Title The Untamed
perhaps you're new to chinese dramas?? The action scenes appeared weak and lacking yes but i guess it's because…
No, I understand completely. I am a huge fan of xianxia, wuxia and xuanhuan. That actually makes me disappointed a lot more actually. TV series can never compare to how story development goes in novels but this drama has just so much wasted potential. Fight scenes are not my priority, story is but still those are a big part of the world.

Now am on E24 (yeah I am binge watching) and there was a nonsensical reduction in the power level of the main antagonist and his minions' power. Similarly a sudden increase in the power of the protag and his friends, getting the upper hand even on the strongest of the enemies.

All these sudden changes just to move the plot makes the writing weak and destroys immersion. Nonetheless the character's stories are really addicting and that's why I am still hooked, but I won't be keeping it unless the protag of the future has a passionate romance (the other genre I love) but that's doubtful, I haven't encountered any really passionate romances in Chinese dramas at all. Even recommended romance dramas fell short.

Well you are mistakenly completely about what i want from this drama and how I feel disappointed with the wasted potential. I must say, you must be a fan to have such bleak view for people who judge what you like differently.
There will be no gain in even trying to make you understand why I feel disappointed because you already feel fulfilled with what it currently offers.

Fans are fans at the end of the day, even if objectively speaking a series does not deserve a 9 just like this one, the fans will always rate it 10...

Frankly I am only waiting for this long long flashback to end already and see the story in the present, I hope the hero will be badass by then and not be someone easily crushed like a flee...

The bromance was exemplary and the main plot was ok. The romance is nice. It keeps itself at a level that I find barely enough but the FML is just too unique. Its one of the few dramas that have a naive, cute and delicate FML.

No shouting ladies or parents' politics and antagonists who do change for the better along the course of the drama. These few traits made it something that I wanted to keep. But essentially it was the FML that makes it stay in my backups. Unfortunately she didn't star in many good dramas.

Title Reply 1988
I beg a differ....reply 1997 bore me....But again each drama will click differently with.all of usI Didn't care…
I agree, for me both of the other two were boring, this one for me was the masterpiece. I loved the relations in this, the social like etc. On top it's the only series that makes me cry the most (am a male). Even when I have watched it so many times already.

A very different spin on things. It was good watch. Pacing was perfect and it kept me on the edge of my seat many times in its short stint, anticipating what the calm and collected but brilliant ML will do next.

Unfortunately though it is only a one time watch for me. Still brilliant!

Title Second Love Spoiler
Till Ep3:
Stupid twist after stupid twist... I can't imagine what was going through the writer's head... Usually I avoid Japanese dramas, only the leads are keeping this show afloat.

Till End:
Well the leads were indeed running the show but by the end, fortunately all characters got sane lines and behaviors.
It was a good ride. immaturity to maturity. And good insight into how driven talented people are and how they don't seem to understand the other not so talented people around them. Thus becoming the reason for their frustration.
I can relate to it very closely because I do number in the highly talented in my field, who only serve to make others jealous, sparking misunderstandings and gossips. Resulting in a very difficult social life with most people.

Title Search: WWW Spoiler
This drama has many plot lines and I loved all of them. Perhaps I fell out of love for the main couple at the end but all others were wrapped up nicely. In fact, I was surprised with the SGK couple, so mature and so sad, I definitely wanted them to sort out their feelings towards each other. Alas! 16 episodes are just too short for such to happen.

The no marriage issue is something that can not happen in my country easily because though it is expensive, it can be managed in much less, if there is a will. When our young generation tries to skip it that just means they are finding an excuse to escape responsibilities. Essentially its an idea frowned upon in my society and religion, so I couldn't wrap my head around it for the FL either. Which sucked a lot of fun for me, from the drama.

Well it ended uneventfully. Nothing to say really, only the very very few romantic scenes were good.

Title I Hear You
I am halfway in the drama and I just keep noticing that only the lead couple have the worst dialogues and awkward reactions, making them extremely boring. Though I do feel the yearning to see their romance which unexpectedly haven't really occurred yet. The second leads are far better than them with good engaging plots. Most prominent support characters are bad at acting while almost all small roles are better...

And finally I keep noticing same wardrobe being used multiple times, was the production company really so poor or were the actors bringing their own clothes?

Title One Spring Night Spoiler
It would be perfect if they didn't make the female lead a cheating girlfriend and cover that as romance. For me…
I do agree to this to a point. Yes, cheating is bad and endorsing it is also equally bad. Drama doesn't endorse it and labeling it so just seems that you are not thinking critically about it.
After all one doesn't know when their feelings change and perhaps they find a better match while being in a relationship. Its perfectly natural behavior. Even if that's a sin, one has to bear it to achieve happiness. The drama shows a realistic view of a case, which might be more common than you think. Couples engaged in relations which have now become no more than just words buried under many social burdens, apparent responsibilities and fear of the unknown future otherwise.
Weaving through the mire of social stigmas is shown very maturely by the directors and that's how the audience gets to love the characters, not just the leads.

Title Different Dreams Spoiler
This drama was fantastic. Though the main leads were good, they were not great for me. Loved the ML though. Even…
Like once I really felt that Fukuda and Matsuuri should win, they really tried so hard. For them it was duty and safety of their nation. Rebels had a different vision of the state and nation and thus in their ideology they were good. Then there were other camps, other rebel groups, politics, military and even foreign interventions... Each had their unique plus.
Hell, I even felt sorry for Hiroshi quite a few times... the touching moments between him and his daughter were extreme tear jerkers for me. And frankly I did hate the FL for betraying him in the ways she did, she could have gone around it in other ways but sometimes she just did it out of pure frustration over her own jumbled and unresolved feelings towards him. His quick death really made me feel down, after all he also finally resolved his feelings for her and we could have a long but possible path towards reconciliation.
I especially felt extremely sad when the rebel groups' other female died and then the tragic roller coaster just kept spinning.

This drama was fantastic. Though the main leads were good, they were not great for me. Loved the ML though. Even the second leads, in the cop camp were so good, at one time, I really wanted them to win and decimate the leads. This is the magic of this drama, all camps are in the grey, sometimes good, sometimes very bad. They make you root for them sometimes in even really twisted circumstances...

I found the main couple not very interesting at the beginning and the middle. Only at the end did I find them mildly entertaining. On the contrary, I Iiked the second leads the best, alas they didn't show them much after a certain point.

But overall I am not finding my venture into Chinese drama as good as I had hoped.

I liked it very much. Not enough to keep but still good. Earlier reviews pegged the FL as bland but I like her very much. Though the romance was pegged to the down low in the later half but when it was there, it felt good. The kisses were as usual with no movement but I have come to accept the ineptness of Korean actors in this department. You can only really expect consistent hot kisses from older 35+ actors.
