Your calculations are based on averages. Some people live longer than average, others live shorter than average. It appears HER 19 lives ended up averaging out to 50 years per life, for a total of roughly <1000 years.

Also, she doesn't 'reborn' right away, each time. There are times when there is some passage of time in between each rebirth. In the webtoon, she mentioned that she rebirthed quite quickly from her 18th to 19th life (roughly 0-1 years). She may've only lived to be 12 years old (in her 18th life as Joo Won) but 90 in another, averaging out to 50 even just between 2 life spans. It just all added up to <1000 some years.

It appears that the gap between 17th to 18th is a bit longer, seeing as Joo Won (18th life) is significantly younger than her niece (whom she was an Uncle to, during her 17th life).

(So... Kind of think: K-drama 'Hotel Del Luna' how they "move-on" and will reborn at some point in time in the future. It's not for certain when. Lots of shows/movies use this concept too.)

Most of her lives may be towards higher life expectancy days, and she may have had good genetics (and luck, circumstances, etc) to account for her longer life span too. :D

Kids get around by public transport system (busses, subway/train, taxi) without an adult - parents are busy working. Public transportation is reliable and quite safe due to the abundance of CCTV and people walking around at all hours of the day. Ex: Kids finish their hakwon (private lesson) classes at 9-10PM. Education system in Korea is very touch on kids there.. but I digress >.<

- ML suddenly has a step-mom? I don’t remember a step-mom from the webtoon story. ML doesn’t like her, and wants her out of the family business (which she has changed-up alot since she took over his mother’s original position at the hotel)


Drama spoilers:

If i remember correctly, ji eum saved up money and barely got enough to visit seo ha ONCE (that bench scene). Here, she seeks out help from the niece from her 17th life niece (the restaurant ajumma) and they basically live together. She was able to “visit him” from afar several times.. but no direct contact ((unless future episodes include that bench scene)).. however, it just showed her following him from a distance until one-day he completely disappeared for years+

I don’t know how to feel about this change. In webtoon, she managed to scrape up funds to see Seo Ha ONE-TIMe, promised to come back to see him again but her family stole money from her and she was unable to do so again. So when she meets Seo Ha in her new 19th life as Ji Eum, she was able to say she’d met him before, to think hard about when. In the webtoon, it was like: she could be talking about both 18th life! But later it was revealed that she’d visited him that one-time. Here, she watched over him (stalked?) from afar. I’m hoping they do add the bench scene lol… but the promise-thing is out the window (since she was raised by the ajumma, had plenty of money to keep going back to watch him). Meh >_< These 2 things were the only larger changes. Different direction or expression of events, I suppose

They changed him into a stereotypical kdrama all-business, cold dad. I liked ML’s dad in the webtoon more.. he cared about ML but was on the colder, stricter-side of expressing that concern, distant, perhaps changed that way due to his wife (ML’s mother) death

In her 18th life, Seo Ha and Joo Won (FL) were 3 years apart in age (she was 12, he was 8). At the time, she hadn’t fallen in love with him in a romantic sense! It was actually Seo Ha (ML) that crushed on her! You’ll see as the story progresses and more flashbacks are shown :)

Now, present-day FL (as Ji Eum) is about 9 years younger than him.

This episode was all background & character building..! They interacted for only a good <4 minutes lol

Same.. Wish they'd gone a cooler (and darker) shade of brown, at least, to match Hye Sun's cool tone skin complexion. She's still beautiful, but the orange hair color clashes; it also looks like an at-home-dye attempt rather than professionally done color.

She kind of seems to lack self-awareness. Yes, it's her bubbly-ness and friendliness, yet she doesn't seem to notice how her actions affect (confuse, irritate, etc) others around her. She says things without thinking twice. I hate to say it, but she gives me "pick me girl" vibes. I'm sure she's a nice person, but she's sending the WRONG MESSAGES D:

Is FL like the girl, Hana, in 대행사(Agency) Kdrama - rich, spoiled, has attitude, wants to prove herself, strong ego, learns over time how to become more skilled for her role in the company despite being a ‘parachute’/nepotism hire?

Hana became more likable as the drama progressed. Maybe the FL in Here We Meet Again is like that too? Or does she stay unlikable and unrelatable?

I read the novel before watching the movie, but had heard long in advance how the story will be tear-jerking. Even going into it KNOWING it’ll be sad, the novel broke me :(( I was in tears for the last 25-30% of the book. I watched the movie, thinking I’ll be OK cause I know what’s going to happen already. Nope. Intro scene, flashbacks of the novel in my mind, and I ended up crying again. This is definitely a ‘tragedy’ tag…

Not me scared for all the cute scenes in the webtoons getting skipped D: Nuuuu

As far as drama adaptations for popular webtoons, some are hits while others are misses. :/ Let's hope this one does the original justice.
