If we keep in mind, that Qin got scolded and (kinda?) mistreated for being “too loud” in his childhood, my guess is, that the first hook, Duang left in him, was his loud and boisterous behavior with his friends during cram school days. The polar opposite of his learned behavior. Result: Qin is annoyed and intrigued equally. Once on his radar, he observed Duang’s kindness and steadiness towards others.

They are seldom at home and have the opportunity to see their son, but still decide to go on a romantic date instead to spend the rest of the day with their son. Qin dodged a bullet from the start. While getting frustrated bc the guy, he is courting, seemingly doesn’t reciprocate any feelings even after a prolonged period, is relatable, his resulting behavior was sh#tty. From love bombing to ghosting overnight? That’s a red flag from the start.
