Well, If they can make a prequel about Jiang Xue Ning as the evil empress that would be great
I think it would be cool to make a sequel about Zhang Zhe finding love, and have Bai Lu and Ling He play supporting roles in the story. I think in the novels, he was the only one besides her who was aware that they were on a second timeline...? So it could work.
I think the people who shipped Zhang Zhe and fell in love with him in that role deserve some satisfaction. They could pick up right where the bonus episode leaves off. Give the FL role to Lusi or somethin. Or, ya know what, I'd love to see him and princess Le Yang fall in love, she deserves a nice man after what she went through. They'd be an awesome match up.
The side story could be about Yan Lin facing and conquering his inner demons, because they never really get enough into his character in this story, we are all left kind of unsettled about him. In the second timeline, he does nothing wrong, but we all know that he's CAPABLE of some really awful shit because of the first timeline. So the side story could be about him having to face that shadow in himself and overcome it.
Not a very realistic wish, but hey.... If anyone important in the industry is reading this.... just think about it. It could make you a LOT of money. Just sayin.
They never showed the actual scene where she's playing the cello. That's just the most random cut-scene ever, and it's never explained or put into any context at all, lol.....
I was very disappointed that something called "Marry Me My Evil Lord" - which sounds like it should be sexy and dark - is actually just a cheap "Maiden Holmes" knockoff. Screw this show, I just can't.
I've learned over time that anything people keep calling "cute" and "fun" and "lighthearted", means it's not actually GOOD, it's just Hallmark-caliber fish food.
you should spoiler-tag all that stuff... cuz youre spoiling the plot for anyone who might want to actually discover…
Listen you're only a few eps in, and already ya got a lie detector machines, ya got ML waving guns around at FL, ya got an imaginary pregnancy, lost-in-the-woods survivalism.... I just fail to understand what's not to like here.
you should spoiler-tag all that stuff... cuz youre spoiling the plot for anyone who might want to actually discover…
It was simultaneously one of the best dramas and one of the worst dramas I've ever seen. A perfect blend of total garbage and deep mastery of human psychology. I gave it a 9. I could write college dissertations on how genius this show is.
yoon eun hye is ugly af in this show. She was a buck toothed, butt-lipped brachycephalic mess, and to make it worse, she was playing a character with a terrible personality. Looks are easy to overlook when someone has redeeming character traits. Not easy to overlook ugliness on the outside when it is accompanied by ugliness on the inside, which imo this character she plays here was. Kim Hye Ja is hotter than she is in this show.
I see you just joined MDL today. Congrats. Imagine giving Goong a higher rating than Lovely Runner.
Honestly if you want to watch it for the romance you are better off watching YouTube shorts 😂😂... their…
gaaahhhh that would have totally ruined it for me if i had done that. I guess if you're impatient or have a shorter attention span, that'd be good. but i love slowwww burn, and this was so epic, I would never skip the first 30, personally.
at the same time, i don't want anyone to watch this who wouldn't like it, because they'll just bring the rating down, lol.... I'm torn on what kind of advice to give. I don't get the pattern in nothingmuch's watchlist, so I don't know what to tell em. I think this drama is for a certain group of people with a certain kind of taste in shows.
It's only 11 episodes so far, but this is the first drama since SOKP I am invested almost as I was in SOKP.
well let me ask you this. lots of romance dramas fall into this pattern of first-half-romance, second-half-torture, last minute HE that doesn't take away the bruising left by all the "second-half-torture" part of the story.
Like they fall in love, and then somehow they get separated, or a misunderstanding occurs, and in the last half of the drama, there's just crying, fighting, missed opportunities, foiled plans, and ML and FL dont even have that much screentime together. They make you stress it all the way up to the halfway point of the last episode, and then they give you half-episode-or-less of some crappy unsatisfying HE like an apology that's not a good enough apology....
The prince fall for Ning'ers sister. The crown prince fall for his own cousin. Xie Wei's buddy falls for Ning'ers…
no no youre right im wrong. the sickly dude. I'm so bad at these details. Half the shows I watch have an emperor or a bunch of princes or idk and i don't ever pay much attention.
wow, thanks for the comment here! 👍 will pass this one then and go search for something else to watch as I…
I just perused you r watchlist... you've seen so much of the shit I'd recc. But here's a few you haven't seen yet that I thought were at least better than a 7
Undercover Affair - Short c-drama, kinda fiery and badboy-hotness
Playing House - Freakin funny and kinda hot short-length c-drama
My Fated Boy - sweet and spicy, and falls in the "fluff" category. I'm pretty sure the kiss in the last episode is a french kiss.
Drunk To Love You - If you like getting choked up and crying with your romance, surprisingly poignant for a short-length... but also good spice levels & good HE.
Falling Into You - Another sweet and spicy fluff-genre romance.
Time To Fall In Love - kinda dumb, but there are some hilarious moments, and some hottt moments. Too few and far between, but it wasn't a bad one-time watch.
I am curious: Who likes it when women talk in the whiny, baby voice?
It's chinese coquettishness. So much like flirting in any culture, some are good at it and some are cringe. I hate whiny baby voice when most c-actresses do it, but a few are good at it and it doesn't bother me as much, like for instance Rosy in Hidden Love was awesome.

there were some nice kiss scenes.... and nothing about it outright sucked except the way they chose a cop-out ending.

Attempting to belittle me, simply because my opinion displeases you, is infact the epitome of "entitled" behavior.
