irl he’s 27 and she’s 23. I really like that they chose actors who are about the same age as their characters. The casting of the leads is flawless in every way. 💓
I don’t know which secret the ml’s father found out, whether it was that she lied to get the job or dating…
I may be wrong but I thought the Chairman slapped her because he thought she leaked the product data to another company. Basically he thought that she was a spy for another company and sabotaged the new baby carrier that they just developed. Of course she didn’t (she was set up by the ML’s sister). Even if she did something terribly wrong that still wouldn’t give him the right to slap an employee.
The ig shows her carrying him on her back (on a level floor) for about 5 m. Her character supposedly lifted him…
The extra 2 clips didn’t change my opinion. They don’t show Ahn Eun Jin lifting him onto her back when he was lying flat on the floor. They also don’t show her walking down any stairs with him on her back. The camera work and her acting created an illusion which was meant to trick viewers into thinking that she carried an unconscious man through a burning building and down a long flight of stairs. She’s a good actress and she didn’t actually do that. Carrying her costar a few meters is completely different than rescuing an unconscious man from a burning building.
she actually carried him on her back😭🤣 and yall said it was unrealistic
The ig shows her carrying him on her back (on a level floor) for about 5 m. Her character supposedly lifted him on her back when he was unconscious and carried him down a long staircase. There’s quite a difference between reality and the drama storyline. But bravo to Ahn Eun Jin for managing to carry him for that short distance. 👏
The moment in Episode 1 when I realized this director also directed "One Dollar Lawyer" was the moment…
Thank you for mentioning the director’s connection to One Dollar Lawyer. It all makes sense now why those two actors had a cameo appearance in this drama.

Your review is one of the most balanced and informative reviews that I’ve read for any drama on MDL. I’m one of the people who upvoted your review. Please don’t be discouraged by the few people who downvoted your excellent review.
I’m looking forward to reading more of your reviews in the future.

Your review is thoughtful and informative but you may be getting downvoted because of the review date. Your review was dated November 22 which is the day the first episode was released.
It’s obvious that you watched this entire drama but starting your review the day the first episode was released may be problematic to some people. The early date of review negatively affects your credibility and shows that you’re favorably biased towards this drama to begin with. Your review may have gotten a better reception if you had waited until the drama had finished before posting it.

Yes, you are entitled to have your own opinions. I completely support your right to voice your opinions even if I don’t agree with them. People who disagree with you are also entitled to voice their opinions.
If you see any real hate on MDL report it and block those users. I personally haven’t seen any real hate. I’ve only seen comments from people with varying opinions.
The whole plot of this drama is the fake marriage. What that means is that there will be a lot of LYING and MISUNDERSTANDINGS.…
Both perspectives of what? You seem to understand both perspectives of the two lead fictional characters but you’re not willing to try to understand different perspectives of the real life people who are commenting about this drama. Some people believe this drama is perfect while others see this drama as enjoyable but flawed. It’s entirely normal for people to have various opinions about a drama.
Telling people to go watch a show made in a different country reveals your prejudice. MDL is an international site. Users are going to have different perspectives about dramas and they’re entitled to voice their opinions. It’s normal to see drama discussions from widely different viewpoints. That’s what makes MDL interesting. It would be strange if everyone had the exact same opinion about a drama.
So much of Go Da Rim's character development and background was front-loaded that it's easy to forget how much…
You’re listing reasons for Darim’s lack of self-esteem, and I think many people see that and agree. But there are those of us who also want to see her gain confidence and realize her self worth. Real life character development takes many years but this is a rom com and we only have 14 total episodes.
Many people expected that Darim should have been showing some positive growth to the way she perceives herself and the way she behaves by episode 8 but she’s not. I want to see her break out of her shell and realize that she has value as a person despite her circumstances.
The actress is doing a good job of portraying the character. It’s the writer’s fault that Darim hasn’t changed from who she was in the beginning .
hey ya all. This drama is 75% over and Da Rim is THE SAME AS IN THE BEGINNING, that is the problem. She can start…
Poverty is not an excuse for weak moral qualities just the same as being rich doesn’t excuse obnoxious behavior.
It bothers me that the screenwriter wrote Darim as a weak individual with no character development. The writer should have written her as a flawed person who steadily learns and grows throughout the drama. This drama is okay but it could have been so much better with a more talented screenwriter.
That's the thing. Him being drawn to her was never based on lust. Her picking up tangerines for that heavily pregnant…
He was only going to use her to sign her former boyfriend as a client. He didn’t think much about her as a person until their so called dynamite kiss at the party. That’s what jumpstarted everything. Do you actually think he’s obsessed with her because she was kind to a pregnant lady and her little daughter?
You're overthinking this story waaaay too much. Lighten up.
From the first 2 episodes I thought this would be a fluffy from com. The writer had other ideas and decided to make the FL pitiful and helpless. After episodes 3 - 8 she still has shown no character growth.
This show isn’t supposed to be a fantasy. I can’t turn off my brain completely so that I cheer on the leads getting together. I’m still hoping that the writer can turn things around but I don’t know if she has the skill to do it.
The ML’s lust or sexual attraction to the FL will fade over time. It happens in all relationships. After the lust fades, what does the main couple have in common with each other? So far their relationship has been built upon lust and lies.
The writer has made the FL to be a depressed individual who takes the easy way out of a situation. She lied to her ex boyfriend, she lied to get a job, she lied to her coworkers and she lied to her friends and family. What does she have in common with the ML? What little truth they actually know about each other is good enough for a short fling but not a long term relationship.
The ML deserves to be with someone that has a more dynamic personality and who can be a more positive force in his life. Unless the writer can change the personality of the FL 180 degrees in the last 6 episodes I hope the ML and FL don’t end up together. I’m having a hard lime believing that they are compatible. They feel a sexual attraction but that’s it.
I know that the official trailer for this played up the Cinderella aspect of this romance. Why did I foolishly hope that this could be something more than a fairytale? I guess I’m still looking for a more realistic kdrama rom com.
Don't think so, it's already listed on Netflix- unless it comes in Select regions
Idol I finally showed up on the Netflix coming soon list in my region. I was worried because Netflix has had Cashero in the coming soon section for quite a while and that show will be released 4 days after Idol I. Oh well, I’m just glad that Netflix picked up Idol I even if they’re not promoting it as heavily as some other kdramas.
y'all would never survive a c-drama that is 36 episodes long with thousands of misunderstanding 😂😂 all I…
Cdrama writers know how to write about relationships that take place over a long period of time. They’re okay with bringing the couple together early in the drama and showing the ups and downs of how their relationship changes over time.
For some reason kdrama writers think that the main couple can’t get together until the final episode. They don’t know how to write about healthy relationships, only fairytale romance.
i have to disagree...this is a slow burn. I hate when the main characters get together in half of the drama, and…
The problem is that the official trailer for this drama made it look like it was a fast pace lighthearted rom com. Now viewers are finding out that the writer put in so many filler scenes just to stretch it to 14 episodes. This drama has slowed down so much at this point that I can’t call it a slow burn romance. There’s barely even a tiny spark for 90% of each episode.
So after he learns the truth he’s supposed to just say oh well… let’s kiss? Wouldn’t he feel at least…
At this point my heart wants to fast forward to them having a healthy and happy relationship, but I’m afraid that the screenwriter has a different plan.
I’m looking forward to reading more of your reviews in the future.
