I have the same belief that when the synopsis is gloomy it's usually a misdirection but I've also been burned too many times. Lmao I remember when 2521 was ending and everyone was going insane trying to come up with explanations why they were going to end up together despite all evidence to the contrary and in the end we got slapped in the face. Unfortunately, sometimes a cigar is just a cigar. But I still have hope it's be a happy ending although I don't want some basic sh*t like them meeting each other after a few years and looking at each other and that's the end, I hate that trope.
Idk I was still hoping for a happy ending, the obstacles between them are big but not impossible because ultimately no matter what his mother did, he's not her. If something like the princess' man can have a happy ending when her father literally caused his father's and brother's deaths, this is nothing compared to that. We've had plenty of melos with happy endings...
The episode description for the last episode being " Woojoo and Dong jin prepare to say goodbye, will they send each other off smiling" makes me want to lie on the floor and cry. Don't do this to me, I need them to have a happy ending. https://twitter.com/notyetconfrmed/status/1641038332552421376
What I respect the most about this show is how it is unequivocally a love story about 2 people, we have notable side characters but 99% of screentime is focused on our leads. So many chinese dramas spend time on second and third lead couples no one cares about to fill the number of episodes they have, this is one of the few shows that doesn't do that and it's a great thing when a show is exactly what it says on the tin.
I don't know where you're watching this, but I'm watching on DisneyPlus and the subtitles are a bit... like, I've…
Exactly, instead of concentrating on the story I'm left trying to piece together exactly what they said and the thing is a show like this it entirely hinges on the dialogue.

Yeah, I think those are the only subs available. I'm not fluent but I understand enough and they're just paraphrashing and a lot of the times it gives things different meanings. I mean if you're airing a foreign show on your platform, the least you can do is translate it well so the dialogue and the story are carried through and people understand it and enjoy it fully.
Why are the subs for this so bad? It's like they're not even trying to translate what's being said. I've always had such respect and admiration for the fansubbers who have been subbing kdramas for years and the awful subs from netflix and hulu have increased that respect tenfold because the difference in quality is insane.
They are in a long distance relationship. When her parents got divorced CX felt alone and neglected. She wants…
From the episodes I've seen so far and the comments about the events of the novel, it seems he loves her a lot more than she does him, perhaps I'm mistaken and that's not the case. I frankly like my fictional couples with equal devotion and love from both sides, I especially adore a badass commited FL who knows who she wants and never wavers. Thanks again for all the info.

Thank you for the answer. Poor guy I feel really bad for him, it seems he tried to get back together with her multiple times but she treated him cruelly per her friend's words. Hopefully we'll get a more in depth look into her reasoning and motivations so we can understand and sympathize with her thought process.
I can't believe this drama absolutely wasted Kim Nam gil and Lee Da hee together in a drama. Also poor lee da hee, she hasn't had a good drama since search www and that was in 2019, I hope her next one is better.
Did u check the facts first ?1. They are not allowed to do any promotion whatsoeverALON, actors did life broadcast…
I said what I read from sources that post news and rumors and posted those sources? I never claimed any of it as fact but they're the most likely things to happen rn. They said they aren't allowed any CP promotion , also ALON was never a BL and even then it's clear they cut SO much from it and from the abyss too, accidental hugs and a few looks are not even close to the level of WOH or the untamed, also they literally changed the names, the genre to scifi etc. All I wanted to do was talk about what's circling on the internet to help people so they can manage their expectations and not be too disappointed.
I think everyone needs to re-evaluate their expectations in terms of the upcoming danmei adaptations. From what I've read from different sources that talk about chinese entertainment rumors and news, here are the main points: - The government is letting them air the dramas to try and recuperate their production costs. -They are not allowed to do any promotion whatsoever, they can only airdrop the shows randomly. -The only way any of these dramas are going to get their lincenses to air is if they cut every single couple/shippy moment so that means the subtle and not so sublte subtext and at times actual text we're used to from word of honor and the untamed will be non-existent. TLDR; We're probably going to get all the danmei adaptations this year but prepare for them to be extremely cut, extremely sanitized versions of the books with absolutely zero romance subtle or otherwise. The starry love is officially airing the 17th so this is probably postponed again, I will never understand the chinese drama industry and the crazy ways they choose to release things. https://twitter.com/Allcbizmelons/status/1623276051525947393
What are your favorite American Sci-Fi series? Im looking for something to watch with space/time travel and aliens
The expanse is fantastic, as for time travel Dark is amazing and 12 monkeys is very underrated and starts slow but it did time travel very very well and had that rare combination of being extremely smart and well thought out as well as emotionally satisfying while also managing to land the ending perfectly. Fringe is another classic that didn't have time/space travel but had something similar and equally intruiging but I don't want to spoil you.
