Wei Ying Luo is truly the baddest bitch on the block. So so smart, so cunning, so devoted to the people she loves. The only one that rivals her is Ming Lan, these two have ruined other female leads for me, now everytime I'm watching a chinese drama all I can think is YL/ML would never fall for this or YL/ML would never let this happen .

Title Love Is for Suckers Spoiler
I want to understand Yeo rum but I'm not very clear on her motivations, she said the kiss rattled her brain and her heart in that monologue unlike the countless others that meant nothing. I also understand that the entire thing is very complicated, they're bffs who have known each other for more than 20 years, Ji yeon asked her to let him go if she doesn't like him, the entire reality show thing, her just ending a relationship at the aisle but they're not showing us exactly why she said no, I'm hoping they're going to make it clear later bc they didn't actually show us or explain to us why she did that when she clearly has strong feelings for him.

That monologue about kissing in the first 5 minutes was fantastic. It was surprisingly heartfelt and insightful, more to the point it showed us how special and different these two people are to each other. This show's premise is deceptively simple yet it's doing some very unique things with it.

This drama kind of ruined other shows of this genre for me, there were so many smart characters, especially the leads who were borderline geniuses and everyone was playing three dimensional chess with each other in a way that came across as real, as in we were shown not told how intelligent these people actually were, some of the schemes they came up with were masterful and everything was so well thought out (kudos to the novel writer and the people who adapted it because you have to actually be smart to think up things like that). Not to mention that it was a very thoughtful slice of life for the most part, with characters that all felt like people down to the smallest roles, the beautiful complex relationships, the wonderful love story that took its time to develop until you could see why these two people were soulmates who were perfect for each other. I read somewhere that it was supposed to be 100 episodes and they cut it because they felt it was too long and I would honestly pay money to get the rest of those episodes.

Cha eun woo acting opposite Lee da hee, sung joon AND kim nam gil ( all fantastic actors who have proven their worth multiple times over) in something that looks like it's going to require major acting chops, this is going to be...interesting.

I am truly enjoying this show, it feels like a classic romcom with great chemistry but at the same time it feels so refreshing and genuine in the way that it chooses to portray its characters and relationships from the main leads to the smallest secondary characters.

Why do we always feel the need to disparage romance whenever someone *dares* to say they want to see it happen in the comments of a particular drama. There's nothing wrong with people wanting to see a romantic relationship in a show when they feel there is chemistry or potential, romance isn't inherently a bad thing, it's not a dirty word. This weird narrative that it is somehow less than is very disconcerting because it's quite rampant in all formats of media and is inextricably linked to the fact that women make up the vast majority when it comes to who enjoys love stories. Female interests are rarely given validity, often deemed inane and vapid and the entire practice is deeply rooted in misogyny and sexism. Every piece of media no matter what genre it might fall under ultimately hinges on its relationships and its characters and romantic love is a big part of that. No, romance doesn't need to be in everything and no one wants it to and yes, some people might not like it as much as others and that's completely okay but to treat it as an inferior classification altogether especially in a medium that was virtually built on its back is fairly disappointing. The world is a bleak place right now just let people find comfort and pleasure in the things they want.

Person Lee Soo Hyuk
This man is wasted, even the roles he gets they never give him enough to do. He was wasted in doom at your service ( as was Kang tae oh, I can't believe they had those two in the same drama and did next to nothing with them), he was wasted in Tomorrow. I really hope he gets a drama that raises him to stardom, he has such a unique presence and look and is a wonderful actor.

I trust these writers because they did jewel of the palace, tree with deep roots, queen seon dook AND six flying dragons which is arguably the best sageuk and one of the best pieces of historical fiction of all time but this time they need to film the last 2 seasons back to back, Shin se kyung and Lee joon gi are both very successful and will 100% be doing other stuff if they wait another couple of years to do S3.

Ji sung always delivers but I also hope the female leads are actually important to the story and not just window dressing like they are in a lot of dramas of this genre.

What a lovely, lovely drama. I adore shows like this that are just good people being kind and supportive of each other, it's a pity there are so few of them.

No no, they actually got the original writer back for season 2, and replaced the director who caused the change…
Yeah that's the name here I hope it's true. It's so funny in a messed up way that kicked the writer off their own show and then brought them back for season 2 like.... you just realized he was the crucial reason the drama was so well received.

Young Woo: Graduates first from the best law school in the country, gets an almost perfect grade on the bar exam, is a huge reason they win most of the cases at the law firm.
Min Woo:
Min Woo: Is this unfair treatment and hiring? (dumbass staring at a butterfly asking is this a pigeon meme).

Min woo would be justified in his bullsh*t if Woo young hadn't been 100 times more qualified than him or almost anyone else to get hired into any law firm she wants. He would justified if she wasn't crucial in winning almost all of the cases they've taken on so far. He would be justified if she didn't work herself to the bone just like the rest of them. The only reason he's being like this is because he views her as inferior due to her autism so the fact that she's a much smarter better lawyer isn't something he can stand. If the ONLY thing that was different about WY was that she wasn't autistic I guarantee he wouldn't be acting like this.

These are the writers who did giant and history of salaryman which were stellar but their last couple of dramas were... not great imo so hopefully this is a return to form.
