Well summarized @hoshitaiga. I agree, that's how I read CQ's feelings for YX and YWY too. I'm not too clear about YX's final words but I can take your interpretation on it.

Nothing confirmed. Only rumors. And so far, no original cast is coming back. So yeah, if there's a drama land miracle, then yes we can have a season 2 with the original cast. If not the original cast, then no one will watch it. I won't. Just doesn't make sense. How can I pretend someone else is Yuwen Yue when I've seen LGX playing him?

Yes. Exactly. That's my beef with the ending. It's just not finished. The director must be a complete amateur or is just not very good at story telling. And that's exactly how I felt about CQ. I could understand her behavior up until this very last episode, an then I was like, what? Her words and actions made no sense at all.

Could someone please post some of us international fans frustrations on the director and writer's Weibo account??? I feel like they should know!!

I can't believe they killed off Yue Qi. Who the hell is going to save YWY now? So I guess no one, and this IS really the ending.

I agree, based on today's episode I have to say she basically said she loved Yan Xun. If you say someone is the most important person in the world to you, that his dreams are yours, and that you don't care if he killed someone else who is a love rival, then I think you love that person, i.e., Yan Xun. Which is ironic and confusing because in the drama they built up all the romantic scenes with Yuwen Yue and never with Yan Xun. Whoever directed and edited this just didn't know how to do anything. Clearly.

Talk about poor use of the episodes. They WASTED so many episodes on some completely irrelevant BS (see below list of completely irrelevant Bull Shit that they never ever address again), and they literally tried to cram the finale into the last 12 minutes, and they looked like they were caught with their pants down at the end. Like, it just ended. What? Did they think they were being artistic or some crap with CQ getting her powers back in the water while in the beginning she lost it there? So what?? Who cares?? The point is that she get her powers back! And then you're supposed to continue the story!

I completely agree with @hoshitaiga, this episode would have been great IF it wasn't the finale. What the hell.

List of Completely Irrelevant Bull Shit that they could have cut out:

1) The whole half of the episode about YWY taking the 3rd Concubine out of Red Hills Court and the backstory about his mother.

2) The whole wooden bird pen pal thing - absolutely added NOTHING to the story - UNLESS, the Liang Princess rescues Yuwen Yue and Yue Qi in the currently non-existent Season 2.

3) Nearly every Scene with Chun'er obsession with Yan Xun - we got the point after Episode 2.

4) All of Chun'er's scenes in the last few episodes.

5) At least 10 of the episodes dealing with Yan Xun's plot to escape Chang'an - again, we got it after the 1st episode. It wasn't a complicated story line for them to have kept hitting us over the head with it. Yeah, we got it. He wants to escape to Yanbei and him and Chu Qiao got close.

6) All those scenes with the Yanbei traitor adviser - the old one with a mustache, Completely useless - except the one where he betrays Duke of Yanbei - unless again, IF there is a Season 2.

SO many wasted air time. It's like they made this drama anticipating a Season 2 but they have NOTHING ready in terms of a Season 2. Based on all rumors, they don't even have the green light from the production company to do a Season 2, let alone have the original cast and crew back. Did they NOT plan that out in advance? How? If you plan to make a shit crap ending like this with an anticipation of a Season 2, then you should have your ducks lined up so you can go straight into a Season 2 filming with the same cast when Season 1 ends. That's what professionals do! Apparently, they're missing something here.

I just feel SO annoyed and angry at the Princess Agents team - minus the actors who I feel bad towards because they probably worked their asses off and then they ended up with this crap ending. The first 20 episodes were great, then it was sank sank sank... much like Yuwen Yue did today.

I didn't even need a happy ending per se, but just a complete ending! Just something that actually wraps up the plot lines. I didn't even imagine this ending, how could I have imagined something so shitty?

Actually, nothing is confirmed about the cast, or even whether there will be a Season 2. I read that LGX posted on his Weibo, "goodbye or is it see you later?" So, there is still a tiny tiny tiny hope for the original cast. Hopefully the cast will see what a bullshit ending this is and come back to try to fix it, as a matter of professional integrity and respect for the fans.

I actually think that's exactly what I got from this episode. I felt like it was contradictory. All throughout the drama they built the scenes with YWY and CQ so it appears they have feelings for each other, but then in the end she basically tells YX that he was the most important person in the world to her, and that she doesn't care if YX kills YWY as long as he does it bravely without using her and manipulating his feelings for her. So I agree that when CQ cried oh so much, it was a bit of a mixed feeling for me about, WTH, you just said you wouldn't care if YX killed YWY. Why you crying so much?

He said "zai jian" or "yong bie?" Both mean "goodbye" but "zai jian" could literally mean see you again, while "yong bie" literally mean forever farewell. Anyway, depending on how you read it I guess there is SOME hope that LGX may consider doing a Season 2, presumably with ZLY. I hope enough of the Chinese fans are as mad as us about the ending that they cause a riot on Weibo forcing the cast and crew to make a Season 2, pronto!

I actually got the opposite. She basically told Yan Xun that she loves him and he is the most important person in the world to her. But now, she's going to YWY because he's too suspicious. Otherwise, she would have loved him and stayed with him. That's what I got from the ending. WTF show.

I just signed. Also, whoever is on Weibo, maybe they can write on LGX and ZLY's sites to come back to do Season 2 bc the ending to this one is such Bullshit, and they wouldn't want a BS drama on their filmography do they?

No. It's all just rumors. There is no confirmation of a season 2. And certainly none with the original cast. So, as far as drama world is concerned as of today - THIS IS THE END.
