Its like this is going to be aired on MCOT and not GMMTV, right? LOL It was very Love Sick or MIR....

There is something about these shows.... Is it the balance of comedy and romance? Is it the sincere acting? Or is it that I am that simple and the man are just gorgeous? LOL IDK I sometimes joke that Thai ppl export their best product in this shows: Their men. LMAO :P Southeast Asian man are just beautiful because they are so mixed!!!

Sorry, I hope it doesn't come off as demeaning in any way. I do love the shows and the culture is quiet interesting. And hey, Japanese and Chinese man are quiet attractive too, but these Thai men have something I can't quiet put in words... :P

I want to watch Kimi wa Petto.... I have heard good things about it!

I am going to give you 4 very different ones. #1 and #2 are probably where I would start...

1) Love and Fortune (Netflix): If you can get past the first two or three episodes you will be rewarded. I will warn you, this is about a 30 something women who falls in love with a 15 year old boy. She is creepy, childish and stupid and you will get VERY MAD at her but its so well done, its worth it!
2) Good Morning Call (Netflix): Season 1 is great. You will get second lead syndrome. Attractive cast. Manga adaptation that is done very well, you almost can see the manga drawings sometimes... Great soundtrack. I cried and I laughed. I loved it. The setup of this reminds me of Tharntype (roomates/hate each other/turn into lovers)
3) Minami-kun no koibito (Minami's lover / The one inch Princesses): This is your typical "weird" J-drama setup, based on a manga. A girl transforms overnight into a one inch doll-like woman. Her neighbor is the one who keeps her "safe". Its a cool story and the boy is very handsome. I loved this so much, I could watch it again and again!
4) Itazura na Kiss (2013): The story is simple, girl falls in love over guy who thinks she is an idiot. The female lead is annoying and the male lead is a horrible tsundere but the story is timeless. Its a fairy tale. I hated the female lead but at the same time I loved her. She is a great actress. Season 2 is crap, don't watch it but Season 1 is a classic. I have only watched the 2013 version but there are Korean, Thai, and Taiwanese versions. There is also an unofficial Chinese remake starting the girl from Meteor Garden 2018. After Boys Over Flowers, this is probably one of the most popular shojo mangas out there. There is one scene that is sooo classic, google Rain Scene itazura na kiss if you want a spoiler. IDK what is about rain and J-dramas...

I will voluteer some Jdramas myself but first the question is what do you like? Also, do you have netflix?

Warning: The first episode of LoveSick is a mess. After that, it gets better. Season 2 is very good.

It takes a LONG time to finish LoveSick because it has a total of 48 episodes (12 in Season 1 and 36 in Season 2), and while it gets repetitive in the middle, its worth it!

Oh, we are going to miss this show when it ends... For me, its probably going to be worst than when I watched the last episode of Love Sick.... I think I was depressed for a whole week.

I watched J-dramas first, then I tried K-dramas but didn't like them... and then I found Thai BL... and now I don't know what else to do with my free time :)

I blame Netflix. Dang Netflix, why did you had to "suggest" Love Sick? :P

My favorite so far. I agree.

I didnt like the end. It was cheesy but the rest of the show felt like Thai BL from a different Universe. Have we ever heard a Thai BL character ask "do you like men"? Lol have we ever seen a parent talking about condoms? It was great!

Lovesick made a very big deal out of the fact that neither Noh nor Phun would push each other too hard to come out. So I did like that.

I think the point of the script is that Pete feels insecure and this is why he is such a douchebag with Kao. If Kao gives Pete what he wants, all will be good.

Is much harder to come out than what you may think . At least in a conservative society it is hard. You are pretty much hardwired to hate yourself. It is a sad truth.

I sadly have to agree. New is just not that good in terms of range. I feel like all he can do is "puppy eyes". He emotes little. Tay is way better than him and thats a problem when they are paired al the time in scenes.

Mork and Sun do better because both actors are at the same level.

Mork has a great voice. Captain and Gunsmile are the only other BL actors I like listening to in terms of singing. Also, Pchy if we are talking about all bl actors...

I need to watch this again... I miss Noh and Phun!

In real life, a closeted gay guy will put up with a lot to keep the appearances. I think this is what the show is partly about.

If you read some analysis about the book and the show, you will find that some (like me) are of the opinion that Noh needed Phun to "come out" when he was ready for it and so by not telling him about Aim, he was showing that he loved him.

If anything, one could criticize this show for the fact that Noh (and sometimes Phun) show too much maturity for their age.

LOL I am exaggerating of course, he is a man, and a very attractive one at that :)

If you type TharnType on google, you get a couple of links and on the bottom a notice that if you click, you see that the production company that makes TharnType filed a complaint to google about a bunch of websites that are infringing on their copyright.

More than SOTUS? Yes! But more than Love Sick? :( Love Sick to me is an experience! It was my first Thai BL series and I refuse to give away its place in my heart!

Love Sick gave us these beautiful and powerful moments:
-The Goldfish Scene- (That's all I will say)
-All kinds of hand porn. I mean, I didn't know guys holding hands could be so erotic
-The "Morning Kiss"-
-This: "I thought you forgot about the front now that you had the back"
-That weird kid drawing a smile on Win
-White, ahhhh, I can't get enough of his smiles.
-This locker room scene:
Noh: "What are you doing? Are you going to have your way with me?" (or something like that)
Phun: "Why? Is the floor too hard?"
Noh: "Yes!", PAUSE , "NO!!!!!" (I laugh SOOOO HARD at this)
-Ohm, the best friend you hate to have
-And the crowning gem of all Thai BL:
Jeed: "Noh, are you gay?"
Noh: "I call it love", keeps walking and doesn't look back. MIC DROP

So that will always be my #1. It's like the first love, you don't forget it.

Gulf is a baby! ahhhh lol Seriously thought, I admire him for showing such wide range in his acting ability at such a young age. I mean the whole rape angle and the other stuff that he has to deal here is pretty complex and its cool to see he can handle it at such a young age.
