Yes, do give other Luo Yunxi dramas a chance. He is one of my favorite actors and his performance has always been a highlight even when scripts have been lacking. (I love him more in costumes tho 😉)
Bai Lu is also another favorite of mine.
If you’re into costume dramas specifically xianxia, then you can give their other drama a chance. “Till The End of The Moon”
Just to address your 4th comment, the script absolutely dropped the ball with the character and you’ll understand what I mean (and esp my last paragraph in the review) when you finish the drama. They could have done so much better with that character but didn’t.

I have read it and I don’t have a problem with it. You’re right, it’s not as toxic but definitely has dub-con/non-con elements in it. My comment was more as a PSA to those who might not like a less “clean” interaction. (It’s kind of a thing people will start watching somethings and get upset by the elements in it. I’m hoping to help them avoid such situations.)

Between now and July 11 I’m going to be here periodically reminding people that the source material has toxic/dub-con/non-con elements and I’m not sure how much of it is included in the adaptation. Please, please take that into consideration before watching. For all our sakes.

The production is definitely A category though I heard 👖 spent a decent change promoting it. I think this is just the rating from post airing data 云合 collects and rates to signify the dramas success.

Her problem is usually when she plays stoic/cold/serious type of characters. Those areas are really not her forte. The expressions are always a fail. She does better when she plays delicate and soft characters like this.
