In his time with XLH he never did tell her how he felt about her. I think she understood but he never spoke them. When they kissed after the mortal realm, he asked her why she helped him and she was going to confess “because I like you” and he kissed hee before she said it fully but she was ready to say it first. Although he was going to propose to her, she is the one who beat him to it and proposed. He never did ask her or verbally say yes because his brother interrupted them. I have no doubt that XLH knew he loved her. But after how he treated her in Eps 30 and 31 and not having ever actually verbalized his love for her I think he felt a lot of regret and pain from that regret. It’s like never saying I love you to someone and them dying. So for him to pour his heart out and for her to actually hear him say it as Xiyun… it really broke my heart and was so bittersweet. That and also that she herself was trying to pretend to not know DFQC in order to save him from more pain. And the silent goodbye kiss when he learns it is her. That episode was all just so bittersweet. So I just love it.

Aside from the first 16 minutes, I think Ep 35 is one of my favorite episodes….. I was thinking about what he said on the bridge….

And her expression! Like she longed for him too, and her tears…

My favorite is the Ep 35 kiss. Like damn, no words or nothing. He came, kissed, she cried. He left.

Right? I don’t think I’ve ever said “hey this C drama could use more episodes.” Never. Until this one. 😂 Now I’m like, just one more please!!

And yet… I wish for more 😂😂

Well it’s what he dreamed for so you can imagine that’s what he will do.

The drama is very different from the novel so based on the drama I think it would be consistent with their characters for them to just live happily by themselves.

That story line was not necessary I think and they didn’t really address it.

Maybe with a bigger budget it wouldn’t have been as tightly made with sharp execution. I wish the ending was a bit longer and Hellfire made its comeback once more but otherwise I thought the drama was perfect.

If this is what they could pull off on a budget imagine if they did have a bigger budget. But then again, I don’t know if the story would have been as tight with a larger budget. I think everything was perfect. Maybe just a bit longer for the ending 😊

I wouldn’t be shocked if they were to date, although I don’t think they are. If I got along that well with someone I’d date them. 😄 I think there is attraction because when you watch all their interviews and off screen interaction you do see attraction. I don’t think people need to be shy around each other to like each other I think it depends on the personality. But I read that DW already has a long term gf so probably not likely that they will date.

I don’t think he will return to be Moon Supreme. I think he will live in Arbiter Hall in Xilan with Orchid. Xilan clan has always been neutral and she wouldn’t want to be Moon Queen. And I’m pretty sure that based on his dream his ultimate goal is to live a happy married life with his wife and not be Moon Supreme.
