Honda Kyoya is on my radar since Animals and I watched his BL dramas which were quite bold so I couldn't believe his innocence when it comes to this period drama young male who had zero intimate experience. I think he is so handsome and can easily play lead crush in romantic series but somehow whenever he smiles his sincerety doesn't reach his eyes. His smile looks fake but his overall acting doesn't disturb like Yoshine Kyoko. She overacts, I can't find her cute at all. She reminds me of Mitsuki Takahata. I guess Japanese producers love this kind of fake innocent over reacting woman. Anyway I love 2nd couple more. They needed more screen time. The story itself needed more details and complication. It was boring but regardless there were beautiful moments. I wish they portrait this period with more reality not brutally honest but we needed some other grounded characters and their deepness or at least some plot twist. İs it a good experience? Yes. Do I have any memory of any scene? No. Will I watch again? No.

That's why I watched it, I also gave a chance to watch because of actors and I am also a dreamer. I am not against age gap. I am not even against their love story in this movie. I only wanted mature guy to be more responsible of his actions. But Japan has this issue of normalizing this as long as the guy is handsome. Don't you know in Japan woman lacks of many rights? For instance woman earn less money than man even though they work in the same job. They sexualize woman body, whenever a woman shows a little bit of skin they are asking like why did you wear like this, because are you after for someone? So I wrote these words from a larger perspective. One year is not that important but I want them to protect and respect woman. I want them to normalize respected relationships. It would be boring maybe like you said but it will help society to think in healthy way. But in real life there are relationships like this and even worse than this. We all know that Japan has the biggest underage girl and children p*rn industry. It make me sick.

You don't know but in my country for a long time and even now young girls aged between 13-17 forced to marry old guys. I am not talking about a 30 yo guy it can be 60 yo grandfathers. They don't send these girls to school, they make them their wives. They don't have only one wife but many. Because of this I hate to see this kind of works. So do I have to take permission from you to hate this? Yes, I am boring, yes, I will defend justice and humanity. There is no way for me to defend or romantize this, but you are free. You can like whatever you watch and I can critize whatever I watch.
Chinese dramas have more episodes that's why romance is very slow burn. But I like the idea of protective and thoughtful male leads in Chinese dramas, I like how they try to make woman comfortable, conscious about their surroundings like cold environment or cold drinks. They're absolute green flags. They showed us how to care for woman without being clingy. I like it more when main couple started dating. Especially when female lead tried to make him feel at ease when they sleep in the same bed for the first time. They had a deep level of understanding each other. This is a healthy kind of romance we all should seek. Beautiful. 👏
High school cliche romance gone wrong. Not only story is cringe but female lead's acting was very bad. I could able to tolerate other actors but not her. She was on another level. I couldn't stand her cutesy character. I wanted her to be with second male by the way. Main lead was a red flag. Yellow filters used up too much. It aged quite bad like it's coming from 2007 not 2017.
And it has second season... But I'll watch because I want to know if their actings get better after 2 years.
It's a big mystery for me how Tabe Mikako is a popular actress... I found her acting dull and boring and insincere. Story is kind of wattpad fanfiction. lol. This scenario could have been entertaining depending on the situation but they ended up in a friends-with-benefits kind of situation.
