Hey! Thanks so much for the positive feedback! That drama seemed pretty popular and I was hesitant to write a fairly negative review of it. But I'm glad you appreciate my opinion. :)

I see you enjoyed King 2 Hearts as well. Wasn't that an amazing drama? I generally don't care for political dramas, but the acting above all else was so superb, I was instantly sucked in. Particularly Lee Seung Ki. He's come such a long way in sharpening his acting chops! He's not the same kid that was in My Girlfriend is a Gumiho, that's for sure!

I broke down and wrote a review of Pasta today. You can see my very detailed elaboration for why I found it offensive, there. :)

I agree. It's fun to go into something completely unbiased. But I don't know. I appreciate having other opinions to help me make a more, let's say educated decision. But it depends, really. People were saying stupid things about I Do I Do, but I totally ignored them and have been watching and loving the drama. I think this is one of those conversations where I have to end it with the always earth-shattering revelation: IT DEPENDS. :)

I really like this site overall though. I joined it on a whim, not expecting much. But now I check it all the time... Probably too much. haha! It's fun!

You know, I was just talking to someone about that. If a review is well written and their opinion is expressed clearly and intelligently, it holds a lot of weight with me. A friend was saying that she doesn't like to write reviews for things if she didn't enjoy it. I told her PLEASE write reviews if you dislike a drama or movie. It helps save people like me from wasting my time in the future! For example, if the first episode of some drama rubs me the wrong way, a well-written review saying it's basically crap and not to waste my time will stop me from soldiering on. I, for one, am thankful for that.

But I'll take your advice. Although there are a lot of seemingly crazy popular dramas out there that I could not stomach. I'm not going to go on a witch hunt though. Not today, anyway. :)

Also, your Kim Sam Soon review is good, too! I loved that drama, but I can understand your POV.

Also, I just read your review for my Girlfriend is a Gumiho! Damn! Hahaha! It's funny to me because you pointed out all of the things I knew subconsciously, but chose to ignore for the sake of shallowly enjoying the drama for what it was... Cute. ha!! Nice review though! Wow!

You know, I just wrote that review and was wondering if people would bash me for it. It seems as if that drama was pretty popular, although I don't understand why. I'm glad at least one person agrees with me! :) Thanks!

And I agree! It did start off a little slow, but something about it pulled me in as well. I think for me it was the moment where Ji An was sitting on the curb in the rain, and Tae Kang seemed like he was going to abandon her, but he came back with the huge table umbrella! I think that was my first "aww" moment. ha! I'm amazed at how my feelings for Tae Kang have changed over the course of this drama.

At first I disliked him and thought he was silly and weak (and that Jang Woo's acting skill was poor). But after episode 8, I realized that while Tae Kang is not too bright, his strength is his kindness and determination. My feelings about him literally did a 180!

Hmm, just tried it and it still isn't working. How strange! Ah well, thanks for the suggestion. :)

I noticed that you're also currently watching I Do I Do. What do you think of it? I think it's really smart and mature. I also love Kim Sun Ah. Such a great actress.

Hey there! Loved your review of The Art of Seduction. I have a feeling your review was better written and more entertaining than the movie itself! :) Also, how did you add "GO" to your favorite movie listing? Every time I try to search for it in my favorites, it never shows up! Did you type anything other than "go"? Thanks in advance!

I respect other people's reviews, and will often read a review before I watch a drama. If the review is written intelligently and they clearly express why they like or dislike a drama, that can really impact whether I watch something or not. If I'm still curious, I'll watch one episode, but if I find myself already agreeing with the reviewer, than I don't even waste my time (or go forward). In that sense, I appreciate bad reviews because they save me from major disappoint later, so I feel I should do the same. I dropped that drama Fashion King because the first episode rubbed me the wrong way. Then when I saw the bad reviews, they just confirmed my suspicions and I felt thankful. haha!

But if a review is like, "This drama sucks! The girl sucks! The guy is stupid omg I h8te it lolz" Then obviously it's not going to hold much weight with me. :)

Ha! That would be a "what an idiot" moment for me. And I know, you totally want to light into them with a burning fire, but you can't be that person, so you just have to walk away. I have to remind myself that people are always entitled to their opinions, but people are NOT allowed to bash others because their opinions differ. You can respectfully disagree, but that's it, you know? Even if I think you're an idiot, unfortunately I can't say it... well, type it. I can say it all day and they don't know. haha!

My review policy is a little different from yours. Because if I watch a drama that offends me (Pasta) or that I feel is an epic waste of my time (City Hunter/Heartstrings) I go into super hero mode. I feel it is my responsibility to protect the weak and warn them against such evil doings! :)

Yah dude, this character limit thing sucks BIG TIME. But I can understand why they do it. It'd probably be easier to just send messages. lol!

I just read your review! Very nice!!! Seeing your taste, I feel more confident about recommending dramas to you! I'm going to bug you about watching Kim Sam Soon in the near future. :)

And that is so funny about the fox rain! It makes sense to me that they would have similar sayings in other cultures... Except when I was growing up, my dad told me that when it rains it means the devil is beating his wife....>.>..<.<... Yeah NOT the same thing. AT. ALL.

K2H was so dang good! I've been reflecting on that drama lately and how impressed I was with Lee Seung Ki and Ha Ji Won's acting. They really went toe to toe with acting and had such great chemistry. For some reason I can't say it's a favorite. But it was so impressive.

You know, I do spend a lot of time checking everyone's fashion and shoes in this drama, now that you bring it to my attention! Haha! Maybe there's a psychological reason as to why I like this drama so much! Like some kind of Freudian, subconscious appreciation. :)

I read the funniest comment the other day on the "Lie to Me" page. Someone said:

"At first I thought Kang Ji Hwans voice was hilarious so I spent the first two episodes imitating him and laughing at myself. When I got tired of doing that I realized that it was, though a bit lame, a quite alright drama."

I laughed at that comment for a good 20 minutes! That's totally something I would do. Probably something most of us would do! Makes me glad that at least I'm not the only one that's crazy. :) Crazy loves company, I guess. haha!

Isn't it funny how watching these dramas also helps you to develop the odd habit of talking to yourself out loud? I'm the worst if it's a drama where I don't like a character or if I disagree with something they do. I instantly start shouting at my computer and calling people idiots. Only if I'm alone though. If I'm in the house with my parents, I stay pretty quiet, but my mom has informed me that I'll be sitting in complete silence, and then I'll burst out with random, loud laughter. She thinks it's the strangest thing. But of course, it makes perfect sense to me! I'm watching something, and it's funny! So I laugh. Duh!

<.<.... But I can see her point of view, and I'm sure I seem totally bananas. Haha!

Park Shin Hye is the girl that's also in Heartstrings, right? She's the only one I noticed (in the scene on the bus?) because I've only watched one episode of You're Beautiful. So I wouldn't easily recognize the other folks.

I like it though when other starts pop up in dramas, or when they make reference to another drama or pop song in a drama. Makes me feel like I'm in "the know" about Korean pop culture. haha! Unless it's a reference I don't get, and then it just goes over my head. :)

Haha! One time I woke up in the middle of the night in a panic, "did I check the spoiler box on that one comment!?!?" Like I'll be banned or something. Turns out I did it anyway. But no worries. You can't even tell what drama we're talking about.

I didn't feel bad for Dr. Hottie. He ended up being Hottie-sensei at the university, so he was fine (I don't know what "teacher" is in Korean lol!).

You should totally write a review for Gumiho! Lately I've been writing episode reviews for I Do I Do. I am falling in love with that drama!! If it stays a smart, well-written drama until the end, I'll probably write a review for the whole thing once it's finished. It's SO GOOD! It makes me wanna literally hug my computer. LOL! I almost did today! I had to stop myself!

Also, I watched 200 Pounds Beauty today. Goooooood movie! First Korean movie I watched that didn't feel rushed.

Oooooo ma gosh. Dude. I LOVE I Do I Do right now! It's SO good! And I felt the EXACT same way as you about Jang Woo (Tae Kang)! I even said it on the drama homepage here! I thought his acting abilities were lacking and that he was a weak lead. But he's totally grown on me now.

His character changed for me around episode 8. And by episode 9, I was in love with him. It's bananas how my feelings did a 180. :) That's what I call good writing!

I LOVE this drama. It reminds me of Kim Sam Soon (well, yes, because of the amazing Kim Sun Ah), but mostly because of how awesomely written and mature it is. So far I am not disappointed at all.
