It was only announced about 10 days ago that it was going to premier on July 5. Prior to that the release date…
Then my algorithm didn't serve me well 😅. But I found it in time. Just did a rewatch of Speed and Love last week and was looking for a new released contemporary drama.
Flew this drama under radar or was I in the wrong information bubble? I discovered this drama only by chance as I scrolled through iQiyi on the lookout for a good show to watch next.
I had very little expectations from this drama. You could say that it was mostly on my radar because I tend to…
Ty for your comment. I'm just on ep 1 and reading all the negative and criticizing comments got Exhausting. So your positive comment was more than welcomed 😅. I looked up your final score - 10. That gives me some hope, since I am looking forward to this show with YY. Let's see,how it goes 😁
Well, I'm not sure about a 9, but it definitely is better than Pursuit of Jade plot wise. And that mid drama got…
Same. Was PoJ the best drama out there? No. It had its flaws. But it was a popcorn banger nonetheless. So the high ratings are okay imo. This drama? Completely different vibe and tale. I love the psychological aspects. Gives the drama some uniqueness besides the usual family and political intrigues. And the acting and story pacing delivers so far. So it deserves the high ratings too.
The last episodes drove home, how impressive her character is. To not only survive in these conditions, but to further develop and hone different skill sets, AND despite her broken mind to thrive in the outside world after she left the mountain? Just wow.
Just watched ep 24. The moment, when they spot each other through these planks is heartbreaking and exceptional acting. The subtle shift in both their faces after their eyes met. The devastation. Especially on HaiXia's face. That scene will live rent free in in my mind for a long time 😭😭😭
I'm only on ep 10 so far, but needed to look up the age restriction for this show. 13+? WTH? The last eps felt like a slasher movie with all the stabbing, squishy sounds and red sauce going on (and don't get me started on the ridiculous level of plot armor).
The teachers are young, not even ten years older than her I think.
Do I think that they have chemistry? H’ yes. They’re fire together. 😁 So I get, where you’re coming from. But while I love my romance usually just fine, here I hope, they keep it on the level of “maybe”, “could be (in the future)”. Her maturity level is clearly that of a high schooler. I didn’t detect an “old soul” in her. LOL He might have some immature and childish tendencies, but in his interactions you still see the maturity of an adult. That’s my main reason, I don’t ship them at the moment. And it doesn’t look like a drama with a time skip.

She is an 18 year old high schooler. He is at least mid 20 starting a new job position. Different stages in life. At this point such things matter additionally to the age difference.
I am only on ep 3, but I need to say 2 things. Furukawa as a nosy god is a vibe with his helper. 😎 And Rin is my MVP. And I have a little crush on her character.

I want him to survive.

When I think, that I paid attention the whole time, but obviously still missed some points 😅
Or are we assuming that he died, when the other guy wanted his face?

Just rewatched the part. I completely ignored the donat nap. 🤦🏻♀️
He started the day as Sun, but later in the day they call and treat him as Solar.
Huh? When did he switch?

But I am a little disappointed, that his ambition to improve her math score got buried so easily.
Obv I dodged a bullet when I bowed out after a handful of eps.
