Episode 26 and 27 were great, but I really enjoyed ep 27. It was light, witty, and funny. Reminds me of the earlier episodes and why I fell in love with this series in the first place.
ZWY is a fine actor and I like his acting style. He really embodies the character and brings CXZ to life nicely. Just like Jeremy Tsui, ZWY has a screen presence that can't be ignored and draws you in. I look forward to his next show.
I liked the conversation CXZ and LMT had on the street and at the border in ep 27. You really feel the emotions from both of them, even if LMT was "unemotional" about it. They are both people on a different path who met by mistake. CXZ wants to turn that mistake inot reality while LMT wants to let it go. I understand both party. Now let's see who wins this gameðŸ¤
Judging from the previews of the next episodes, is LMT really marrying someone else? Or is it all a ploy. Also wtf is Ziyu up to now? I guess we are returning back to the place drama. Hopefully our leads reconcile before we get thrown into all the court drama...
Side note: I had seen someone mention on here that it was nice to see FL work with older actors. Based on that person's comment, I was expecting the ML to be in his 40s or something...Lol so I went to check the ML age and he is only 30. Imagine my surprise. HE IS 30yrs old. He's only five years older than her. Not some grandpa. Guys, are you saying 30 is old?? Damn yall ruthless and too strickt with this age thing 💀💀

This is an ancient drama. I don't think we will really get those type of "hot" scenes you are hoping for. So be prepared. Lol.
I get where you are coming from with the chemistry thing. Most times, cdramas tend to create "romantic scenes" with harsh lighting, and not let things develop naturally. (I guess it's a creative style for them) So everything comes off awkward. But there are many other cdramas out ther with lots of natural chemistry:

Just to name a few. You just have to be patient and find them. Lol
Lol to me, the plot didn't really move in episode 24 and 25 when it comes to the leads relationship. Whole thing felt lackluster. I think it's because I was expecting much more to happen based on how ep 23 eneded and all the previous things that has happened so far. But those two episodes failed to deliver... Something was missing. Sigh.. Lets just hope the show doesn't lose momentum.
While I understand their separation, even agree that they need time apart to sort out thier emotions, I hope the writers don't drag it out.

I also understand her giving up on the revenge on prince Sui. That conversation she had with Ziyu means she doesn't trust him anymore and knows that he will not aid her in her quest for revenge. So it's better to give up now. Her plan wasn't well thought out anyway, so live to fight another day.
Ziyu is just a manipulator. That whole scene of them walking in the street pissed me off cause he set it all up. Lol. But I'm glad LMT has put a firm stop to all his wayward thoughts. It was good that way. Let's hope the writers stop it here and don't drag out a love triangle. Lol but I have little faith in cdrama writers.

Yea, that's one thing I hate about cdrama writers. They really don't know how to write strong FL characters with nuances. (Except for Ren Ruyi in AJTL) But mostly, they are always either childish or comes off as heartless. While the ML are portrayed as hopeless romantics. This then led viewers to hate the FL and her actions.
Like you said, showing her going through a "heartbreak" anything, would have suffice and be better received than how they are showing her now. The way they are showing her now is making viewers doubt her love for ML and cursing FL. Even though they are both at fault.

From what I've gathered from novel readers, there wasn't much angst in the novel either when the "big reveal" happened. Infact, in the novel FL accepted it way more than the drama showed. She never stabbed him, she just left.
He never really pursued her like the drama is showing. Apparently, he just assumed they were having a lovers spat and she will come back to him. It wasn't until a marriage was decreed for the FL that he got off his azz and pursued her. And according to novel readers, those parts were amazing.
I think the reason we are missing angst in the show is because the show tried too much to be different while wanting to follow the novel. But it couldnt find a good balance so couldn't portray it right.
But since everything is out in the open now, I hope the show gets on the right track and deliver...hopefully...

Yea, for me too, TPR did kind of open my eyes to how far people on this page will go to defend a badly written FL character. They made every excuse for her. Usually, in any show I watch, I try to see all sides of each characters and understand them. Understand their motivations and actions. But damn TPR left me highly baffled...
In the begining, I was one of her staunch supporters (for the first 15 or so episodes.)I liked that they didn't make her character weak and that she loved and hated equally and didn't mind taking revenge on her "bad" husband.
BUT after it was revealed that the husband isn't really bad, and it was just a misunderstanding between them, I expected her to adjust her thinking and actions. But what did she do?? Made puppy eyes at SML every time she sees him. (The person who's always trying to kill her and her husband) but lash out at her husband all the time. It just got too ridiculous for me to keep defending her. It got so bad at the end, because even towards the bitter end, knowing she is pregnant with ML child, she wanted to rush into the fire and save SML. The stupidness of it all made me very angry. Her character was so poorly written that I couldn't even enjoy the "cute" moments btw her and ML.
At the end of the day, no matter what, she was just a VERY BADLY written character and no matter how people look at it, or try to put it, her character lost all redeming qualities. Just writing this is making me annoyed all over again💀
Anyways... Yes Ziyu is like a child. He's not really as smart as he thinks he is. He's just good at using people to get what he wants then playing the innocent card. Lol I guess in a way he is smart.

I dropped LYF season 1 after like 10 episodes cause It got boring to me and I didn't have time to sit through 40 episodes of not one, not two, not three, but four. FOUR WHOLE love triangles... if the show had interest me more, then maybe it would have being bearable. But unfortunately, it didn't.
Lol you are right about one thing though, TPR is trash. (Not my baby ZLH though. He got treated the worse. But thank god his character gained popularity). I got so annoyed with that show that even after I sorta dropped it, (episode 35) I would visit the page every day to read people dunking on the show for it being trash. It gave me satisfaction cause I was HIGHLY pissed off at the producers for doing what they did to ML character. I didn't incite wars though, just watched the battles from afar😂😅
I do agree with that. It was a little unnecessary, given all the deception she did right back when she got her memories... And that cave scene did annoy me a little. However though I don't agree with her actions (stabbing) I can understand her thinking behind it. She was hurt, and hurt people hurt people...

I just don't like how some viewers are forgetting the main point of the show and just leaning into the romance. So I felt I had to comment on it.
The romance is a BIG part, yes, but so are the characters identities outside of the romance. Matter of fact, their identities outside of the romance (good/bad) is what makes the "romance" even possible and exciting. Otherwise the show will just be another lackluster drama.
We as viewers should accept all sides of their identities!

I mean, all things considered, and her actions, the stabbing is revenge... She did stab him cause she didn't want to think of their love together. Cutting it off.. So in a way, that's her revenge on him.
She did lure him into that cave under false pretense. She told him she was going to burn him in the fire. She didn't end up doing those things but she thought of it.
Again, not faulting her, cause she's in her right to feel how she feels and do what she did.
In this game, no one is right or wrong. They both just have to find a way to work through it. And us viewers need to get out of our emotions and look at the whole situation from all sides.
