I’m honestly confused about how the writer is portraying the FL in these recent arcs. When the eunuch was reading…
She didn’t know, that she would be adressed specifically. Probably thought, that she wouldn’t be missed. And she didn’t want to waste food. 😁 That’s kinda consistent with her character
Just curious, who is still watching ongoing and waiting everyday for new episode release? Or many of you already…
I watch on IQiyi. Currently debating with myself, if I will stick with the regular release till Sunday or take the express route, when it will be available.
With a Xie granny as matriarch it’s no wonder that the family is rotten. I am extremely curious, if her dad will get some kind of redemption arc. His biggest fault seems to be his submissive too passive nature paired with filial duty towards his terrible family members.
Currently on episode 16. And imo the ratings are making sense. On a first glance the drama is well made and an easy and uplifting show. But after the first episodes it is losing its depth. To quote the synopsis “embodying the resilience needed to grow in adversity”. Does the drama show us her struggles and her resilience? Not after the beginning, when she was still adjusting to her new life. After she decided to life that life to the fullest and make a run for it, we haven’t really seen any of her struggles. Instead she seems to be supergirl with a cheat code, since she knows future developments. That her achievements still only come with endurance is something, we viewers have to assume on our own. We aren’t witness of her struggles, her doubts. Things, that are basics for building resilience. No. The story rushes from achievement to achievement, seemingly easy peasy. That is not good storytelling. Hence the dissatisfaction of viewers with the drama and the feeling of disconnection. A connection between the characters and the viewers is built, when we can feel with them. Feel their humanity, their weaknesses. Only then we will get emotionally invested and will be cheering for their success.
Looks like Ha Ran liked “her” Chan, but fell really in love with roommate Chan via their chats.
The latter should’ve come clean with her during the talk, when he was giving her the cloud pen. That was some uncomfortable watch. It showed, that sincerity makes all the difference. His lying undermines his health and their growing relationship from the start. His ongoing stalling about the truth is a serious issue at this point.
How often can I rewatch this fight scene? A LOT 😅 It’s a masterpiece. Besides that, you can see, how these killings take something from her. Great acting.
It’s a drama with a poetic and healing vibe.Overcoming past trauma and tragedy, including depression. It’s…
Poetic isn’t only used directly relating to poetry. The Cambridge dictionary will tell you, that a second meaning is “very beautiful or expressing emotion”. That is the meaning I intended in my comment.
“Don’t insult a true poetic drama like that” - you know, that taste differs, do you not? You might not find s/t “poetic”. But another person might. Art is by nature subjectively judged. “Not 2 people are watching the same drama”. That quote was originally about books. But it works for dramas too.

Just realized, that my brain buried his ugly behavior in the village already

“They hopped the fence” took me out.
And on screen he delivers a first class multilayered villain.
I am uber impressed by his acting
And then they showed the maids 🤣🤣🤣🤣
At this rate Bao’er will end up on the throne while still being a kid.
