I think we have collectively hit the nail on the head with this.
What DBK lacks is sexual tension between the characters. And I don't think its because Tay lacks the sexual ebullience but because either: a) New doesn't know how to act or b) the director is not pushing his actors hard enough or c) the script just sucks.
Maybe its all of the above... IDK...
SunMork has more sexual tension than PeteKao. I guess I am convincing myself more and more that its not the script but New. He may be the problem! :(
You mean South Korea because other asian countries are not like that.

I watched the scene (I think) and I stand by what I said. Two guys having sex does not make a scene hot.
What I liked about the TT scene is that there is a lot of sexual tension and the feeling that Tharn desires Type. IDK
Fake sex scenes usually bother me a lot. I got a lot of those in Queer as Folk and I didn't always thought they were well done... I rather see the prelude/aftermath like the ice scene in TT. The problem with sex scene for me is that as a gay man, I can't get over the fact that I know its fake. I don't know if it happens to you but that's how I feel!
I would say however, its great to see it in an asian show so I am very happy to see that they dare to go there! Maybe I will give the History series a try one of these days!!

have to tell you a story... this made me miss LS so much I went ahead and watched the last 3 episodes of S1 last night. The tender moments between those two in LS S1 makes DBK's one romantic moment seem petty

You and I have very different taste in men but I will admit that I am on the minority because even in the TharnType board I am one of the few who finds Gulf very very attractive. I mean, I can't take my eyes off him when he is on screen.
But that's ok, we all like different things. Otherwise, this world would be a pretty boring place.
BTW I have reflected on this and I think what I like about him is the intensity in his eyes

Havent watched it but I will give it a shot. The korean version left a bad taste in my mouth so I refuse to watch anything else other than the Japanese one lol

So far the only show that only had very few MINOR issues was He's Coming To Me.
