From the synopsis and teasers I believe she has a very valid reason to be THIS mad (the funeral scene from teaser…
I don’t care what happened to her in the past, there’s no excuse for acting rude, loud, and angry towards EVERYONE around her. Being hurt doesn’t give you the right to hurt someone else.

As long as the reviews conform to the basic MDL standards they should remain. This drama shouldn’t have different standards for the reviews than other dramas.
Some users pay attention to the reviews and others don’t bother reading them. Most MDL users are discerning enough to use their good judgement and critical thinking to understand whether a review contains useful information or is just nonsense. It doesn’t matter how many upvotes or downvotes a review has, nonsense is still nonsense.
In the broader context how will the reviews on MDL affect a drama? How many people watched the show on tvN and Netflix without even knowing that MDL exists? MDL has an estimated 500,000 users but how many millions of viewers watched BAYM on tvN and Netflix?
It’s hard to take the review ratings seriously when a drama like When the Phone Rings manages to keep balanced…
A rating of 8.5 on MDL is a good rating. Not everyone thinks this drama (or any other drama) deserves a perfect 10.0 rating. Ratings and reviews are subjective and reflect personal tastes. Bon Appetit Your Majesty is already rated as an above average drama. People are always going to disagree on what the rating should be.
By the way, the ratings for When the Phone Rings is based on 57.6k user’s opinions. The rating for BAYM is based on only 17.8k users. Over time more people will rate the drama and it will result in a slightly more accurate rating.
But in the long run, does it matter if the ratings go up or down a few tenths of a point?
It was good to see them together one last time. I'm a little disappointed that they didn't add any new scenes.…
I’m really happy that they included Lee Joo Ahn (Gong Gil ) in the special. He’s gorgeous and I look forward to seeing him in future projects. I don’t understand what the actors are saying without subtitles but I could stare at Lee Chae Min and Lee Joo Ahn all day. 😍
According to the hashtag #BonAppetitYourMajesty on x.com the special episode of BAYM that aired on tvN today was a discussion of the drama by 5 of the cast members.
The special did not show any added scenes of the drama so I doubt that it will be made available on Netflix later. TVN may may put it on their yt channel later but they don’t usually add subtitles.
Edited to add: tvN released the video of the special already on their yt channel.
It was lunar eclipse. That's why...You don't really need eye protection to watch it ❤️It's beautiful isn't…
Please rewatch the first 15 minutes of episode 1. The pilot of the plane says “If you look out the window you’ll see a truly special sight. Our flight is currently passing through the path of a total solar eclipse.”
You’re talking about the moon in episode 12 but the OP (Yibo) was talking about the solar eclipse in episode 1.
that page that tore before she travelled back to the future was the page actually needed for the time travel as…
Viewers can see that a torn page of the Mangunrok fell on the king after Ji Yeong time traveled so it’s reasonable to assume that the king used that torn page to time travel to her. There is at least a one month time jump from when Ji Yeong woke up in the hospital to when she started working in the restaurant. That would have allowed the king time to arrive in 2025 and become a little familiar with the modern world.
Although the ending was happy because they reunited in 2025, some of us would have liked a little more time with the couple in the modern world. I loved the drama but rated it 9/10. The Ming competition drug on and on but the happy ending seemed to be over too fast.

I agree with you that the ending felt rushed. The Ming story arc took 4 full episodes of this drama and contributed very little to the central plot. If the Ming cooking competition was reduced to only 1 round instead of 3 there would have been much more time to spend towards a more detailed ending. I feel that better editing of the Ming subplot would have freed up at least 1 - 2 episodes time wise.
I’m curious, which language subtitles did they change? They didn’t change the English subtitles in episode…
For various reasons I’ve checked 3 times today (the last time was 5 minutes ago) and both the English and English (CC) still use the word “companion” in episode 10. Netflix has not corrected or changed it.
I’m curious, which language subtitles did they change? They didn’t change the English subtitles in episode…
On Netflix there’s always a wording difference between the English subtitles and the English(CC) subtitles. Did you accidentally switch to the other version of English subtitles from when you first watched episode 10?
What is with the changing subtitles on Netflix? I rewatched Ep. 10 before finishing the series and noticed that…
I’m curious, which language subtitles did they change? They didn’t change the English subtitles in episode 10. (I rewatched several scenes to check.) And sadly they still have subtitles that did a poor job of translating the king’s proposal to Ji Yeong.
It usually takes a long time for Netflix to change incorrect subtitles. I remember Netflix did such a bad job of translating a newscast line in an episode of When the Phone Rings that it caused a worldwide uproar and people were threatening to boycott. It still took about a month for Netflix to slyly insert the correct translation.
I kept wondering exactly how the King YiHeon also came to the future. But now I think I’ve figured it out.I think…
I’d also love to know more about how Yi Heon adapted so quickly to the modern world. He wore an expensive suit to meet her and cooked her a breakfast using modern appliances. Just a few more details about their modern life would have been nice.
Do you want the Einstein’s Theory of Relativity and quantum mechanics explanation? If you’re looking for the kdrama explanation he traveled to the future the same way she did. (The Mangunrok.)
An article on the MDL homepage says that LCM has become a highly sought-after actor due to his performance in this drama. I hope he is able to pick roles that showcase his wide range of skills, but especially his powerful yet vulnerable side. In my opinion his versatile acting abilities are wasted when they keep casting him in school dramas.
