Will always remember her fondly as the Taiwanese counterpart of Geum Jandi (I saw Boys over Flowers Korean version first, followed by Japanese and Taiwanese). This is so sudden, and too soon, given she was just 48. May she rest in peace and her loved ones find strength to overcome this loss.
It is mentioned that "Li Zan feels guilty and blames himself for the death of his friend who sacrificed his life…
Noooooooo - I mean I have been complaining how some scenes in this drama are not realistic, in order to make the romance bloom. I have a love/hate relationship with those scenes.
So the only thing they should not be realistic about are the main cast members, their endings and of course take a detour from the novel ending T_T
My heart will break if at the end of 38 eps we are given an ending same as the novel, inducing a slump like no other for sure.
here's hoping that in spite of the lows they'll face going forward, they will overcome it and live happily ever after - and all should be alive. T_T

I really hope they change this in drama. I will cry and break if this happens. 38 episodes and this ending is not something my brain and heart can take. T_T
he's always been since his City Hunter days. But so glad that more and more people are getting under his charm…
Oh do watch all his past shows - I have been watching them in order since City Hunter - and you'll see again why he's so good and should have been a main cast way before.
But better late than never - so good to see him in Love Scout- and creating all the right buzz and waves! ππΌππΌππΌ
Oh I am also looking forward to "The Art of Sarah" - the plot synopsis is something I love, plus along with him as the ML it also has one of my favorite actresses - my Queen: Shin Hye Sun.
In fact - Shin Hye Sun was another underrated actress - who was either in Support roles or in dramas that were underrated. Mr Queen catapaulted her to a recognition from which there is so going back - and am so so glad that everyone realised her talent and gives her so much love!
It always makes you feel good when an actor/actress breaks through the series of "always the support cast" and finally their talents are recognised by many - though you followed them from their initial days. Byeon Woo Seok is another such actor for me - and so incredibly proud of all their journeys. They deserve it - and we'll keep cheering them on as fans :)

I totally had the same thought. Like I City Hunter in my early drama days and I was mooning over Lee Min Ho. But he in his honest SML role broke through that bubble and I sat up and took notice.
Afterwards I was always happy to see him in "Are You Human" "Designated Survivor" "Stranger" etc but it was always a support role. He had all the good things - the looks, acting, charisma - it was a shame that he wasn't in a main lead earlier. 365 days is his main lead role - but am unsure if it was a popular drama in its time.
So glad that Love Scout is doing well and I wish he becomes a household name and gets more and more projects as a main cast member - cause am sure we just cannot get enough of this talented handsome man!
LOL Sadly I agree, I mean I love this dramas and binge watching it all day but I have to shut up my brain. ππ€£…
Just have to bear with it. Like you said even am grinning like a fool cause the actors are cute and the scene is overall fire . . . but then at what cause of being so far away from reality. But let's see maybe the second half will be more gritty, realistic as compared to now. Which is ironical but yeah - lets see :)
I think we've already established that this drama is non realistic and focuses on the romance. In order to enjoy…
That's a good perspective. I thought I was the only one who had to take a pause when the WTF moments happened. I did put it aside because I am relatively new C-dramas as compared to K/J Dramas & movies. Which is why I thought that maybe am reading too much into it and it might be just a normal phenomenon for regular C-drama viewers. But I guess - going by your comment that is not the case.
Like I literally had to pause, get up and walk around when Ep 8-9 bomb scene aftermath scene happened and the main leads are literally talking for 15 minutes in a place where bullets and bombs were just exploding. I mean - I loved the deep talks and how it is actually bringing them closer - but it could have very well been done, had they taken shelter - maybe she could have been by his bedside as his wounds got treated and had this heart-to-heart chat.
Really perplexed - but onwards we go into this drama. Love it, but these scenes make me cringe a bit LOL and therefore am sure it will creep in my overall experience of the show.

This is so informative - thank you so much for sharing all this. I did not know the background details...I mentioned somewhere in one of my comments I landed on this drama cause of CZY. I have had a hard time completing any of his dramas cause of the plot, but really really wanted to. Here I am and let's see how it goes.
Thanks for sharing the links too - I'll be sure to check them out :)
Please, feel free to leave your thoughts more often! I really enjoy reading comments that actually engage with…
Haha, I agree - while I am surprised to see her acting way too lovestruck/crushing hard on the ML and literally forgetting things that she's supposed to be doing... I remind myself that there is a saying "Love makes you do strange things" and then this is dramaland, so I guess have to overlook it. Its cute - so pass :)
It is mentioned that "Li Zan feels guilty and blames himself for the death of his friend who sacrificed his life…
oh okay - I really like Jiang Lin's character. And given how they are stressing with Li Zan calling out that he knows Capt Jiang has got his back, and how he's overall close to him. Plus the fact that he has a younger cousin brother waiting for him, and seems like the only family he has - it is all making me fret that he could be THAT friend who will have an untimely demise in the bombing mentioned in synopsis.
I hope it is not the case - and rather lets say he was too late to diffuse a bomb in a particular area. While that would be sad to but a little less than any main cast member's death so early in the show :(
Those who have read the novel, can you please answer a question. Possible spoiler, hence adding it as first comment,…
It is mentioned that "Li Zan feels guilty and blames himself for the death of his friend who sacrificed his life to save him in the bombing attack" - Is Jiang Lin that friend?
Those who have read the novel, can you please answer a question. Possible spoiler, hence adding it as first comment, under spoiler tag. Asking this so that I can better prepare myself, as I quite like this character.
he's always been since his City Hunter days. But so glad that more and more people are getting under his charm thanks to this drama, and his rom-com lead role <3
ok so i am actually liking this show but, that scene in the second episode when her coworker introduced azan as…
keep watching - it is a drama full of such contradictions that will make your heart flutter but your mind question a lot. I was there too and have been commenting here left right center - just to let it all out.
as for your question - my take on it: they both fell in love at first sight, but too awkward to confess, and plus this is a slow-burn romance which means they want to slowly burn the audience who will be agonising over the wait till these two can be officially together π π€£
So she though that she was fated to be with him, and was being delulu when she met him in that office and parking lot. but when he is introduced as her supervisor's BF she thinks she has no chance and hence tears up. Ridiculous, in real life, cause who would do that after 1-2 meetings but then this is drama.
The guy also likes her and this is a mild spoiler - but keep watching and you'll know that he is not the boyfriend (I think its shared in Ep 5). And since he also likes Song Ran, the way he sees her leave and then be all teary eyed - makes his heart yearn, feel guilt - etc all the typical sensitive ML drama works.
This will be a constant struggle - but somehow this drama is addicting. I mean I am at Ep 8, in spite of having questions just like you - so... Keep on watching :D

haha - absolutely, I am like take cover you lovestruck fools, but at the same time I am enjoying it with a silly grin thats so large to split my face in too - cause its cute at the same time π π€£

Especially the lower half of her face when she speaks :)
