Because our male lead is the best, no offense to LJY, but after watching CWS on our beloved summer, he became…
Yes, though I didn't mean that LJY be made the main lead here. I meant in general, being stuck in support and SML roles and which is why I hope to see him in more leading roles.
While I have seen CWS in movies only till date - I think all are aware of how good he is. So am excited for this new project and my first drama of his.
The terms idiot, imbecile, moron, and their derivatives were formerly used as technical descriptors in medical, educational, and regulatory contexts. These uses were broadly rejected by the close of the 20th century and are now considered offensive.
But anyways - I got my answer that you used it with intention and are fully aware of the meaning and its offensive nature.
A "little" extreme? Korea has driven dozens of celebrities to suicide over the last 25 years, like no other country…
You claim that you use words carefully, as they have an impact. So I want to ask did you intentionally/purposely use an offensive word when writing these comments?
A "little" extreme? Korea has driven dozens of celebrities to suicide over the last 25 years, like no other country…
"I dissect words because words mean things. I try to choose my own with care" - do you? walk the talk cause given the way you're writing does not indicate so. There are better ways to disagree with someone without calling them derogatory terms.
Absolutely agree with your point - on how dramas are getting shorter. In fact, one of the major reasons for me…
Yes, if it is given beforehand it is definitely something you can avoid or delay untill all seasons are out.
But then there are times when series get cancelled, or there are some aspects that hint at seond season but you don't know (for ex: one of my fav dramas - Move to Heaven - it is complete, but then what was that ending)
I have seen him in student roles in Weak Class Hero and Twinkling Watermelon, therefore I was slightly taken aback and loving the refreshing new look he will have as the CEO. While I am just seeing it in pictures and reading about him being a CEO and it is a slight disconnect from how I have seen him previously but I know he'll pull it off given his talent is palapable as he showases a range of expressions/vibes in the previous dramas.
Also it has one of my favorite girl - the talented and beautiful actress: Moon Ga Young, so I know this would definitely be a fun watch - can't wait! ❤️
Great 10 episodes. Just watched the trailer and give Our Beloved Summer vibe (this time it's opposite). I am definitely…
Absolutely agree with your point - on how dramas are getting shorter. In fact, one of the major reasons for me to gravitate towards Asian dramas was the fact that they had one season, short episodes formula in comparison to western shows.
But then while I like how they are getting shorter - there are some exceptions. Sometimes OTT platforms play our heart/antiipation and give us short but multiple seasons, or give an open ending to keep a road open for future sequels. Personally it irks me a little bit cause it defeats the whole meaning and reason why I came to K-dramas in the first place.
Still, can't stop them - they also need to make moniesss
It has my favorite - Park Bo Young, so am going to watch it no matter what. I have not seen Our Beloved Summer, but see a lot of comments saying it is giving similar vibes - so that would be interesting, maybe this show will lead me to the other.
One thing tho - why is my man, Lee Jun Young, as a SML? Why oh Why? 😂 This guy needs more main roles - but still am always happy to see him, in whatever shape/form/role - so excited for this drama!
Still halfway through - but wanted to commend how nicely the creators have added in time stamps to differentiate the timeline as well as the cinematorgraphy: the different timelines have different tones, warm and cold as well.
This drama had been in my watchlist for very very long, and I have always also come across your review and upvoted it cause it was short and covered all points without giving anything away.
I really loved how you mentioned it is a reminder of World of Married + Signal, which are 2 of my favorite shows. In fact this kind of acted like a hint + the mention of "gaslighting" under themes in the MDL detail page. So as soon as the wife "apparently" jumped from the bridge and yet no one's body was found - I immediately knew that the wife is definitely one of the manipulators and Da Bin and she are alive. Poor Sung Rok's character!
I'm still watching it (on Ep 8) but thought to comment here and commend your review. Not sure if you'll read it cause it has been quite long since your posted your review.

No - cause I know you are very eager to jump and give clarification about everything yet fail to understand how your own words can impact other users on MDL. Was highlighting that but as before, you choose to see only what you like :)
I'm thinking about to watch this drama, but I'm not sure yet.Can someone please let me know, what this drama is…
This had been on my list for very long, and I am currently watching it. What prompted me to watch was my own interest for these themes of time-travel/mystery thriller/gaslighting etc + a short to the point review where it mentioned the drama being a mix of two of my fav dramas, World of the Married + Signal (Read here: https://kisskh.at/profile/adamrahimi02/review/110035)
Therefore if you like such themes, or have seen the other dramas - you can definitely give it a try. While I am still mid-way in the show: the acting, suspense, pace and story is really great! Hope it helps :)
this had been on my watchlist for too long, finally picked this up in 2025. Still on Ep 8, though had understood way before what a manipulative B* the wife was. I hope Seo Do Gyun also realises it or is betrayed/killed by her in the end.
While this is in a fictional world - unfortunately there are such manipulative people in real life too, which is possibly making me more furious about Kang Hyun Chae + her great acting!
A "little" extreme? Korea has driven dozens of celebrities to suicide over the last 25 years, like no other country…
my little extreme was for public in general, no country - and then i said epecially in Korea. And because I have not followed all the news or research on this hence I did not use only the word "extreme"
But yes, rather than dissecting the words: both of us mean the same in terms of harsh reaction celebs face in face of scandals
true - and while I also wish for them to all alive and happy in the end, seems like Ji Seok might follow the "you dig two graves when on a path of revenge"
But yes, lets see how it all pans out - I am a sucker for happy endings so hoping all the evil characters get a taste of their medicine and the rest live happily ever after

Like you said "words mean things" - I hope you know it did so in your comment here: https://kisskh.at/article/yoo-ah-in-sentenced-to-1-year-in-prison-taken-into-custody#comment-18689143
Glad you have your clarification on this one.
