i personally like the pacing and think that it is just right given that the drama is only 28 episodes long but i say still give it a try to see how you like it, esp since you mentioned that you have been following xu kai and wu jiayi and its their first drama together as the leads :)

there is one annoying second FL but nothing too bad. um a love triangle is kind of inevitable haha but I'm firmly on the ML x FL ship so i think it's fine.

that's even more annoying. i honestly hate it when dramas focus on the romance of the second leads instead of the main leads.

mild spoiler: she likes him too but she has to suppress those feelings because of her identity and how she basically needs to use him to help her people (this is where the angst will come in soon i think). definitely check it out!! there's a lot more comedy and more romance.

oh really? i actually haven't checked out AMA yet because I kinda just discovered Xu Kai lol but was scrolling through this page to see how the drama was.

lol don't let one bad experience ruin all of cdramas for you. have you checked out xu kai's new cdrama, Dance of the Sky Empire? he falls for the FL first there too *wink wink*

agreed! she acts as their little matchmaker and she's more mature than half the adults in the show. props to the young actress <3

the first 12 episodes of the drama have been pretty fluffy. the angst comes in in the second half (which is expected but i dont think it will be too too bad).

haha what pride? mine doesn't exist so i don't even bother hiding the fact that that scene and the acting made me bawl like a baby. i'm loving the whole cast and every character is interesting (except for cui pian ran-- she annoys me lol).

hey! um i'm not sure either. i watched up to ep 14 and as of now, he does not have his healing ability anymore. i agree-- i was expecting tian shu grandpa to give it back to him (esp. after he was beaten 1223234x by that little monk). he probably didn't ask because the old man did help him escape ultimately. but i definitely want to see him get it back tho!

haha at least it's okay to not be okay is a kdrama and has two episodes a week. smh tw dramas really need to learn from chinese dramas and release more than one ep a week
