Appreciate that we get a better understanding of the character Kijima in this series. Overall, decent prequel to the original drama. Felt the acting was a bit over-the-top but the story is decent.

Idk... I thought this was okay. It didn't have me as excited as I thought I'd be. I think the concept is very interesting and cool but the execution was okay. The reveals felt a little lackluster for me. Especially the 2nd reveal because that one became very obvious after the initial reveal. I think the actors were good but the writing/dialogue could've been less chunky - too much spoken exposition. Overall, it wasn't a bad watch, it was just okay.

What a great movie. The story is simple but the execution is so well done that you're intrigued from start to finish. You question a lot of things but then slowly start to get your answers through a beautifully done build up. My only issue with the film is the ending. The build up was so great, that there was no need for so much explaining. I completely understood the why without having to have all the exposition at the very end - without the exposition, I believe that would've made the ending that much more impactful. But overall, a really great film. Beautiful shots and great acting.

This drama was okay. Started off really interesting but eventually it started to lose its spark for me. Definitely…
I think that if this drama presented this story in a way that really criticised classism and capitalism it would've had more of an impact on me. I think it tiptoed around the idea especially with the rich covering up their crime, but it didn't go deep enough for me.

This drama was okay. Started off really interesting but eventually it started to lose its spark for me. Definitely a story about how money and status can drive anyone to do horrible things in order to get money and status and also to maintain them. For me, I just felt like the execution was a bit exhausting and over-the-top. This drama is a decent watch but definitely had potential to be better.

This drama was okay. I thought the story was fine, cinematography okay, and the acting okay. All around okay. Wish there was more characterisation for both the main characters because I feel like I still don't know either of them. Even though I think this was okay, it wasn't boring and I can appreciate the spicy scenes.

Maybe the 2nd season will feel less creepy? Hopefully it is set after he has graduated university and is now an actual adult 😬🤞🏽

I don't know man... this drama would've felt that less creepy for me if the younger character was, at the very least, already in university. The story still would've been exactly the same but less of an ick. I don't mind age gaps in BLs and romcoms but highschool students and grown adults will never be my thing. But, if you can put aside the age gap, it's a standard BL. It has all the cute clichés and actors who have good chemistry.

The irony of this film is that they tell us the manga artist is horrible at coming up with convincing villains, just for the villain in this movie to not being that convincing, that interesting, or even that scary tbh.

This was a decent film. The concept is definitely cool but still pretty predictable. I felt like the actors were really good but the direction could've been a lot better. For it to be labelled as a thriller, I felt like there were only just a few scenes that actually had me feeling anxious or got my heart racing. Overall, it was a good watch but not the best in the genre.

The last episode broke me... I'm still crying as a type this. This drama was definitely a metaphor for grief. It made some good points, I just wish the editing of certain scenes and execution of certain points were a bit different to really give an even bigger impact. But the actors all around were great and the story was interesting. Everything made sense by the end. Ugh! Beautiful metaphor but oh boy... I'm in shambles right now 😭

This is okay. Really enjoyed the series but this special didn't really add to anything. If they've been together for a while now, I wish they seemed a bit closer in this special and not as awkward which I didn't mind in the series because they were just forming their relationship. But it's simple and cute.

This drama was good! It was sweet and charming. I believe the three main characters had great chemistry and the story was simple but executed well. My only issue with this drama is that there were too many unnecessary flashbacks. Apart from that, I really enjoyed and liked this drama!

This was such fun watch! This drama made me laugh so hard but was also sweet with a lot of romcom corniness. Every actor was great to watch but I especially loved the supporting cast, they really added to the fun. Especially Yahagi Honoka and Kaji Masaki, they were a delight every time they were on screen. This drama's story itself is very cliché but you'll have so much fun and laughs watching this!

I feel like the first half of this movie did a great drop at giving us emotion. I felt bad for the MC then felt happy for him. It beautifully conveyed his struggles up to his turn around. However, from the time the 2nd act kicked off, I felt like I wasn't as emotionally invested. What was I supposed to feel? Anxious? Desperation? Tension? I didn't really feel anything and I think that's because they didn't really know what to do with the MC at the point. The acting was good from the entire cast, but I just wish the execution of the story was a bit better - it felt like it's missing a key element. Overall, it's an okay film. Not much of a thriller, in my opinion.

I didn't hate this drama. I feel like it had sooo much potential. I absolutely love the concept but as far as story and characters, I didn't get enough. I needed more characterisation and needed to feel more of a resolve. The first couple of episodes were really good but by the end, I wasn't satisfied because it felt like I was missing out on a lot of needed detail. I'm just seeing from the comments that there's an anime, so I think I'll check that out and hopefully get more from that. But overall, I didn't hate this drama because I enjoyed the actors. Just needed more from it.

This drama by far has the most heart-warming depiction of love I've seen in its first 2 episodes. I absolutely enjoyed watching the two together. However, I felt that the conflict felt undeserved because, to me, it seemed forced. The conflict didn't fit the personality of the character we were watching all this time. A character who never once hesitated or questioned his love for that man. It just didn't make sense to me. But I did think the actors were fantastic and the first 2 episodes were absolute gems as far as depicting such a beautiful love story between two people.

Very good drama. Simple in both story and execution but the emotions were complex. The actors were great with equally great chemistry. The cinematography was also great. This drama's only flaws were that it's not long enough and it didn't give me much character development. However, the acting did make up for that and I enjoyed the overall down-to-earth feel of this drama.

On The End of the World with You Jan 9, 2024
The story was definitely interesting. You definitely get a huge mix of emotions watching this drama which I personally love. Though, one of my issues with this was probably the dialogue which sometimes came off a little too melodramatic. My other issue was Toshiki Seto's acting, who was a little too over-the-top in certain scenes which was a stark contrast from the other lead actor whose acting felt more grounded and natural. But the two leads and every other actor did have great chemistry on screen. The cinematography was great. As much as I couldn't stop watching, I still feel like I wanted more as far as characterisation. Overall, a pretty good drama but it has it flaws.
