You know what I just realized? Since the King is planning to give the throne to the prince then he is 100% planning to die so that can happen. He is willing to give his life for this and these fools are out here with their baseless revenge thinking they know anything about anything.

I want it to actually be the opposite where Dal ha does something dumb because of course but she protects the king and they lay it all on the table, it might just be wishful thinking on my part.

Am I expecting too much from this drama if I actually think she'll wake up and start protecting and helping and loving him like he has for her in the next episodes?

I agree but I like my endings more concrete without having to imagine things, after following a story for months, it costs them nothing to film 5 more minutes and show it to us.

Since the king is fictional and did not exist in history, if they end the drama with his death we're gonna have a serious problem. After all the sh*t they've put him through, he's the only one with a functioning brain and if it wasn't for him the kingdom would be in shambles, he deserves a happy life away from the palace.

Thanks for clearing it up, it would've been nice if it was less vague and they gave us a 2 minute epilogue of their married life together during the day and them saving people at night.

I actually like SSK in sageuks, my biggest problem is the writing, her motivations don't make much sense, and the way she's going about everything is so stupid if it wasn't for the man she wants revenge against she would be dead 10 times over and she's doing things that will have much worse consequences then what he did when he had no choice but she does. We're not the only ones, I read an article that knetizens are scratching their heads because of her motives and plotting too.

I'm about to start pulling my hair out because of this woman. If they don't turn this around in the next episode I'm done. I can't handle another 4 eps of their braindead plans to overthrow a king that's actually doing good to place a child who will be puppeteer-ed or dead the second he's on the throne while the people suffer all over "revenge" towards someone who is largely not responsible for her misfortune and has on so many occasion saved her ungrateful ass even while knowing she's plotting against him.

I haven't found the episode subbed yet but I read that he found her by accident while she was out being a vigilante or is that not accurate?

I completely understood why she left after being deprived of her freedom for 15 years but I would've liked her to be the one to come to him after a year or two .

Hee Soo's reasoning and actions don't make any sense in terms of literally anything, either motivation, execution or results and I don't know if what she's doing is meant to be a flaw in her character or they're painting her as actually right with the usual braindead drama logic. Also if this is meant to be a love story then I'm going to need to actually see that from her side.

You described it perfectly but I don't think this show is interested in showing them as partners who take care of each other equally rather than the perfect man who will do anything for the girl he loves.

Yeah it's clear that she loves him but the work he puts into the relationship is far greater and while she's young she's not a child and they infantilize her too much, she's perfectly capable of doing the same but I don't see that happening.

LYY has had such an incredibly hard life and despite all he's been through he has poured his entire heart and soul into loving YG and I wish we'd see her do the same for him in the future.

Despite the fact that I think there were better ways to write this conflict, I hope it's the writers way of JW realizing how much she loves JH and that we see her support and take care of him as much as he has her. I will always take an equal partnership with mutually devoted people over a relationship where one half does all the work.

Is the second season already filmed and they had to separate them due to the new rules? Or are they planning to film it later? Because I can't find any information about it.

Why is it that drama writers seem to think we don't want to see female leads who are equally as supportive, protective and are also as capable of acts of sacrifice and devotion as their male counterparts? I'm getting really tired of these unbalanced relationships.

Even taking her trauma into account, her entire argument is so nonsensical I feel like I'm hallucinating because logic has been completely thrown out the window.
