Title Rak Rae
A very good story , there's a lot of reality and very little typical lakorn craziness : All a plus! .... But not exciting, a bit dull ..... It needed more intense, angsty, romantic scenes of the MC together (especially during the touristy sight-seeing)!!!

Not a very well done typical slap/kiss ... Kawee 's character is not complex, and no reason for him to be so hateful except that he's spoiled and it's a lakorn!

This is far from being the outstanding drama that the 2008 version is, especially in terms of complex characters w/ reasonable motivation.

KIND OF SPOILER AHEAD...FYI-- the plot got so truly ridiculous that it became a game to start counting instead…
LMAO, u actually counted, I tried and lost count XD ...
Still, for Mik &Stef, for their characters and the progression of their romance, they are worth watching..
Despite the plot getting repetitive, I came back to increase my rating!

Yes, Too Late to Say I Love You is very good if you want a passionate romance w/ war as the background, like Koo Gum .... Battle of Changsha is more like a family & war drama.

I recommend watching the 1993 drama first, then also watching the 2003 , they complete one another and add a deeper meaning when watched as a whole, rather than taken individually.

There are all sorts of taboo relationships in these dramas, and I like how the writer is exploring each and diving into the Dark, Selfish and Fragile nature of man. The 1993 is darker and I cared about its characters more, but 2003 sequel seems to better explore the themes I mentioned and the script is written better so that it has layers , and is better ... the 2003 shows how the writer has matured .

I just checked your list and u don't seem to like anything w/ too much drama, EoE may be too heavy for your taste.

That is exactly what's it's about: brotherhood is #1 .. w/ revenge at its core, and the hero becomes a gangster... best story of brothers.
I warned b/c it is heavy and a melo ... 56 episodes, it was extended by 4 or 6 episodes due to the high ratings!
There is a glitch 2/3 of the way due to behind-the-scenes drama , but it doesn't hinder the enjoyment, kept the intrigue all along.

It depends on your taste. I see it as one of the best written K-dramas, the story-telling feels like reading a novel w/ foreshadowing, irony, symbolism, complex characters etc.. etc... and most especially the intricate relationships of all the characters to each other, they all come in threes ... I feel the writer took months to perfect it, like writing a novel.<3

The story/plot is very intriguing , to see the psychological impact on the 3 brothers as the truth unfolds about the baby-switching ....
However, it is a family Melodrama, w/ political history of SK in the background, so their's a lot of intense emotions, tragedy, heart-breaks etc..
It also has one of most indelible Bromance/brotherhood , revenge, action, various romance types, gangsters and one of the most memorable heroic heroes w/ the biggest loving heart.
Oh, and most female characters are smart, resilient and powerful in their own way.

So it depends on whether these things interest you. It can also be taken on a surface level, the story of two brothers and a most loyal unwavering deep true-love type of romance.

I obviously have a lot to say about EoE, XD

Even when playing second lead or supporting, he manages to give his characters gravitas , to bring them to life and make them feel like one of the leads.

He captured me in one of his very early roles in East of Eden. ... He played a supporting role to the two other and the then better known male leads, but he stole the show w/ his portrayal of the very conflicted third brother, Myeong-Hun. His subtle and very natural acting method expressed lots of sensitivity and hidden pain that garnered sympathy for a character that easily could have been hated.
DreamingKoreanBallad Mar 9, 2018
A very natural actor. He immerses himself in every role and disappears to bring out the character as real. Thanx for choosing these veteran actors, who often play supporting roles, but are such huge part of making a drama successful.

Objectively Meteor Garden is very good, especially w/ writing & directing .... the characters are very-well developed, they seem like real people .... and the director made sure to explain their motivation w/ little scenes that revealed a lot .... the story is very well put together and made sense ... no filler scenes, if a scene did not further the plot, it at least gave insight into the personalities or conflict ..... and that F4 friendship is real, a truly great bromance!

This 1st drama version of HYD is much better executed than the rest , not at all 2-dimensional or cartoonish. .. So it took the manga to another level.

Obvisouly you did not see him in Mafia luerd Krating or what it was called. He look ancient and kinda creepy.…
Ken dropped out of MLM: Krating to take care of his ailing father for a year. It must have taken a huge emotional tole on him. He lost weight and looked gaunt.
The producers had chosen another lead, but after Ken's father's death, Ken wanted to stay busy and asked to return to the production. ... ofc they were very happy to have him back.

Now he has put back on weight (and muscle) - he looks very healthy and very good ;) ... although, he did sometimes have dark circles under his eyes - hey, he's forty, I'm sure he needs his sleep.

Yeah, most lakorns have that unnecessary stubbornness at the end, but the rest of the lakorn is refreshingly lacking in the typical craziness or filler scenes. There is a palpable love and genuine angst (for those who like it, me included.)

I recommend watching the 1993 drama first.
I am glad I did that, this is set in the same school 10 years later; one character is in both and has since evolved ... The two dramas complete one another and add a deeper meaning when watched as a whole.

It is one of the better lakorns and one of the better slap/kiss ... he treats her harshly but not the typical abuse seen in slap/kiss lakorns.
