You have a right to your own opinion, but I personally think it is fine to have actors of that age portray the issues depicted in the novel and series. It is like watching a movie about child abuse and they have a kid portraying it. The violence or sex happens off screen. I think that is fine.
Also, we are all her jumping to conclusions. So far, the trailer has not shown any sex and no hints they will follow the exact plot for Jeed or Aim. You are speculating about what they will portray in this version with this cast.
If anything the trailers have a very fluffy, cute vibe.
Why are they making a show with sexual content that has minors as the leads? I get that they wanted to update…
You didn't read the novel then. Noh and Phun have sex but they are not too explicit. I think there is a very generic description of what happens but 90% of it is post-coital scenes, with Noh complaining or Phun joking about something that happened. There is one "forbidden chapter" that was not translated into English, but I also don't think it was in the original reelease.
The series was not sexually explicit. What do you call sexual content? Please, point out a scene that had sexual content in the original. I want to know.
So, I've noticed a few things. First the casting director clearly tried to copy the look of the original cast…
Love sick never needed and does not need NC scenes. It is about two young boys who fall in love. The book had some post-coital scenes but nothing more than that. A pair of gold fish will do for the coitus, just like in the original.
I don't need 20 year old portraying 15 year old. That is annoying.
The boys could have been older, but I am fine with Noh and Phun being very close in age to White and Captain when they first did this series.
you realise his acting cannot improve after a fews eps right? cause they filmed the scenes not in the order of…
I just mentioned it because I have seen a few cases of directors shooting in order, so as to capture the genuine chemistry of the couple as it grows, etc.
I was into Payos this ep - he's sexier when he's assertive and not just mooning over Tae. The short shorts didn't…
IDK MSP pull it off pretty well. It did had some drama, but it was able to maintain its light (and comedic) tone for almost the entire run of the series.
People in my comments, I'm not insulting Jimmy but please go back and re-watch esp sad scenes where he is supposed…
I only commented what I did in support of the OP because she was getting crucified for saying she didn't like Jimmy's smile. Otherwise, I would not have commented on his looks.
I actually think there is a lot more to this and it is not about vanity. As I alluded to earlier, Thai actors commonly do all kinds of things to look "better". There is an entire socio-cultural aspect to this. So I do think that commenting on the fact that an actor has a nose job or has used skin bleaching is not really vane. And I think an actor smiles conveys an important emotion or it can get in the way of an emotion, so it is part of his acting and it is critical. So no, these are not arguments about vanity.
I didn't like the ending of Last Twilight for a variety of reasons. I have to go back and think. If I recall correctly it all went downhill for me after the breakup. I thought the reason for the breakup was lame. I felt it was something they could have talked about. I understood why Day was upset, but I felt that Mhork response and actions were unnatural and didn't fit the character I have come to known. I thought that Day was also not seeing the entirety of Mhork, just focusing on the one thing. To me it was something that could have easily been resolved with a conversation. It was the classical Thai BL lover's separation that has to happen because it has to. Drama for drama's sake.
Then Day get his eyes back and that entire scene was just so weird and unnatural. Then of course, there is the ableisim of it all. Day gets his sight back and that is the end of the story. Everyone is happy. I thought the story was about hope and how one can adapt to a new reality. The end of the story should be when Day and Mhork get together and Day realizes he can rely on someone. So the series seemed to contradict itself.
My only dislike about this series, is about the breakup. I felt that Day was partly to blame, since on the day…
As the writer guy from Screenrant's Pitch Meetings would say, they broke up "because it is on the script". It was very silly and didn't make any sense to me.
I wouldn’t really say it looked like plastic clown smile, but i get what you mean and to me it looks more like…
He wasn't in BB that much for me to form an opinion, but I do remember noticing it in VV. It was the kind of smile that says, I spent money on my veneers, let me show you my white teeth LOL :D
Seriously though, I do agree his acting has improved so much since BB. His acting here was decent to good. Like the last twilight scene, he was amazing TBH.
I do agree with Artemissie comment above that maybe that weird smile or smirk comes from just not knowing when to smile or how to smile. I remember Ohm Pawat use to be Mr. Smiley face (gosh, he does have a beautiful smile though) in MIR and in HCTM. But he got better and in The Shipper I don't remember him doing it.
People in my comments, I'm not insulting Jimmy but please go back and re-watch esp sad scenes where he is supposed…
But I think she is right. This kind of... vane arguments just really give the fandom a bad name. Why are you (we?) arguing about what someone thinks about someone's nose job or smile or whatever?
I hated the ending of Last Twilight. Frankly, I thought it was stupid. Harsh? Maybe. But it is MY opinion. And this is a forum to express people's opinion's not an echo chamber to hear positive things about a series. Fans like you and others just make this space totally counter productive in terms of intellectual freedom to discuss a series merits or failings.
That's why I rarely come here to vent if I don't like something about a series or an actor.
I actually think she/he has a great point that I never once thought about. The issue with his smile is that he is just probably being a bit fake. I mean, Jimmy is a physician, not a trained thespian, so of course he probably has issues smiling or crying. And I am glad this discussion at least led to a very interesting idea. I have actually made the same observation about the doctor in La Pluie. His smile just looked clownish. I think it is the same reason. Bad acting. LOL Now I know. :)
Oh anyway, sorry to interject. Just wanted to give you my perspective on that comment about the BL fandom. And if you think the BL fandom is not toxic, you only have to look at the silly twitter wars they fight over the actors. :O
People in my comments, I'm not insulting Jimmy but please go back and re-watch esp sad scenes where he is supposed…
TBH I would give them that. Our opinions about someone looks are not fact. I mean, maybe he had a nose job and if he did that would be a fact. Maybe he has dental implants or veneers, and that would also be a fact. The fact that I don't like his nose, is my opinion.
Maybe that's what you meant to say, right? The fact is you have a strong dislike for his smile and that is not gonna change!
Hello Artemissie. I can see what you say. He has a weird smile. And it does remind me a bit of the joker sometimes LOL
But I actually thought he looks much better and more natural here compared to how he looked in Vice Versa. I think Jimmy's issue TBH is that his nose is a bit weird, so in profile he looks funny. I have always suspected he had a nose job, but IDK. In VV they also undersaturated him too much to make him look white, because you know how Thais are with white skin... :O
I would say he looked way more masculine, handsome and attractive in this series compared to VV. I found him almost unbearable there. Didn't think he was that hot, thought he looked weird and definitely though his smile looked fake. Here, IDK, I find him more acceptable. I can't remember if his smile bothered me too much. I don't think it did.
Bottom line, you are not alone. And yes, some people here are overly sensitive and feel like they are being attacked when you attacked the actors they like. I understand it and this is why I am very careful with how I phrase things.

Hate to be the negative nelly, but although i loved this series overall, the ending was a disappointment. I think…
I have learned that ratings matter very little here in terms of how good a series is in my opinion. My general rule is that if its between 8 to 9, it is good and I should watch it. If it is 7 to 8, it is probably good but I should make sure it is my type of series, or at least watch 2 or 3 episodes before I bail out. If its between 6 to 7, I try to find out about it or ask a friend before I commit to watch it. Anything below 6 I usually don't bother.
I had say this series has a pretty fair score based on my experience and how I interpret the scores here ;)
Can the rating go up already? I remember when this drama was airing it was at 8.7, but now its over, I don't understand…
Hate to be the negative nelly, but although i loved this series overall, the ending was a disappointment. I think this is why the ratings dropped. And i am pretty sure, i am not the only one who felt the ending was a bit meh. If this series didnt have such an amazing climax, i probably would have given it a 7.8. As it is, i would give it an 8 or 8.5 max.
The actual term used in the Thai series (per that song scene in ep 4) is ที่รัก, tee rak, which means…
Well, now that you know, listen carefully when he says Boo a couple of times on Ep 4 and you will hear it: "Tee lak" (Thai's pronounce the R as L in informal speech). That is Tee rak. Rak as in LOVE. :)
The pun is with Kang's name I guess? His name is curry and he works in a curry place. LOL
I am totally attracted to Kang's deep voice! the way I'm also attracted to Pond's voice😮💨😫
He is just overall sexy. It is so weird to see a guy like him playing a role like this. LOL But I do like that they are breaking with expectations. Kang is older, more mature and very masculine, but he is the "Boo", he is the Babe, he is the one getting pursued. He is, for lack of a better term, the uke. :)

Very cool! So we got the title of the series now pretty well broken down ;) That song was key.
