in a romcom.
Too bad though, cause this would have been such an amazing story if told right. Anyways, even though I have no interest in their relationship anymore, I'm still here to see how it all ends!
Not sure why so many negative comments.. they r so cute together.. dont worry they kiss tomorrow 😘
We all agree they are cute together. It's not them people are mad at. It's the way the writers have decided to write their story.
They have a beautiful story that could have been told many ways, but the writers chose this annoying, draggy way to tell it. Ergo, turning a good story into a bad one😒
Yes, they were especially cute in episode 22! I guess people are being annoyed by the near misses - at this point…
I think if they hadn't made it a POINT to have all these near mises, with all these interruptions, the "no kiss" wouldn't have been so noticeable.
They could have just given them beautiful romantic scenes with no kiss, no interruption and it wouldn't have been so glaring. There are many shows without kissing until like the last episode, but the writers don't unnecessarily tease the audience continuously EVERY EPISODE.
and the fact that she dated someone else but he still virgin because he fall for her from the start so he was…
Lol you yourself just said you didn't watch this drama. So why making assumptions?? Ep 1 will already give you all the info you need. But you didn't watch. You are going up and down this thread just saying the same thing over and over without even watching an episode of the drama.
I get it, cdramas sometimes do what you are saying. But don't base your opinion as fact for this drama. Watch it, then decide.
For your info, in this drama, they both liked eachother since high-school. It was the ML who proposed they be "bros" forever. The FL thought he was going to ask her out in high-school, but he only wanted them to be bros. So of course, she will date other people. If he is pinning for her, then it's was his fault in the beginning.
Again, watch each drama individually first before applying overall statements to it.🙄
Exactly!!! I agree with you. I enjoy cdramas because it's always nice to watch these characters fall in love slowly…
As Beautiful As You
It's a very good show. No modern drama this year has come close to being good as this show when it comes to how the romance is executed. It's so realistic and the natural chemistry between the leads is great.
I don't think it's the slow burn romance that's annoying most people. (Well, for me anyway, that's not what's annoying me). I think it's the execution of the "slow burn romance" that's annoying people. It's just not done right. It's become a drag rather than anticipated. The way the writers have executed this "slow burn" is making people lose interest, rather than excited.
Slow burn does not mean boring or lack of "romance" per say. Take for example, the recently aired The Double (that's the one I can think of right now) it was slow burn, but every interactions of the leads was anticipated by the viewers because we knew we will get something substantial out of it. Some episodes, the leads were not even seen together, but viewers still waited with bathed breath for their scenes because their "meet up" scenes was well done. And left viewers wanting more. Their scenes always belonged to them.
With this show, every time something slightly romantic happens with the leads, it gets interrupted by something stupid. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. (Save for the drunk scene. Doesn't really count cause FL doesn't remember) So of course it gets frustrating. The writers never focus on them and them alone, and it has gotten old really fast. There's nothing to look forward to because we know there would be another interruption.
They never just let them be peaceful in a scene that has "romance" Or just let them talk straight forward. They never just let them enjoy the moment. So of course, viewers will get frustrated. The unnecessary interruption (looking at you ep 19💀) has become cliched and a drag on the show. The writers have over done it and turn a good slow burn into a very boring oneðŸ«
This drama has more hot scenes than the all C-dramas I've watched the past year. I actually like C-dramas being…
Exactly!!! I agree with you. I enjoy cdramas because it's always nice to watch these characters fall in love slowly without "sex"
BUT, sensuality and playfulness is lacking in a lot of cdramas because of the fake "purity" thing they are always pushing. My biggest gripe is when characters are supposed to be in their late 20s/early 30s and are dating, but they always act like teenagers: no holding hands, shy to kiss, shy to be sensual with the person you are dating 🙄 MY BIGGEST PROBLEM??? when they have already done the "deed" but then acting like teenagers again the next day. Esp if the ML reach for a kiss and the FL pull away. Ooooo that pisses me off😂😂😂
Anyways, this is why I loved ABAY so much!!! It had sensual, playfulness, sexiness, and the characters just being regular people dating! There was no coyness in that show. It was beautiful to watch.
Hope when everyone especially that married couple aka feng weiran and his wife find out when the leads are dating…
I don't think they will be unsupportive per say, but I believe they will try their darnedest to plant doubts in the leads mindðŸ˜
I can just see it happening now, them saying some stupid stuff to the leads under the guise of "advice" ... omg just thinking about it is pissing me offðŸ˜ðŸ˜

The MLs story won't stress you oit per say. It's the way the writers chose to tell it that will stress you out. Once you watch, you will realize...

But like you said, it seems this is written by a newbie writer. Cause they took all the annoying clichés in the world and threw it at the script ðŸ˜
Let's just hope it stays that way... lol cause you never know with cdramas ðŸ˜

Back when SK actors and Chinese actors could act in eachother shows. But this stopped

Whether in historical, xianxia or modern, it's all very prevalent ðŸ˜
I can just see it happening now, them saying some stupid stuff to the leads under the guise of "advice" ... omg just thinking about it is pissing me offðŸ˜ðŸ˜
They will just piss me off. So for my peace of mind, I skip their scenes ðŸ˜
It's quite funny seeing them act all unsureðŸ˜
