Most of your Ratings are 5.0 or Below. I’m curious why you spend, or rather waste, so much of your time watching dramas you consider “Bad.” Or, you just enjoy being a “Downer”?

Wow! The acting = Superb. Good story writing and character development.

I agree mainly because Lee Young Ah’s acting was of a higher caliber. Eugene’s acting = lukewarm = her trademark. She is very popular though.

He is an “old timer” and an excellent actor. He never overacts.

I “finished” by skipping a lot of scenes … not just ones of HyunJae and MiRae but also ones of the Grandfather’s sister and family. I enjoy Family dramas (50 eps), but this one was a struggle to get through due to poor acting (some) and the very annoying HyeYoung. Have you watched Bread, Love and Dreams? It’s typical K-drama, but the acting so much better.

Interesting how the last two comments reflect what I’m about to say. On Ep. 41 now. From Ep. 30 on, I have been skipping all the scenes between Hyun Jae and Mi Rae. I can’t buy into their romance. Absolutely no chemistry between them … Bae Da Bin c a n n o t a c t ! So agree that Lee Yoon Jae and Shim Hae Jun are so much fun to watch. Unlike Hyun Jae and Mi Rae whose dialogues are so cheesy, the dialogues between Yoon Jae and Hae Jun are so funny.

Excellent review. I dropped this after 4 episodes. I agree with the blogger who called this a Shouty Show and dropped after 4 episodes. Inconsistent character development … poor writing!

I also found Jeon So Min very annoying on Running Man and stopped watching because …. I may watch this for Lee Sang Yeob. He was soooo good in Once Again.

Wow … Probably the most well-written review of a drama anywhere on the Net ! You touched on all the points of why this drama is “a whole mess” (the writing), yet it’s so compelling a watch (the acting). I skipped from midway through Ep. 7 and now just started Ep. 10. Will spend time to read recaps so I can follow the insane plot before continuing to watch … for the acting.

Who is the Dumb One here? This drama or me who watched 55 episodes before my Good Sense kicked in … I dropped this!

I do like this genre (revenge) but this one went downhill quickly. I recommend Ice Adonis, Lie After Lie, Resurrection … to name a few. No actress does better in Revenge dramas than Lee Yoo Ri !

Managed to finish 17 episodes by fast forwarding from Ep. 11 on. Can't and don't want to waste more of my time. I'm only interested in the Main Plot of the grandfather finding his lost family. Please, someone, when does the grandfather start to realize that his lost family has been near him all this time ... Which Episode?

Drama wasn’t bad due to the superb acting. Agree with you that 12 - 13 episodes would have been enough ... repetitive replays of too many “flashback.” Also, Goong Choel and Jung Hae ended up getting divorced was inconsistent with what they “agreed on” as they stood by their son’s hospital bed. I’ve never downgraded a drama because I didn’t like the ending until this one ... I believe it would have been a better drama for GC and JH to stay together and learn to trust each other = Character Growth.

Agree. Great beginning. However, after only 1-1/2 episodes I dropped this because I could not stand the ML ... his acting (or non-acting) was so “wooden” especially compared with the FL.

Lee sang yeob was superb in this drama. I just finished My wife is having an affair this week and LSY had a supporting role. In that drama, I felt he over-acted, with very exaggerated facial expressions. Four/five more years have made a big difference in his acting. When a great actor and actress are paired together, there is bound to be great chemistry (the two Lee’s).
