This!! It's funny how they love F4T so much they pretend something is there when it's not existent. One even tried pulling Gaeul/Yi Jung down saying it's terrible (mostly nitpicking, he helped her up on a horse, followed her onto the beach like?) when they had more depth and better development in there.
On a sidenote F4T has more runtime for eps than BOF.

LMAO this is nitpicking at the finest. There isn't an issue with any of these scenes, no negging, they have a full soulmate connection, far better development and the Kavin counterpart is more complex there.
Next, as if Kaning isn't textbook "not like other girls" ppl are literally praising her for being "rude" and "acting up". What you are saying applies to this version.
Y'all really love F4T. You refuse to see the issue and you look for issues in a highly praised 2nd couple pretty much everyone loves, bad (still has) immense popularity to make this versions non existent 2nd couple seem better.

You definitely haven't watched BOF or the Kavin cuts in years if you say he's more complex here. I would even go as far as to say he was more complex in Meteor Garden 2018 than here. I mean if you want to convince yourself because you love F4T you do you, but it's really not the case. The drama compared to BOF for example has more runtime too. This shouldn't be an excuse to neglect the other characters.

Depth is delving deeper into the character, his thoughts, motivation, background etc-. So far they haven't we know on the surface that he is a playboy, part of the F4, gives out advice and helps Kaning. Watching these KiBum parts on YT made me realise how little they did with him. Now will probably get the ADD scene and that's it for him.
What you are referring to seems character development for me. (You should find his and Gaeul's parts of YT once you do you realise the wasted potential).

I understand y'all love for F4T but you gotta be kidding whilst saying the other F3 are more fleshed out here (and you pro- points happen for the characters in every version). So far they only gave advice and helped the main couple. I suggest you to watch the korean counterpart of Kavin and then we talk.
As for MJ what you are saying happens every version, he always glues them together or fixes things (despite the lack of screentime which is here the case too). In Meteor Garden albeit they didn't deleve deeper into his character as well he at least had 20 eps of unrequited love and we saw his motivations, personal issues, emotions etc-. Here as every other version he just gives advice and helps the main couple.

Uhm "naivity" has nothing to do with the lack of screening? They are all strong girls and they deserve love too. Not really sure what you are trying to say here but I don't like the sound of it. Some of you really have issues with "cute", "feminine" and "polite" girls (they all talked back too so don't even start). Gaeul will always remain the superior version of her character. Kaning is great but she only exists to give adivce here and that's great? Her romance plot so far is terrible.

Yeah that's basically my issue I am guessing in 1 or 2 eps they gonna have the "i love you", scene for 2 mins then he mets her then it's over and that's it for him.

Great write but non of that is really depth. We know his family's business but otherwise? Not much. He's pretty much just there to give advice (which he does in every version) and leaves so far if you take that away, nothing remains. Not even his playboy persona. It doesn't feel as if that's even there.

In the BOF he was not just heartbroken because of his missed chance in love. No he has family issues, they delve into that, his father being the reason why he is the way he is. His brother "stealing" his first love, leaving him, the pressure of succeeding the family business and then not being capable due to an injury. I never realised but I think BOF really did him the best in all versions.
Lmao YT recommended me So Yi Jung (BOF) parts and I realised how much potential Kavin's role had. He was given so much depth there (not just the usual missing ex gf) he's just ... there (sorry no offence) and they can't give him the same depth in just 5 eps, It's a puty bc I always look forward to him.
