On Fireworks of My Heart Dec 24, 2022
I hope the rumours aren't true and they're not changing the focus from the female lead/male lead together to mostly the male lead and his team. I want equal focus on the female lead her career as well as the romance, it's 40 episodes, there's more than enough time for everything but from the trailer I'm not very optimistic.

On The Legend of Anle Dec 24, 2022
There are SO many upcoming historical/Wuxia/Xianxia dramas that look amazing, this one included, I honestly don't mind waiting as long as they actually come out and they're well written as well as not hindered by the episode cuts and censoring that ruin a lot of dramas and turn them into nonsense devoid of any sense of coherent storytelling.

On Till the End of the Moon Dec 14, 2022
I was really excited for this but after seeing that they cut a 3rd of the episodes from the second half, I'd love to be wrong but the story is probably going to be butchered beyond recognition. I'm so tired of what are most likely great shows getting destroyed by massive cuts. Some shows can tell a story with less than 40 episodes, many can't and shouldn't, especially these epic fantasy shows with a plethora of characters and long spanning storylines . Without the high episode counts we would've never gotten Story of Ming Lan or Story of Yanxi Palace or Nirvana in Fire or most of the great historical and wuxia/xianxia dramas we love, most of which span 50-70 episodes ( and you can still feel they were rushed and cut in some places).

I loved this but the ending felt a little abrupt. We've been following his athletic journey and dreams from the start we should've gotten a look at some of his achievements in the future. Maybe some of it was cut ? Especially since the drama was set in 2015, I thought they did that to give us his growth and then him participating in the olympics of 2020. It feels like no matter how much I enjoy a chinese drama the ending is almost always like this and it's getting to be very annoying.

It's funny ( in a depressing kind of way ) that one of the few korean shows this year that is mainly about a romance is actually...not. With kdramas getting swallowed up by westernization and churning out endless medicore crime shows in the last couple of years , we've had very few romcoms/ generally focused on romance kdramas as it is. We really didn't need this show pulling a switcheroo on us.

A lovely imperfect slice of life . Gorgeous food, beautiful scenery, great characters and wonderful loving relationships. The most stress free show I've ever watched, no random crazy characters that make no sense, no sudden turns that ruin the entire thing. It could've been a hundred episodes and I would've watched them all. Also the couple get married half way through and then you get to watch them love and support each other through everything. A thoughtful delightful production.

The rare few times kdramas try to do fantasy it goes to sh*t, this and arthdal chronical had such potential (although that one may yet still be salvaged). I understand that it's expensive as hell but holy crap do we need more fantasy, more scifi, more historical dramas from SK. This year alone we had like 38279 law dramas and practically 2 of them were good.

I hope the writers get to tell the entirety of their story and end it how they want. They deserve it because they're unequivocally the best korean historical drama writers, not only did they write the masterpiece that is six flying dragons but they also wrote queen seon duk, tree with deep roots and jewel in the palace.

On Dine with Love Nov 20, 2022
It's been a long time since a drama pissed me off this much. So many writers end up competely misuderstanding what it is that viewers are actually enjoying about a show and opt for manufactured out of character melodrama to stretch things out and it ends up ruining the entire thing. By the end I didn't even want the couple I spent the entire drama rooting for to end up together. If your main couple which took up 90% of the first 13 episodes spend 5 minutes together in the last 3 episodes then you don't know what the hell you're doing. I honestly just want to scrub the entire thing out of my brain.

On She and Her Perfect Husband Nov 19, 2022
I'm honestly laughing at seeing people crying screaming throwing up at a 9 year age gap (irl) , like... That's nothing and also he's an adult, we have similar or bigger age gaps where the man is older and it's not a plot point much less even mentioned in the drama. I know our society as a whole is still deeply misogynistic and people still react badly when an older woman dates a younger man when they don't even blink at 50 yo men going out with 20 yo women and that's a whole different can of worms but this is a drama just let people enjoy what they want.

On Love between Fairy and Devil Nov 19, 2022
This drama did SO many things right. Just from a writing standpoint, every single character was complex and had motivations that made sense, some characters were motivated by selfish love, some by their duty and their love for their people, others by self preservation and everyone grew in believable ways, the conflict between the two tribes was so well thought out and it showed the casualties of war and that nothing is as black and white as it might seem. The OTP was magnificent, Hades and Persephone, Romeo and Juliet, they had chemistry, they fell in love slowly but surely but once they were in they became one of the most devoted otps I've ever seen. You can tell that this drama was made with so much love and care from the gorgeous opening art, to the beautiful music, to the costumes and the special effects and the sets they built, even the smallest things and details stood out. Everyone who worked on this deserves a standing ovation, I don't think I have ever seen such a thoughtful meticulous production. It's probably the first show I've watched, chinese or otherwise that felt like a fully and completely realized fantasy world. It wasn't perfect especially since I wish we had more from the ending but I'm thinking that might have been a censorship issue and not the creators fault.

I am still enjoying this show but it feels like I'm watching a different drama? It's turned into a drama about the workings of a dating show with a tiny dose of maybe bffs to lovers. The leads have barely spent 5 minutes together in 4 episodes. I like the reality show setting and I genuinely enjoy all the characters but this isn't the romcom that we started with now, is it?

I feel bad for all the people that worked so hard on this and then it just got shelved and released on amazon without anyone knowing about it. Especially the writer who's fantastic and has written some amazing shows including age of youth, diary ofa prosecutor, alone in love and evasive enquiry agency. All of her works have such care and soul to them, you can tell she poured everything into them. Hopefully she comes back with something equally great.

Kang so ra is fantastic and has been missed, Jang seung jo was also great in the few roles I've seen him in. Please be good, we have very few romance korean shows these days as it is.

A straight up romcom? In this day and age of endless copy paste medicore thriller/legal kdramas (some of my favorite dramas are of these genres and have zero romance but like they should actually be good...) ? Love that for me.

Holy sh*t, the trailer is SO good. The fantasy genre is something kdramas almost never do and with this cast the potential is endless, please be good.
