her one coworker is so annoying i wanna see him get the shit beat out of him same with that loser reporter
All of her fellow lawyers are jerks. Instead of supporting her when the articles came out they just gossiped about her and acted as if she did something wrong to them.

Also, I hope the prosecutor who bullied her in school loses his job and gets exposed for what a POS he is.

Xiao Zhiyu has become my favorite green flag ML. At the end of episode 28 he says this about Hu Xiu …
“She doesn’t need anyone’s approval to prove her worth and she doesn’t need anyone’s attention to give her meaning. She exists, she grows, and she becomes who she wants to be.”

Can someone explain to me whether FL drank alcohol without knowing she was pregnant?
Part of her job is to sample beer so yes she drank alcohol up until the doctor confirmed she was about 4 or 5 weeks pregnant. Because of a past medical condition she didn’t even think that she could conceive so she kept drinking until she found out she was definitely pregnant.

The hallucinations caused by the brain injury from the accident (shown by the long coma) are actually very dangerous.…
Prepare yourself to get very angry. I loved this drama up until episode 7 when the writers took a dark turn and made the FL have a serious mental illness. The writers romanticized her mental illness and sent the wrong message to the audience. Comments here tell me that many viewers believe the drama’s incorrect message that the love of an understanding and supportive man cures mental illness.

happy ending???
The screenwriters didn’t leave the ending open to interpretation. They were not subtle at all. The last line that the FL says at the end of episode 12 is “ Finally, we’ve reached our happy ending.” The ML replies “…Because our ending will be a perfectly happy one.”

The acting felt natural, the scenes felt realistic, and the drama was captured in a beautiful way.
I have the opposite opinion. Mu Hui’s serious mental illness wasn’t handled in a realistic way at all. Love doesn’t cure mental illness. Knowing about childhood trauma doesn’t cure mental illness. This drama would have been so much more satisfying and realistic if the screenwriters hadn’t included a serious mental illness for the female lead character.

Yes. Very.
In the last scene the main couple tell the viewers that this is their happy ending. 🤦‍♀️ Nothing subtle about it. How bad is the screenwriting that the characters have to tell the audience that this is a happy ending?

Overall, I love this drama series – it’s a roller coaster ride about how to deal with and cope with your inner…
Do Ra Mi is not Mu Hui’s inner demon. Mu Hui has a serious mental illness called Dissociative Identity Disorder (D.I.D). It used to be called multiple personality disorder. It’s a chronic mental illness. Over 70% of the people with this mental illness attempt suicide or self harm. Perhaps the writers of this drama made the poor choice of having the actors portray this mental health illness as something less serious than it actually is.
On Can This Love Be Translated? Jan 17, 2026
This is not a comedy romance. It’s a psychological thriller with some romance and a sprinkling of comedy. If Netflix had more honestly marketed this drama there wouldn’t be so many disappointed viewers who expected a pure rom com but instead got something much darker. It’s a good drama but it’s definitely not light and fluffy.

Her mental health becomes a huge focus by episode 7. The tags on this MDL page are lacking or incomplete.

An inner demon is usually something negative, so why did he call Xiguang that? Was “inner demon” a mistranslation?

They revealed it to the viewers but at this point in the drama the ML doesn’t remember saving her in the past. He thinks that he met her for the first time when she showed up as a lawyer willing to take on his case. I’m looking forward to seeing how he finds out about his past connection with the FL.

We have to understand the fact that she is not in love with Idol Ra-Ik. If she was then, she would be weird to…
How much time did she spend with him after he saved her? I got the impression it was just a brief encounter but I might be wrong.

Why are the previews so far ahead of the released episodes? I want to watch the rest of the 36 episodes immediately but have to wait as they’re slowly being released one or two at a time.

The writers are trying really hard to make us sympathize with 2ML in these latest episodes 16/17. I don’t.
I fast forward every time I see him on the screen. 😠 I get so tired of dramas that have a rude jerk 2ML and keep putting him in the drama as filler. I don’t want him to have a redemption arc because I don’t care about him. I want the story to focus more on the main couple.

This was filmed December 2, 2024 to April 3, 2025. The story takes place around 2012 when the PV industry (solar energy) saw a massive growth in China.

Episode 7 reminded so much of the crazy cancelation of celebrities we've had these few months..... I absolutely…
Not only cancel culture but also it reminds about the extreme pressure celebrities must endure from the public who want them to be 100% perfect. So many celebrities recently have committed s**cide because of the impossible expectations and extreme pressure.

This show has its comedy moments but it also makes you stop and think about social issues and other things. I was reluctant to start this show but I’m so glad that I did.
