Hey - yes, while WTPR was not for me as much as it was for others, like yourself - will definitely finish it. Cause while it did not match the expectations I had - it is certainly not a bad drama by any means. Looking forward to see today's episode and the finale.

Hey @myelifnotes - I think you missed reading the line I wrote where I said I love all three of them as actors and would love if anyone wins. It was not my intention not have I said that any one actor is more talented than the other. In fact all the nominees and even the ones not nominated are great in their field and art which is why they are out there.

For awards - it is an observation - often the movie/series that are more popular tends to win more awards as compared to movies/series that might be great but have not enjoyed popularity as the former. Ofc I am not the deciding party here - but just shared what usually has been observed globally not just MBC/K-dramas.

At any point - award winners always make some happy and some sad. But I am not like that - like I mentioned I am happy if any of these actors win - I am not getting anything anyway :)

Thanks Zoe - looks like you might have read my comments elsewhere for the show. While you have rightly captured that I did not like the romance and was in for the mystery - your comment missed out the fact that while many may like the show, there are others like me who may not like it as much as you. And both are valid - and free to comment/post about their views cause not everyone can have the same opinion.

Also - totally up to a person whether they want to continue a show or drop it, whether they are liking/disliking it. How does it affect anyone else but them?

If everyone had singular thoughts and agreed with singular opinion - I think that would defeat the purpose of platforms like MDL which was made for healthy discussions.

Can only imagine how good he will be as he grows up!

Really hoping she takes on more projects - she is one of those rare actresses who are not just a pretty face but talented and can portray a lot of emotions.

I guess so - and hence so happy that she is back!

This is my first daily drama - and 20 episodes later am loving it so far.
Hoping the pace and story continues to be like this till the end ✨

Also - love Han Groo, she is so pretty! 💖 and what an amazing actress. I mentioned it in another comment but I had only seen her before in Marriage Not Dating - where I loved her too. I felt it was a very underrated drama and wanted to see her in more projects. Somehow I think she did not have many projects and the ones she did I happened to miss. Which is why I feel so great to see her in this show - doing so well.

Special Mention: Eun Chong is sooooo cute! The child actor is so mature in doing the show so well.

This actually happened to the first drama of PMY that I finished and liked. Shocking I know, given she is an experienced and popular actress, but somehow even her popular dramas I gave up towards the end (eg What's Wrong with Secretary Kim, Healer etc.) and are on hold.

I understand - not sure but then probably having read the novel gave you some context and therefore the lines you mentioned made you corelate novel/drama romance.

For me I guess I was lost and it did not stitch well for me. I saw it as a taunt rather than a thirst trap. Again, like you said solely based on interpretation - for me it seemed unrelated and out of the blue, and therefore the romance/chemistry seems forced to me - whereas how to you it looks great and close to the novel that you read. Two sides of the same coin, eh? :)

Let's see - I am already in it so will finish for sure!

Hey Kalisia - Thanks for sharing, and this explains a lot!

I have not read the novel, but from a few MDLers and I think a discussion topic where the translated novel chapters are posted - I got to understand in bits and pieces that the romance evolves slowly but steadily/spicily in the novel. I am assuming that was not possible given the short format of the show - and so while many enjoyed it, for me it was very abrupt and a little off given the 3 years of indifference.

While I understand the ML's catalyst being the kidnapping, as a woman I am still unable to comprehend why the FL could give in so easily. Maybe I am reading too much into it 😂 but if a crush/man ignored me for 3 years and then was declaring his love for me IRL I would take 100 steps away from him and find him sus - even if he looked like YYS! But then I get it that it is dramaland and things like that could happen but still somewhere it does not sit well with me.

So while I still continue to watch the drama - for me it is not about the romance but rather I want to see the family drama and confrontations now.

Yes, they did answer the mystery and given it was not the primary theme which I have come to understand over the course of 9 eps - it still feels a little underwhelming. But that's okay - it is again not a bad drama, just did not match my expectations. Which is fine - happens in dramaland all the time :)

It is only because we have a platform like MDL and lovely users like you and others - I like to comment and engage in a discussion, doesn't matter if it is someone agreeing or disagreeing with what I share. As long as everyone is respectful and not blindly arguing/justifying. And just like how you shared what makes you love this drama - it always good to hear things from different perspectives. At least I do not mind it and rather enjoy such conversations!

Haha - well even if anyone hates a drama that I love, how does it matter?
It is not going to change my love for it. But yeah totally up to everyone when/how to engage :)

I have been watching dramas since 2006 so not sure about the new part LOL. But given your comments I can understand you are LOVING this drama - and that's great and I respect your views, and thanks for sharing why you are loving it!

I just hope you can understand that some of us are not enjoying it as much as you are - and that's okay too :) We don't hate it - but we don't love it either cause of many reasons which maybe be loved by others.

True - I liked the goofy elevator scene (more when he is practicing on his own). Anything else - sadly, not so much. I myself am weirded out by it - given I know what amazing actors both are and I am enjoying whatever they are doing even in this drama. But somehow the romance feels forced like it did not grow organically but was rather thrust on my face as an audience, with some good music and cinematography.

They are both great actors and so can pull it off - no questions on that but the linearity and logic of it or rather lack of it is making me not get into it . . . . . :(

I am a little divided - I was waiting for Light Shop and this drama to finish airing and then binge. While I know Light Shop has concluded and is the only season, now am unsure if I can handle the wait for this one :P

But thank you for sharing - I can see that it is a good story/drama - so definitely worth the binge.
