Is the show cheesy? Yep. Choppy in parts, how the story unfolds? Yep. But nonetheless it’s still a great drama until now, which gives you all the feels and got me hooked and seated to watch. The show makes me nostalgic af, because it gives the vibe of the older dramas with its color coding and theme. Remember “Mars” anyone? This drama reminds me so much of it.
And I like Heyu’s acting! I only knew him by name until now. That definitely changed with this show. You can feel his yearning for her, her warmth and sunshine through his acting. And he didn’t overact one moment. You can even sometimes see the hurt little boy in his face shine through.
Just finished ep 6.7+8 are not released, yet.On the earliest at the same time like IQiyi today.
A time traveller among us. 🤣 I feel blessed and honored to make your acquaintance. Viki released (at least in my time zone) at the same time as IQiyi today. Technology. Software. Weird things happen sometimes.
After watching the first 6 eps: Works for me. Chemistry between these 2 is steamy. The story so far has a good pace. Kudos to the coordinator for the fight scenes. They’re looking good. 👍
The car scenes are giving me nostalgia for my first two cars. Stick shift. A good shock absorber to counter the speed while taking the winding roads. That and mountains roads with no traffic? Pure joy behind the wheel.
does anyone know if new episodes will be unlocked for free on viki every day (following behind the schedule for…
„For free“? Most likely only the first episodes. Afterwards it will be subscription. What kind depends on from where you are watching. Today they dropped the same 6 episodes as on IQiyi. That’s unusual. My guess, it’s the result of the IQiyi release disaster. Usually Viki starts to release some days later. Either they will “fix” and adjust it (I hope not!), or they’ll release 2 episodes according to the VIP airing schedule like IQiyi this time. At least currently it states on Viki, that 7-8 will be released tomorrow. 🤷🏻♀️
Shohei was soft af in the manga, but Itsuki was a bit rougher (though incredibly kind to Shohei).
Okay. 30% wrong in my guesses. Not too bad.
Off topic, but since I love to check out profiles (one can never get enough inspiration for potentially interesting dramas): Can these Kamen Rider movies be watched out of order? Or is there an ongoing storyline, which gives the movies some kind of chronological order?
Update 2: Our fellow user Oddsare wrote some really apt character analysis to Minato. That’s above is the link to her comment here within the comment section.
I have no knowledge of the manga. But with the exception of our vet, who matches (imo) his persona, I have the impression, the other guys, especially Minato, should be shown in their characterization with more of an (underlying) rougher edge. He and the brothers seem to be muted down in their personalities. Too nice, soft and fluffy. Too pastel. (No. I don’t mean their fashion here.) And I get, that the 2nd couple has to be there for context, but they’re boring. 🥱 Chemistry? Nonexistent.
Perhaps slightly off topic. But I could watch Kan’s/Watarai’s walk on a loop. His great posture combined with his long legs looks fine af when he walks a room. When he grabs Hioki and strides through the classroom? That distance was too short. 😂
Storyline has picked up and now we even have a developing second couple. But this is definitely more of a slow…
Thanks to both of you for replying. I have decided to drop it. I like a good slow burn. But the underlying burn part isn’t burning enough for me. But that’s only my personal taste. Which means, keep enjoying it and have a good time watching.
Okay. I need to ask: I am currently watching ep 5. And I will watch at least 2 episodes more. But. Does the story start to pick up at one point a little?
Because, while I like the characters and I found the storyline interesting, so far I am not hooked either. The storytelling kinda trickles along since they’re back in the city.

Are we prepared for a smoldering Watarai tomorrow?

The airing schedule is posted in the discussion section and under photos.

I liked it. The last 10min had me grinning like a fool.
Their chemistry? 🔥
