Kind of. Before everything was revealed, we see her fully love the ML for who she taught he was (lol a good for nothing. That's how he presented himself. ) She loved all of him and did everything for him. (She even followed him to war and helped him). We see her help him figure things out, be his peace and support.
After everything was revealed, she didn't want anything to do with the ML cause she was heartbroken about the lies. (She even coughed blood cause she was so heart broken). And she didn't believe that the ML really loved her since everything they shared was based on a lie. But by then, the ML had truly fallen in love with her, so he had to prove it
Those 13 episodes is where they get to know eachother without the lies. Basically where the ML gets to know her more (her values and what she stands for) We also get to see her family dynamics.
In those episodes, we also get to see the ML strategizing for the emperor to take down the bad guys.

Then no, they never broke up. They got together for real (no fake marriage or lies) in ep 30, got a marriage certificate in ep 32 (or 31? Don't remember anymore). But they had a huge beautiful wedding in ep 36. It was amazing.

Don't let these two people gaslight you. You are correct in your criticism of the FL for her actions of falsely accusing the ML of abuse infront of the law. Her blaming him for her bad behavior (selling fake rougue) was already enough, but the writers took it too far with the fake abuse. I don't know why these two commenters are coming at you. No one in their right mind should watch that and think it's funny or it's "cute" or "she had no choice" blah, blah, blah. No excuses for that.

Their main concern is that the FL accuses the ML of abuse. Get it? FALSELY ACCUSE THE ML OF ABUSE infront of the officials. Even I as a woman while watching it, I was annoyed by how the show handled the whole situation. It was funny when she tried to blame her fake business on him. But the moment she lied that he abuses her was when it was no longer funny. But became serious. I don't know how old you both are (probably young) but that situation wasn't cute or funny.
And she never showed remose for that. Yes, they showed her missing him while he wasn't at home, but she never apologized for falsely accusing him of abuse and the show never addressed it again. After ML came from jail, everything just went on as normal.
For me, that left a bad taste in my mouth. Though I still like the FL, her ealier version they introduced to us wasn't really endearing. The way she acted was tolerable, but not endearing. She really came in and forcefully took over the ML life and acted as if he's obligated to care for her. The beginning of the show was funny, but sometimes hard to watch.
All this to say, this person is right in their criticism of the character for that particular action. Yall need to stop gaslighting them.

Once everything is revealed, and the FL finds out her identity (ep 17) you might even miss those "slow" moments of them because you won't get it again until ep 30. Lol so enjoy it now while it lasts.

I don't know what your personal definition of "strong" character is, but by the ACTUAL definition of strong FL, Ming Lan is one and fits the bill.
