xu kai got me with his emotional crying scene in ep 13 but esp since the opening scene in ep 1 when he's remembering his mom. what makes that scene even more impactful is that he had to act it out in front of a green screen only

i'm assuming it's because his mother left the kunwu clan when she got married to his human father and no one really knew of his existence. i can't stand her master either but if you look at it from the kunwu's clan POV, the humans are the ones who have without adequate reason attacked them. it makes sense that their goal is to waken their dragon king so that he can save them. i like that this drama makes us question who really are the "bad" guys here-- the humans or the kunwu clan. and as for the FL, she is the last saintess in their clan so she is very important for helping waken dragon king too. i want li xuan to regain his memories soon as well, hopefully in tomorrow's episodes :)

xu kai's reaction to cross-dressing now vs his first time in once upon a time in lingjian mountain is so much more relaxed haha (he's accepted his fate lol). he even said in an interview that cross-dressing is either 0 times or countless times xD
