Ok people, what do you think it will happen in tomorrow's episode?!?! Write your thoughts...https://twitter.com/TharntypeS/status/1193468339647123456?s=20
I really don't want to know! I want to be surprised!
I don't know what straight asians shows you've been whatching, but this series shows much more than the regular…
I too dream of going to Thailand. It is a beautiful country! I have been trying to convince the husband that we should go there. (He is not too interested in traveling abroad).
Interestingly, he has a certain connection to that area of the world. You see, he is ethnically Hmong, a minority group in Southeast Asia who has a very strong presence in an area of Thailand known as Chiang Mai (also in Chiang Rai?). Anyway, his family members, many of who were either born in Thailand or have been there, are always like "Oh you should go there..." and I am like "Yeah, we should go!" but bah, he is half curious about it but not as much as I am to go to Thailand.
Its weird too because now I know way more Thai than Hmong and I feel like I should know a little bit of Hmong!
Anyway, you should go! You have a friend there? I would totally go... (even if its an ex, who cares? :) )
I will make it there one day... And bonus if I get to go for a fan meet. (I will be the only latino male screaming with all the Thai girls LOL)
And the missionary position as Gulf tried to console Mew. Like dammmmmmn!
This is a good question. And you are partially correct. I don't think they make a lot out of the roles they play. However, a lot of these actors become "influencers". When you follow them on instagram you will notice that they advertise all kinds of things. They get paid for it.
I would say that on average, most Thai BL actors have upwards of 100k followers at least, with many of them having close to 1M followers. Companies pay them tons of money for that. Plus, as celebrities they also get gifts from their fans.
It could also be part of their contract with GMM-TV that they have to do public appearances in a certain way (e.g. holding hands, etc.). IDK, I am not privy to their contracts but I imagine this is how that works.
If you don't think these kids have money, look at their instagrams. I see them traveling (for leisure) to Japan, China and Europe quiet often. They have expensive clothing, watches, etc. I am not saying they are millionaires but they live comfotably thanks, in part, to the fanservice they do!

I wish I had the money to produce LS3. I love how ground-breaking LS1 was and to some degree, many would argue that LS2 was also groundbreaking (first fanservice in Thai BL, first multiple BL couples). I would love to see LS3 being ground breaking and what better way than to have the first GL in a mainstream show in Thailand :)
(I also would like to see Noh and Phun dealing with the fact that they are gay and attracted to other man even when I know they will end up together. Just having Noh say "I am gay" would be a huge deal. TharnType has done that but I think it would be more significant if we see it in a franchise like LS. And it would be great if they have flashbacks that allow us to see the cut scenes from season 1 and 2 that never made it on air).
Oh, I digress. I thought we were talking about DBK? :)
And the missionary position as Gulf tried to console Mew. Like dammmmmmn!
I understand where you are coming from, and without this degenerating into a long back and forth that this board does not need, I would ask you to consider that these actors are not that innocent, they play into this because they make money out of it. Also, we as international fans don't have much say in terms of what happens with this fan service. It seems to be something that is expected and accepted in some Asian countries, including Thailand.
I rarely watch this stuff and if I do, I just look at it light heartedly. I do think you have the right attitude about the fanservice but I think you are on the other extreme of things, protecting the actors or pretending the actors are all innocent and victims... They are part of the scheme! They make $$$$ from it!
Lovesick , don't know if yo'll like that serie, it is very different from this oneYou should watch Sotus that…
Love Sick does not have a love/hate or tsundere type relationships but I think if you like BL you should give it a shot because its literally the mother of all Thai BL.
He's coming to me is beautiful. You should watch it. I don't know what else to say, I really liked it and I hope you do too. It is about a boy who dies and comes back as a ghost and falls in love with a kid who can see him. I cried so many times, its just a really cathartic experience and the show has a positive message. You can see my opinion on the review page in mydramalist (I am one of the last reviewers).
Wow @J100, you are mean... I am married and I have been with my husband now for 12 years and we are very happy.…
First of all, technically speaking once you are past a certain point in the relationship the likelihood of separation goes down, not up. Most research pins that around 6 years but I have heard other numbers so I am not sure.
As far as research on the stability of gay couples, results are mixed but I own experience is that the older the couple, the more stable up to a certain point.
This data is only valid for the US. Other countries may show different trends. The overall lesson here is that the gap is closing for sure and that as gay relationships become more normalized and the support network for couples widens, the stability should go up.
I think my main point is that long term gay relationships exist, and while you may not consider 12 years a long time, its enough for me to feel secure in my relationship. And as I said, I know several couples who have hit the 30+ anniversary so 40 is not impossible. Remember, the older we get, the less likely it is we will separate!
Well this happens always in BL/YAOI. Don't forget it is fiction written by straight women plus is a romance novel,…
Agreed and agreed. I respect your decision. I just wanted you to know that love could be on the corner for you. Never say never, I guess... :)
We thought about having kids and now we have decided that we probably won't for that same reason you just said. I do have friends who are gay who adopted and are very happy so as you said, to each his own!!!!

Oh I am sad that you think that! Love grows! You love a person so much more the longer you are with them! They become part of you and you become part of them. Its not that your life is meaningless without them but its like you enjoy less being alone than with that person!! :) I hope you find your true love!! :)
And yes, I am one of those romantics :P That's probably why my favorite BLs are He's Coming to Me and Love Sick. I am a sucker for romance.
After reading some of the comments, I would like to point some things that some people are kind of forgeting:…
I would like to know what the word for "casual lovers" is in Thai because when he said it, and the translation popped up, it sounded like one word. I wonder if there is something we are loosing by not knowing the story behind the term used!!
People here talking about Tharn die at age 60 and all those years (from 20?!) they together, so take it in proportions…
Wow @J100, you are mean... I am married and I have been with my husband now for 12 years and we are very happy. I can't see myself with anyone else... I have a friend who is also married and he has been with his husband for like 30 years or more!
Love is love. Gay or straight, we can all find true love if we are open to it.
'cause Thai BL and us BL lovers need representation, here goes my list.. All of these are from Love Sick, which is my favorite BL, even if its a bit dated now (its from 2014/2015!)
[Love Sick The Series: Season 1] Noh to Phun after he catches Phun looking at a girl: "I thought you would forget the front now that you have tried the back"
[Love Sick The Series: Season 2] Phun and Noh are alone in the locker room Noh: "What are you doing? Are you trying to force yourself [on me]?" --Phun is just trying to change in the locker room so this is all a misunderstanding but he is mischievous and is testing Noh so he says...-- Phun: "Why? Is the floor too hard?" Noh: "Yes." [Noh then realizes he slipped up] "NO! I am not letting you do THAT!"
[Love Sick The Series: Season 2. This is one of the last scenes of the show. ] Jeed: "Noh, are you gay?" Noh: "I call it love" [Slowly walks out with a smile on his face]

Lovesick is my favorite. Its really sweet and tender and innocent, even when they have sex quicker than they did here LOL
Did you watch He's Coming to Me? Its very good!
