Yes it's good, except the mom is a really good show
She loves her son but is abusive (emotionally and physically). She has good intentions, but cruel actions. This could be a trigger for those who suffered emotional neglect or abuse by their parents. The drama nonchalantly depicts emotional abuse.
how long will Kang ho act like an 7 year old, when does he get better?
We don't know yet, the series hasn't ended. He hasn't gotten better (end of Episode 10, even). He frequently gets flashbacks of his past memories, but nothing complete.
that’s for some moms. I’m also Asian too but the things my mum has done it has affected me mentally, physically…
I recommend Lindsay C. Gibson's "Recovering from Emotionally Immature Parents: Practical Tools to Establish Boundaries & Reclaim Your Emotional Autonomy" :)
i don't think she deserves to be defended, i wish everyone would just agree that the way she treated kangho throughout…
Have you read "Recovering from Emotionally Immature Parents" by Lindsay C. Gibson, PsyD?
ML's mother was likely emotionally neglected (abused) herself. Happens a lot in Asian households. Good intentions, love/care, but still.. their actions and words and failure to act can be traumatic to loved ones.
Today's epi baiscally had nothing. All just flashbacks. Felt quite redundant, and then they will put everything…
Right? Sometimes the flashbacks feel unnecessary. We aren't stupid. Most of us knew ML is the kids' father. We didn't need to be "walked-through" their entire past. I wanted to see what happened after the bad guys attacked ML & his mom. Instead, we got lengthy story telling OTL
It reminds me of the "Penthouse" series where the beginning 10-20 minutes of every episode (in the newer seasons, especially) would just be a massive FLASHBACK with the story told in a different perspective (POV). Sometimes it is refreshing to see; other times it is redundant and simply eats up screen time.
I recommend Lindsay C. Gibson's "Recovering from Emotionally Immature Parents: Practical Tools to Establish Boundaries…
ML's mother has definitely emotionally neglected and emotionally abused him. She could have the most best intentions for him, but she's still wrong.
Some quotes from the book:
"The intense reactivity of EI (emotionally immature) parents trains their children to be inhibited, passive, and acquiescent instead of nurturing their individuality and trust in others. In order to get along with these parents, it's easier in the short run to tune out who you really are and what you relaly want. But in the long run, you end up burdened by obligation, guilt, shame, and feeling trapped in your family role." (p.2)
"EI parents don't just act wounded or abandoned if you can't help. THey'll quickly become angry or outraged if you don't comply. First they play on your sympathies, then they threaten you with their displeasure. If you don't jump to make them feel better right away, they act insulted and accuse you of being heartless. You are branded a selfish, unreliable person for anything less than making their issues your most important concern." (p.20)
Also.. Emotionally immature parents almost always were emotionally neglected themselves - much like the cycle of abuse (ie. victims of abuse later ending up as offenders, abusers to their own children).
ML's mother may have been emotionally neglected herself. And the whole situation with her husband (his dad) may have contributed on top of that.
the mum is a walking contradiction, she raised her child in an abusive manner and don't let him have any autonomy…

I can't relate with the mother at all, i found her character so annoying during the entire show. She destroyed…
She repeated her mistakes too when he came back. She sees the effect she had on him, yet she's certain her way is the right way. She says "sorry," yet does the same thing over again.
People do this all the time on YouTube - they express their gratitude to the fans that contribute translations (subtitles) - and it's not a big deal. YouTube allows YouTubers to enable volunteers to translate their content!
If volunteers want to contribute translations for free, then it is ALL GOOD. I've volunteered as a Korean-English translator on numerous outlets. Not once is it a problem because I receive an intrinsic reward (knowing I used my skills to help others, etc). & time wasn't volunteered to get monetary payment! Both sides understand this.
Why are third parties creating so much noise? They've got nothing to do with this exchange.
she could have copied it on the laptop or her son has.
That's true > < But I have a feeling she didn't, given the fierce look in her eyes. Also the fact that Korean T.V. crime-solving shows often stress how important it is for a file (or evidence material) to be the 'original copy'
Ex: Korean dramas where evidence is stored on a USB drive. Criminals are always trying to get rid of the 'original copy' version o_O Idk if this has to do with evidence permissibility in court or just cause they want to eradicate ALL copies of that evidence.
Also - The boat guy killed the mother and child. -_- So messed up. He came across as a nice guy too.
Last scene where it shows a passerby discovering - skull(s) drifting in the water - yellow/white striped bag or cloth material in the water, same one as the woman was clutching in the car
Maybe it wasn't the man on the boat, but he's literally the last person we see entrusted with the mother & child...
If only she didn't destroy the file that would help prove his innocence...! I understand her intentions but there is a reason why he left that SD Card with her for safekeeping.
