Love your review. I'm only on episode 16, so my impression of the drama as a whole and its ending is still out, but I agree with the other points you mentioned (while still enjoying it A LOT!!). I came to read some reviews, because how they use the bgm in this drama is distracting. The songs are beautiful, but like you mentioned, during the dialogues it seems, as if the music tries to take over and to tell the story of its own. Wth?! 😅 And I agree with your impression of Zhou Ye. I love my girl, but I keep thinking, that this role was not a good fit for her. Plus - was it the director's decision, that they all look so fake, when they scheme against ea during these family assemblies? To make it so obvious to the audience? And perhaps ea, and to show that every family member still upholds the obvious scharade?
I am on ep 10. As someone, who's still fighting off a drama slump, I do enjoy this show so far. Good pacing of the storyline, acting works for me, chemistry of the mls is there. I love Xu Kai's voice. That low timbre with a touch of nonchalance and a little soothing? Yes, please 😅
Finally a drama, where the story gets even better as the plot unfolds. It has its plot holes, but as a whole the drama is a good watch with great acting. Loved it and had a good time watching it 😁
Your review is on point. I only made it to ep 13 before I dropped it. They were cute but the story got too dragging and preachy for my taste. And the kid - on Viki a lot comments found it okay to pass the kid around with the argument, that "it takes a village". No, this here was a backpack kid. With no real home and a stable environment.

That supposedly romantic staring at ea in the pool came out of nowhere imo. Zero build up in their interactions before. We saw some hints, that Third is interested, but nothing by Wan yet. That made the pool scene forced and clumsy in my eyes.
They should have casted younger actors for their backstory as students. They look both too mature for these parts. 😩 Otherwise I like this drama so far (ep 4).
Solid lakorn. Checked all the typical drama tropes, but thanks to a good story telling and pacing it worked for me. The Bambi eyes of the fl at the beginning let me nearly drop the show, but she found her backbone just in time. The redemption arc of the ml's mom felt last minute and forced to the max. That is my only real complain.
First episode was kind of a mixed bag for me. First half didn't sell imo. But the second half thankfully changed the vibe to more serious and depths. That part will bring me back for the next ep 😁
