Hm, I'll have to take care then. When I go to view it, I'll sample how much I can take and go from there. It does sound like an intriguing film though.

That sounds very promising! Sometimes I feel the need for a simple, colorful, sweet Taiwanese romance. It's good to hear there's a very good one waiting for me when it concludes :)
I'm not sure if we discussed it. Do you often watch Taiwanese dramas? Do you have other recommendations, if so?

Hello again! It has been a while right? Thanks so much for the birthday wishes. Sometimes it's so strange to get a year older.
I noticed you've kept with Knife and Flower. How do you feel about it so far? It looks so beautiful, but it seems like something I'd want all of at once to start :,)

That's so kind of you to say; I'm honestly flattered. Though I write reviews for fun, I like to give my exact thoughts on the matter. It may get wordy at times, but in the long run it's worth it. :) Feel free to ask or recommend me anything. I might take some time to get around to it, but I'll definitely check no matter what. For now, I'll start with In The Mood For Love~
Also thank you for the sweet birthday wishes! I hope our relationship will be more friendly than hateful, despite how it usually goes with filmmakers and critics, haha. The stars point to yes! XD
It's wonderful to hear Lovers portrays mature romance. Sometimes it can be nice to see candy love, but real passion is a must. I couldn't imagine some of the usual tropes applied to something like a serious crime drama...it'd be horrifying. The cop suddenly falls on top of his quarry; they share an accidental kiss...!?

Ah, yes! Lee Jun Ki played the role of "Boy," in The Hotel Venus. He looks somewhat different than he does now though; his appearance before military service to now is much changed in my opinion. It was so nostalgic to see his sweet, round-faced look again, haha.
I definitely agree with your more specific points, especially about the narration. As much as I love listening to Kusanagi-san's voice, that is. Thank you for asking my opinion, I'm flattered that it could be useful to you. :)
Once I complete the episode 4 recap for Good Doctor, I'll have to give that film a shot. Since I've finally fallen between dramas, it's about time for me to start Lovers as well, so you'll probably get a lot of commentary on it from me soon~

Oh! I'm glad to hear the review was helpful to you :) It was a neat film, not perfect of course, but worth a watch.
Is I Saw The Devil as bloody and hard to watch as everyone says by the way? I felt a little daunted by people saying so, but if it's not *too* much...

Oh man, I'm having that same issue with Love Around at the moment. Taiwanese dramas air for so long. :,) How is Just You? I've been meaning to pick it up after completing a few others.
I have a feeling that this drama will end with Kim Do Han and Cha Yoon Seo being a couple ("Si On has changed…
I agree that Do Han and Yoon Seo seem like a more likely couple. While it would be nice to have Shi On develop a normal romantic relationship, his current state...I'm not sure his developmental level allows for it. There are, of course, autistic individuals that get married and have children, but unfortunately it varies from case to case. Shi On's progression is ultimately what will determine things.
Ah, great article! I'm all about this Basketball drama. The historical atmosphere seems like it would be interesting. :)

Ah, thanks so much for the information! I do like a good melodrama once in a while, so it should be a good watch between more light-hearted shows.
As to dramas of 2013, I've seen Cruel City, Shark, Nine: Nine Times Time Travel, That Winter The Wind That Blows, All About my Romance, King Flower, and Karamazov no Kyodai. If you add in currently airing that list would include Good Doctor, Love Around, and Two Weeks. :)

Oh, I haven't yet. I saw it listed on Netflix and thought it sounded interesting though; the cast also includes Lee Byung Hun, so it's very star studded, haha.

I've completed Hotel Venus! Thank you again for your recommendation.
I was so surprised to see a young Lee Jun Ki performing alongside Kusanagi-san. It was definitely a bonus. There were some veteran Japanese actors I noticed, including Kagawa Teruyuki (Doctor). Great performances all around. :) Hotel Venus was thought provoking and unique; it felt very Japanese despite the Korean dialogue. Showing most of the scenes as colorless really helped the atmosphere. Overall, I felt it had a beautifully constructed story line and executed well.
With that said... the music had me scratching my head at times (none of the English vocals meshed with the scenes, for instance). I can think of a few notable times things very old-school art house, which lent it a feeling of *trying* to be hip. Lastly, it was probably a touch too long...but might just be me. I ended up rating it a 7. :)

Would you say Jang Ok Jung, Live in Love is worth watching? Since it's completed, I've been considering it. I really enjoy sageuks and keep running into the story of Jang Ok Jung, so....
I'm very careful with selection as well. I usually go based on actors and actresses, unless the plot can sway me. If I like both AND the leads are attractive, well. That's definitely a jackpot. xD
Oh, definitely, I agree. I think with that particular drama they could have taken it down about ten episodes. At least it was a satisfying experience; with that many hours invested, there's no excuse for a poor narrative.

No problem at all. We seem to have similar tastes in film, since I also truly enjoyed Koizora. Both films were so lovely.
Glad to hear you liked Shark. I found the conclusion fitting as well, just what I expected for the character. It introduced me to Kim Nam Gil, so I can't complain, haha. Thank you so much for reading our recaps, by the way. Good Doctor is a total pleasure to watch, so writing up the episodes is as well. :)

Oh, I agree. It's less painful to finish a floundering series if all of the episodes are at hand. It seems we have a similar genre pool though, that's fun~
Oh, I definitely enjoy film. Though I'm sure there are a lot of fine revenge movies out there, the only ones that come to mind at the moment are the Vengeance Trilogy, Old Boy, and (My Kingdom to a lesser extent).

I definitely am. The lead actor was brilliant in Nankyoku Tairiku as well, so I felt there was probably a reason for the huge ratings. Have you noticed whether the subtitling has been consistent or not? I'm always worried groups will leave a project in limbo @_@

I've been really interested in Goddess of Fire and Who Are You. Usually I try to limit myself on how many airing dramas I take up, but there are just too many interesting ones this season. How do you usually end up making your selections?
The longest one I've seen to date was about 54 episodes. It was fun and honestly I missed the characters a lot afterward. But near the end, I became a little antsy to move on if that makes sense. Seems like most of the ones I'm interested in lately are over 30 hours long though....

I'm currently working on Kekkon Shinai and the currently airing Good Doctor, Two Weeks, and Love Around. Soon I may start Giant as well, but the number of episodes feels daunting...@_@
