Also that first kiss seems more explorative than lustful. Like he's coming to terms with his attraction towards Porsche and is kinda testing the waters... I loved the shocked look on his face in the bathroom scene when he discovers Porsche has regained his memory of the kiss. haha In that scene you can tell he wasn't even planning on having a physical relationship with Porsche yet and was kinda thrown for a loop by his aggression even though he (Kinn) was aware the drugs were making him (Porsche) lose his inhibitions. So excited for more of everyone. The entire cast is stellar in their roles.

Yeah that's what I don't understand. Criticize and comment on a show based on its merits all you want but not its content. There are other things to watch if these things bother you. Why put yourself through the pain then complain that something hurts?

I'm a masochist and i honestly can't wait till we get to that part in the show. It broke my heart reading about his pain and confusion... I hope they depict it all really well.

It's not love yet I don't think. . He's attracted and drawn to Porsche's "don't give a damn attitude" which also pisses him off since no one else dares to act that way with him. It's a strange turn on for him. And then of course throw in the fact that Porsche is very good looking...

Sighhh here I am with what's going to be another long post. Since I've read a lot of the novel I definitely wanted a darker edged, grittier show than I'm getting so far but you know what, if I had an alternate dream adaptation this would be it. it's way more comedic in tone than the novel but at least the funny parts are landing just right and the show is just all around so well done. I cannot complain.

I do still want a more badass, domineering a-hole Kinn I won't lie. In the novel those characteristics and traits of his just made their dynamic as a couple that much more volatile and interesting. That being said I am still immensely enjoying this show sooo much and glad I decided not to wait to binge it. The drama is heightened by having to wait weekly for a new episode and usually I just don't have the patience lol This episode once again definitely delivered.

As for the bathroom scene... let me catch my breath... they brought the heat. Kinn's vulnerability and reluctance to accept that yes he is attracted to Porsche juxtaposed with his yearning, Porsche's teasing playfulness, the sensuality and undeniable sexual energy in the air... just HOT.

And for those saying this is rape...umm Porsche is lucid enough to know who he is with, and to remember the kiss on the pier that occurred days ago. Despite the effects of the drug on his body his mind is alert enough to know and understand what's happening. And IF he was not then that's how the creator of the story decided to write it. Your outrage does not outweigh her poetic license. Comment all you want, that's why this section exists but quit with the belligerent anger and trying to rewrite people's art because it doesn't live up to your moral standards.

TWs, Tags, reviews and warnings exist now. They are there to guide you away from things you may find offensive. Curate your viewing accordingly. Don't go to a steak house and complain all you get on the menu is meat. Say the meat is stringy and tasteless but don't cry and complain that there's nothing but meat. And yes, I liked this meat.

Same. The novel is so gritty and their relationship is volatile and tempestuous. I'm hoping they don't entirely white wash the show in the name of political correctness. It would be a disappointment to see a tale of crime and lust and passion become some sickly sweet romance. Like you said, we have enough of those and most BL adaptations always seem to leave out the darker edges/events of the original work.

For some people I will give them the benefit of the doubt that they are not hateful: it's going to take time for them to evolve and come to terms with the changing idea's about gender because they are just not used to it or are clinging on to old ideals and tradition/religion etc. My problem with the hate this show gets is the people who consider themselves (at least in their comments) advocates of the LGBTQ community and think this show is making a mockery out of it just because it's depicting the more effeminate side of gay men. It is a hilarious comedy that's obviously not up it's own ass and being funny does not belittle the community. It's like lighten up people! Sheesh.

I'm always baffled by people complaining about non perfect characters. I mean what are you THINKING humans are? Not one of us is without flaws. And yes, every single relationship has its own dynamic. If you're not the one in it, why are you trying to define someone else's boundaries etc?

I rarely comment but when I do it always ends up being long paragraphs, probably from holding stuff in for too long. haha I'm just glad that there seem to be many who enjoy and understand the show and what it's doing in terms of changing perceptions on what a bl lead should look like.
