See, this is why I like Kim Sun Ah. It sounds like she kicks ass in pretty much ANY role she plays. But I wouldn't say she's always the same character, like some actors. I'll add She's on Duty to my list!
I saw the new drama she's in and the mediocre reviews as well. But I think it's too early to tell. Most of the people who were complaining about the drama had only watched two episodes. That's too soon to decide I think. I'm going to wait until it's almost completely uploaded before I check that one out.

Yah, you'll have to let me know what you think once you watch those last two episodes. The general consensus seems to be pretty much the same though. I don't regret watching it, but I'm rolling my eyes at it. :)

And hey, Queen wasn't as bad as, say, Heartstrings or Sh*tty Hunter for me. I don't blatantly regret watching it like I did those two effing dramas. haha!
I'm not watching anything new. I'm re-watching My Girlfriend is a Gumiho because I'm suddenly in the mood to re-run it. Such a cute drama. I might re-run Protect the Boss after this. :)
How about you? Watching anything new/interesting?

Oooooh m'gosh! That video is too funny! haha!
I'm glad My Girl is going well. I looked it up finally and it does sound pretty cute. You'll have to let me know how you like it once you're done.
I started Gumiho today and I'd forgotten about some characters! Just erased them from my mind apparently.

Yeah, Queen InHyun is one of those dramas that trips and falls at the finish line. I think it should have ended with episode 14. Those last two episodes were totally unnecessary. They just created more confusion.
The amount of time that supposedly passed between their last meeting (when the talisman turned black) and when they met again is completely incongruent with various elements of the story line.
Like you mentioned, how did he get service? And even ignoring that, how did the battery last a year without being charged? Eeeeven ignoring that, why did his hair never grow?? And then, on her end, why when she tried to call him the first time, the operator said the number didn't exist. But a year later she tries and it works??? WTF!?
My takeaway from that drama is the great chemistry between the lead characters and all their epic face sucking. I'm satisfied with those things. lol!
This dude looks JUST like Kimura Takuya to me. He's his Korean doppelganger!! :)

Yeah, that Gochi can scream his tiny little self out!!! He DOES have the best screams! And the band does sound even better live!! I've said that to other people a lot. I'm amazed at their talent and skill. I really love those boys. Gotoh is funny too! He always tells little stories and jokes in between playing songs. So awesome! I feel really blessed to have seen them play.
Lee Seung Ki is aaaaamazing in K2H! I officially love him! I kind of loved him in My Girlfriend is a Gumiho, but now it's full-blown love after this drama! haha! I hope you like it. You'll have to keep me posted on your progress!

Hmm, you know, I think I have to disagree with you. I think the main characters suffered enough tragedy and heartache throughout the drama. So much so that killing off one of the lead roles would have felt pointless. Think about it. If Jae Ha or Hang Ah died, the whole drama would have been kind of pointless. They already lost their brother, his wife, sister prarlyzed (and crazy), almost got separated A SH*T TON of times, AAANNDD lost Shi Kyung. It was enough. That drama needed a happy ending, BAD. lol! I was really hoping that there wouldn't be any ominous activity at the end of the drama-- like some shady Club M meeting or something. I'm glad everyone was truly OK.
Some dramas lose focus right at the end, but this one didn't. The point is that their strong will and love can overcome any struggle. If they had lost the battle, I would have felt like the drama was a waste of my time.

You know what's interesting about the actor that plays Eun Shi Kyung? I saw him in another drama called "What's Up?" that I ended up dropping after five eps or so. But he was NOT particularly attractive in that drama. He was kind of a creepy geek to me. But in K2H he's totally sexy and masculine and almost regal! It's amazing how much someone can change based on the role. The same is true for life! A man's character can really make the difference as far as his attractiveness. You may think that on the outside, you don't find them attractive, but if their personality is attractive, the outside changes, too.... It's kind of scary. haha!
And I finished Queen InHyun. Bah. That drama should have ended at episode 14. The last two episodes were WAAAAAY over the top for me. But I enjoyed it overall. *shrugs*

She's on Duty? I hadn't heard of that one. I've seen her in Kim Sam Soon and also Scent of a Woman--which was a good drama, but a real tear-jerker.
Yeah, totally go with Sam Soon. Whenever I see people on here that haven't watched it, I'm like, "WHAAAAT???? How have you been watching other dramas but not seen Sam Soon!?" I'm like confused about it. haha! I just see it as one of those staple dramas. A drama that changed the game, you know? Like Coffee Prince. It won so many awards and was so popular. Even if you watch it and hate it, you still have to see it because it was such a big hit in Korea when it aired. It had a pretty significant impact on the drama industry and how other dramas following it were made. It also put the actors in it on the map. :)
Er, and that's my Kim Sam Soon spiel. Hope you enjoyed that. *slightly embarrassed* haha!

Finished K2H and QueenIHM! I was a busy drama bee this weekend.
Yeeeaaaah, QIHM is NOT going to make it into my top five.... or 10 for that matter. We can talk more about why when you finish it. I enjoyed it overall, but.... nah.
K2H was FANTASTIC! Such a well-written and superbly acted drama! I'm really impressed with how good it was. It made me add Lee Seung Ki to my favorite actors list! haha! He's two for two because I loved him in My Girlfriend is a Gumiho as well!

Hey there! I just read your comment on Queen InHyun about how it seemed like it would end on episode 14, and I just had to say that I agree completely. I was surprised that there were not one, but TWO episodes left. Seeing that, I felt leery because I was satisfied with the drama up to that point.
And now that I've watched those two episodes, I *really* wish it had ended at episode 14, because those two episodes changed my overall opinion of the drama. They were just waaaaay over the top. Ah well. :)
I really loved this drama and I'm also very much pleased with the ending, but there's one thing that does bother…
This. And also, how did his hair not grow over the course of a year??? He still had the same haircut!
Yeah, I liked this drama a lot, but I downgraded my original rating of it from 9 to 7. The roller-coaster ride got too dramatic for me with the high highs and the really low lows. I did love the lead characters and their overall chemistry though!! So lovely. *swoon swoon* Also, most open-mouth kisses in a drama, ever!!! hahaha!

You know, I was thinking along the same lines as you, that maybe they wouldn't kill him off because the princess needs him. But in retrospect, her co-dependence on him was just another one of her problems. So it really does make sense that he had to be removed from the picture. I hate it, but it IS tragically beautiful that his spirit will live on in her, as well as the impact he had on her during such a difficult time in her life. Le sigh.
I went back and watched an earlier episode when Jae Ha was still being an idiot. lol! It almost seems like two different dramas that seamlessly transition into each other! Those episodes before Jae Kang dies and the ones after really feel like totally different dramas! It's bananas! When Jae Kang died though, I knew things were about to change majorly. I'm glad they did though. I was getting tired of the selfish playboy antics.

And the thing about Eun Shi Kyung... I don't know. I was really sad when it happened, but I saw it coming. So maybe that softened the blow for me.
As soon as Jae Ha decided to let him go, I thought, "Hmm, he's not going to make it through this." He was just the perfect final sacrifice for the plot line. I would have been more surprised if he'd lived, honestly. The way his character was designed, I just knew he'd die at some point. The really righteous, strong-pillar supporting characters always bite the bullet in dramas like this. :(

YES YES!!!! So about me yelling at my computer (Jae Ha and Hang Ah at the Chinese prison)?? THAT.
First of all, when he was standing outside and the Chinese prison guard was all, "do you want to come in and sit down?" I was like "Heck no! You stay your butt right there!" And I loved that he declined with complete distrust. "Good job Jae Ha. *nods approvingly"
But AS SOON as she yelled out his name, I'm like, "Sh*t YOU GOTTA GO IN THERE! GO GET HER NOW!!" And he takes off running without another thought!! LOVED IT!!
AND THEN, when she got shot! I started SCREAMING bloody murder dude! haha!! "NOOOOO! I CAN'T TAKE THIS!! IF SHE DIES I'M DONE! I SWEAR I WILL NOT FINISH THIS DRAMA!!!" LOL! Literally screaming at the top of my lungs. Talk about too emotionally involved. But then they showed her ankle and I did a 180, "Oh, we're good! Just the ankle!! *relaxes back in chair*" hahaha!!

I finished K2H!!! Wow. What a fantastic drama!
I've been sitting here thinking and I honestly can't say anything bad about it! Not one thing! I think it's super well written, and I love the growth of the lead characters as the series progresses. Especially Lee Jae Ha, of course. Even the side characters stories are interesting. I could watch an entire drama of the princess and Si Kyung all on their own (the free-spirited rock-star princess meets the stiff, "play by the rules" royal guard!! LOVE IT!) But I didn't feel as if their story line distracted from the main plot at all. It greatly enhanced it.
I didn't like the John Mayer character and his magic tricks at first (LAME). But even with that, I respect that he was a different take on the traditional "bad guy" role.
You know a drama is good when you're emotionally involved enough to scream at your computer. haha!! That was me. :)

No problemo! And yes, Kim Sam Soon is probably my favorite drama (next to Coffee Prince). I think it's a really smart drama that's exceptionally well written. There's a healthy balance of wanting to laugh, cry, getting angry and also swooning. haha! Obviously, the one character that makes the drama great is Kim Sun Ah. She doesn't take anyone's sh*t and it makes you love her. You should give it a try!
