Title Love for You Spoiler
Ep21, chen yi is just too deep in this organised crime. I am getting scared for him. Really. He in order to protect…
The whole scrap thing, miao jing tried to use a car accident to track down the driver and get it noted that it's indeed huoyun logistics who is doing money laundering as that truck nameplate was never registered in the name of the company assets but Ting's name. So how come a personal asset( as ting is not owner or ceo of company neither major stakeholders) can leave a fleet for Linehaul? It doesn't make sense unless they are hiding something i.e. exposing issue and mismatch in fleet and Linehaul. So indirectly exposing money laundering.

But taking this rash decision means directly exposing oneself means life threat. So chen yi step up. He told miao jing to go from police station. He confronted driver that loss is paid and he handled situation. But as Bai understood that is not scrap incident. Chen yi said that project lead Dong under the supervision of audit company has filed case. Dong is just a scapegoat here he was not trusted by cen ye nor by Zhang. As he only cared about money. Which he was getting. Just like that he handled miao jing safely, eased the sus of Bai. And after showing customer transaction history that project lead guy has taken money from huoyun logistics to keep his mouth shut in audit or even help them. Chen yi further played hero by saying that because of him he is not in jail. And that's how he made project lead understood that if he wants to live then resign. Kinda it actually helped project lead guy to save his life. Zhang bin will no longer pursue him. But chen yi protected miao jing safely here. He became one from both sides. Which is dangerous.

Adding to more danger when zhang bin called him, he ques how did he know all this when all the truck license are under Bai name? Which is valid ques from his side. So chen yi said he has sus over Bai and that's why he interfered. But we also got to know Zhai is dead. So chen yi didn't accompanied Zhai to Jin country. But he killed him ig. But why? Did he knew chen yi identity? Or its because zhang bin told? Or chen yi had to do that time because of tax invasion scam and arson case? Or what? We don't know.

But down side is that zhang bin transferred all the trucks with illegal works under chen yi name which is frightening. He is in big danger. He can actually get jailed for lifetime. Plus zhang bin don't even want chen yi to hold the control of fleet but also his crime partner. So even bigger things..

The only part less convincing here is that zhang bin got sold by chen yi story that project lead can't stay as he understood the nameplate scam and he don't want money but out. Which is less convincing to me as he already took lots of money so why not? Maybe it's too dangerous and he actually wanted a way out. So zhang bin got sold..

Title Love for You
Ep21, chen yi is just too deep in this organised crime. I am getting scared for him. Really. He in order to protect Miao Jing, he is just going deeper and deeper and my heart cant take it. I am very much scared. Just how much he love miao jing? God. No even "lovers" don't do this much for each other. He in true sense has considered Miao Jing as her one and only family and home. She is his only home. But even home is peaceful. I don't know how to even label their bond. It goes beyond family, love, home. It's something way beyond whose labels or word is not yet defined in any emotion exist till now for me. God. Chen yi is the one who is in danger and here i am crying.

I was just checking the comment section before starting the drama, and honestly, is it really that bad? I remember…
Hmm. Some points i clearly agree with u. I do agree dramas few years ago were of high quality. Because they used to produce dramas with brains. The used to prefer logic even in romance centric dramas sometimes. Then that time audience were mostly chinese people only. So they kind of make it palatable for their audience I mean take " Long Ballad" as example. Second they did not shy away in showing diff types of themes and harsher reality.

Now with Covid and this whole globalization of contents in global streaming platform boomed their international market. And internationally people are generally certain group of people who enjoy cdramas. One who are looking for overall storytelling and actual good plot that's why some dramas requiring high concentrations and not only romance are still doing good like "the twelve letters", "swords into plowshare", " the double" but second group of people who wants more of loyalty, romance, fluff and sometimes go as beyond as being illogical but who cares as long as it's feeding fantasy. But they are appreciated more.

Both are not wrong. Both are equally right and complement each other. The problem arises when fluffy, fantasy and fanfic( serving their dreams) started to dominate so much that the dramas that actually shows reality and harsher truth and deflect from the ideal world is considered soo wrong and gets soo much hatred that those dramas stopped coming in no.

As i said none of the audience are wrong with their pov. But the screenwriter while telling the story specially with wuxia dramas they want to maintain balance so as to hold both audience....but they tested the international audience and mostly romance sells with idealistic FL and ML with no flaws or yearning story... adaptations gets compromised. While u can't show everything true to novel. But adaptations become so diff from the novel that sometimes if not done well then it lost its original work essence.

it really feels like some of you watch dramas just to stare at your favourite actors and don't care about the…
Offtopic. Ur exclamation mark is 5 in no not 4.πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ Sorry.

I agree what u said. Somehow didn't they got a very good drama about all angle beautiful actor face thing in Overdo? Still not satisfied how about whenever ML appears pause the screen and watch him with all diff angles? Why hurt the story which is at begining and ML is going to come at upcoming ep???

These days i find MDL comments too funny. If relaxes my mind after work because somehow topics will always get deviated from story, acting, drama to always chemistry, romance, who is more pretty than whom, who is old and who is not. And the story goes on.......

you mean superhero movies like this? 🀣🀣https://youtu.be/L7Y0ucw7bGk?si=JOcJv5lAMsbT4Ek6&t=20
No no. I am all in for strong independent women. But it should not hurt the story. Here, the story is still building it's foundation. It will not be at expense of ML. I think so. It's wrong to expect ML to appear in story much when it's clearly not his time. Because some stories start somewhere and they interlinked and gets merged along the way. The salt dealer part is big ig. But it will come for sure. Afterall they can't develop romance without ML right? Additionally even ML is not here to just serve looks and play romance. He too has bg. Hopefully story tells later. Fingers crossed 🀞

why are people so annoying omfg this is an adaptation of a female centric novel so are quite litterally 9 out…
Sigh. It's hard for even fictional women. Too feminist? Yes bring down. Too weak. Yes bring down. Too normal . Yes bring down. While i get it that most people are here to watch DYX( secretly i also am because somehow after Love Game in Eastern fantasy and after Nanyang Mystery he absolutely won my heart). FL centric dramas were often has to accompanied by the ML having strong romance and they should also be powerful. But ig it's ok to let FL shine. Not ur cup of tea move on. Lots of dramas are there not to mention Nirvana in Fire sitting in cdrama world top no. One can always watch that. No one complained in ML oriented story ohhh to ML focused. Suddenly reverse gender and wow boom. Some people vomited even in Royal Bethoral when that drama is actually in pure sense marketed as FL centric story. Not everything has to be reduced to chemistry, swooning over gege, romance, strong ML. It's ok if thr series is Female centric. Just market it like that. Ig as per comments ML will appear in later ep. Which is ok.

How about people start seeing even in less screen time how much his presence is impacting FL and overall story? Maybe his less screen time is carefully written in earlier ep because they want more FL concentration first and later how they both resolve their problems?

How about people keep patience and wait a little longer. Which somehow is declining in digital world.

Never intended to really watch this but bc the leads are coming out with a new drama soon, I decided to give it…
Hey!!! I know it's a late reply. But voice actors exist to make pronounciations clear and able to convey their msg in different parts of China which comes with lots of accents. It is also to assure am actor voice is free of accent or have the accent that story requires. Plus, given that most people speak Modern Chinese daily rather than Traditional or Classic Chinese...it's hard to bring out the speak without errors and bring out same emotions while focusing on acting historical dramas bring. Not to mention historical drama acting requires one to act like that their behaviour, posture and not just say and act with expressions. It's a lot of work.

While Ding Yuxi voice is good. Sometimes story demands bold and yet strong voice. Maybe that's why I can give this as the only reason for dubbing his voice. I mean he can always start giving his own voice in modern dramas as they require less effort to test waters among public acceptance and then eventually move forward to even historical dramas as well.

Btw even I just landed this page from "The road to the splendor".

Ep6, i feel she overstepped her boundaries. Idk how but she was able to pledge for zhang mei er swift death? Is she eligible and to whom she pledged? Because she never wrote any letter or met king.

She sounded little bit hurt when she knew he told his minister that he will let her go if she recovered. Misunderstanding. Emperor said to calm down the minister and avoid the unnecessary talks about them but she took otherwise. Which i understand as a normal person. But she is smart that she was able to calculate the plotting behind the whole exam scam. So i don't understand how she didn't understood this. Maybe heart overpowered her thoughts.

I also think meng ting hui has started liking he du. She called him when she was awaken from her dream and she smiled at him or whenever anyone mentioned his name

Tbh in ep6, she acted so full of herself. I didn't liked it. I get strong stand and reckless behaviour but the whole handling of exam scam thing i didn't liked how she acted. No harsh feelings towards her.

Ig it's time for me to finally shut down my brain and watch this drama. Because sometimes when story starts giving u less logical based story then u need to adjust accordingly and I like it if i have to shut my brain. I need relaxation. I am draining myself too much with all the serious dramas going on these days to the point.

entschuldige die stΓΆrungdu hast da ewas verdrehtHis coping mechanisms that "death is more painful than missing"…
Note:- Sorry in advance. As this is a very very very long reply. πŸ˜…

I will reply in English. So as to avoid the translation error from Google translate and keep the emotion of what i am speaking as it is.

I find ur pov of Diao Chin very interesting. Maybe it looked like he overstepped boundaries sometimes and took actions like he wanted. But the special bday dinner I read it very differently. For me it was indeed not a grade celebration dinner but a bday celebration cum kind of date. He ordered special bday hotpot for two because in the same restaurant as he booked earlier before chia yi declined him exactly because it's his bday. It got confirmed when waiter gave him supplementary bday cake. He wanted to celebrate his bday with him. He knew Chia Yi will not come but a human nature "what if?", what if Chia Yi cancells his plan suddenly with Yen Kai and come to the same place?. Hope. That's what he has despite knowing his wishes will not come true. That's why he was not utterly sad but he indeed was sad as what he planned didn't went like that and he felt loneliness according to me.

I agree with u that should have kept Diao Chin as his friend and I can't help but find a major flaw in how series itself is confusing and execution. In my opinion, i think writer wanted to show how even after loosing someone u can still open ur heart to smile and move on. Maybe in future the romance arc? That's what I infer from series.

"death is more painful than missing"- The English and translation I followed indeed said the exact same line as after reading your comments i cross checked it. Maybe to confirm this we need to check literal Chinese sentence. If you are referring to literal Chinese translation coming out as complete opposite then story changes.

And I didn't even doubt the above English translation because just before that they were saying "Galu is a happy/ cute cat, he will sneak out before dying" then Yen Kai questioned "why?" to which he replied the same. Plus, If i remember correctly when Yen Kai died, Chia Yi used to send him msg every day and creates the illusion of him going on long leave when he knew Yen Kai died in front of him. He was using the same coping mechanism " missing is less painful" because that time he was having hard time in accepting the truth despite seeing accident in front of his own eyes that he is no more. That's why his own coping mechanisms was always challenged. He thought it worked earlier with his parents and uncle so this time also it will work. But life is teaching him lesson to accept truth that u lost someone.

I think healing arc is present just very underdeveloped here. That's why sometimes it can feel it's not present even in first place. But it's there for me. For me, healing from loss is not a journey to completely get over with the sadness that time. Its about u can still carry sadness within urself about loss and still move on with life. Same theory and msg just like Yen Kai engraved in the guitar he gifted to Chia Yi. It also comes in phases- Shock about what happened, Acceptance, Grief, Numbing the pain, Embracing the loss slowly by remembering them in your memory and heart but not letting that grief controlling your life.

Allow me to decode it:-
When Yen Kai died he was at shock that time "like what just happened and did my eyes see correctly?" . I know that actor is not good with expression but his eyes biggen a bit that time to me it tells shock.

Then whole time denial of that truth. He was grieving also that time. Constantly zoning out, feelings numb. It's like why did it happened again to me. How to survive another loss of his beloved. Evidence:- when he saw call from Yen Kai he was not able to believe it and was happy. But then he realised that it was Yen Kai's dad who called him.

Acceptance:- When Yen Kai's cousin and his dad both confirmed that he was special to Yen Kai and was happiest with him. He got the ans of his unresolved love feelings. That words engraved in guitar is like Yen Kai telling him "allow me to seep into ur mind as a good memory when I am not there with you"( not literal but whole gist) forcing Chia Yi to accept truth. But the truth was heavy. After that every road he walked on with him on that same accident day flashbacked his memory of him lying dead in front of his eyes. He can't help but cry in pain with overwhelming feelings. Like panic attacks.

Grief-While i do accept that story did turned everything into light hearted reunion of band for the whole purpose of giving him farewell with Yen Kai's last song. But it's a goodbye from Chia Yi as well. It also gave him a purpose to carry on with life. He was slowly recovering from his grief by using music. Just it happened so fast that I am still angry with how they handled it.

But at the same time he was still grieving. He was very sensitive. If any talk reminds him of Yen Kai or his actions he used to start feeling teary and overwhelmed. I get him here as a person who also was once in his position. Just that for me grieving lasted 5 years and him literally no time. πŸ˜‘ Here ur point of Diao Chin acting according to his whishes becomes valid. But i still saw him as a friend who also loved him who is trying to help Chia Yi to help him in this journey.

That last song and healing journey- Well. The last song was indeed a closure to both chia yi and yen kai and reminder "Life must go on". But even if writers forced love between Chia Yi and Diao Chin, for me Chia Yi never got completely healed and he was needed time. He decision of studying abroad tells is also the mix of this emotion to confirm me that.

That's why I thought in my opinion Diao Chin was waiting even after series ended that someday maybe Chia Yi can accept him. Like he said. Chia Yi throughout still healing.

I do respect ur opinion and i recognise we are two different people with two different thoughts and pov so it's ok even if we disagree.

Tea time!As an American (I hate Tr*mp more than you do), I am ignorant of most everything outside US borders.I…
As a cdrama fan i can attest this. They drink tea like water. They take tea even after dinner. They actually have diff types of tea and till now u can see it's influence when people order pu'er tea and their tea leaves are generally light( one time use) compared to Black tea leaves ( which can be used and reused again). They also have diff techniques for the cultivation of tea. Gifting tea set is a huge culture there even today. They take out their precious tea leaves like people treasure wine in other countries.

Also the fact of hot water is true. In most cdrama i have watched they even at home drink hot water mostly. Idk if it has to do with harsh weather climate during winters? Because the siberian cold winds directly flow into their mainland without any big and major geographical barriers like Himalayas.

But it's also very interesting tea cultivation although happens in hilly areas, tea leaves based on type of tea generally demands mild climate. Too hot or too cold will make the crop fail. Idk about their cultivation techniques. But it's very technical in nature. Even their tea brewing techniques are little bit diff from my country.

I just started ep1 so i can't say how much the drama showed this correctly. But surprisingly I can tell u for sure that that's how real tea plantations and mountain vibe shown in that area looks like.

PS- As a cdrama addict person, seeing them drinking tea even I got influenced a lot and tried and found some of my fav herbal tea. And now i wait for years to order a rose tea pack from Amazon because it's not easily available in my area. I have to make myself satisfy with hibiscus tea, tulsi mulethi tea and chamomile tea( anyone suffering from insomnia should try this. It works 100 percent for me).

PS PS- IF u search, they even have lots of cdrama dedicated to tea culture.

Hmm. Interesting. Leading an army yes they don't. But king always wanted to keep military power to themselves. And if they give power to military commander then they must be faithful person. This fear was depicted so beautifully in " one and only". It actually helped me in understanding history better after I watched that drama and then re read history to get the ans of why?

Major Opera ation- hmm, yes could be afterall if by chance enemies knew king location in public it's easy to attack rather than in palace. It's definitely not safe and required s high skilled person beside him all the time. Almost Same like how it's shown here.

Why can't u make ur comments post in discussion forum? It's like a story that future watcher like me can read…
Hmm. I am more fascinated by her writing every emotions after each ep. Relating and thinking things like that is still easy. But putting into words is a lot more work. I just know this above msg will take atleast 30 min to write, research and put feelings into words. If her typing speed is good. Otherwise one hour easily. More than fascination it's appreciation for me to her. It's like someone else is putting exact thoughts of urs in post and u can just reply or like to get over with overwhelming feelings. It's like i felt seen with my feelings. As she also said if not said then restlessness takes over. And u try to hold back writing long paragraphs but then when u see not everyone specially in BL world is speaking in that depth u need to say to get over with it. I know i tried this method and omg it's so draining...plus another thing is that when u feel this deeply it comes very harsh to the viewer. Sometimes not to feel that deeply is a boon. U can trust me on that. Here, she is having safe space but in real life it's very traumatic as not everyone can take and understand emotions this deeply.

Huh......went tooooo personal. 😩 Asking for forgiveness in advance for taking ur this much time.
PS- Send friend request to her who knows if she accept it. 😊

PS PS- this is not public confession to her about my appreciation for her. But yeah whatever. Embarrassed

And that's unfortunate also. I remember my history teacher explained why concept of enunch as right man of king came into place. It's because they knew too much and can use those info to upsurp the throne. But strangely still they were able to control kings in history. Not sure how much this concept is relevant to chinese history but yeah.

That's more of the reason why I am not able to understand why people are expecting this to be a romance centric drama. It's heavily political based drama. Chemistry is not even in my list here.
