Ep1, 8 min in. U can check she was the writer in present world. She never wanted to write the character of FL in the book she wrote. She rewrote it in her book the Jiang Xuening to go through past life and set wrongs right.

I am not sure about u. But i have watched "Story of Kunning palace" only. Still it doesn't prove my word wrong. FL in story of book is never a character that was meant to be written and it never consumed more than 2-3 min in entire drama.

Even in the story of kunning palace she was never like that. She was like that in the story of book that bailu character wrote in present world and that too also because it was her team that was pushing this same idea to hate FL and indulge the audience of book. She (Bailu character in present who is also the writer) wanted to change the story and take all right decisions and that's why when she rewrote book even then she was having crush on that guy to whom she did injustice in book but there was absolutely no intimacy and she was loyal to her husband once she understood that it's better to call off that past crush for everyone's good.

Still in book she wrote, it was never her character it was books character that she never wanted to write like that. Plus that never even consumed more than 2min of time in the entire 36-40 ep drama of 40 -45min in kunming palace. So idk whom u are referring to that trash FL and the word u used even in that story for any character.

For me here xukai is acting good. Like i am convinced with him as yan rui. About looks i pay less attention to that but still i think Zhou ye is also looking pretty. Especially in ep1 the taking in ceremony she was looking ethereal. Xu kai is naturally handsome. But here costumes and makeup suits him as yan rui.

I am also a slow watcher. I often watch lots of dramas in one go and rotate it or watch continuously based on my mood and how much story is making me look forward.

I am also not rushing as for me story matters. When i rush I tend to miss details. Plus i am in no hurry to complete dramas or follow airing schedule. The only thing that is making me wanting to finish all my current watch dramas is because cdrama world is busy. It's getting busy a lot. And more good are coming and how much can I watch afterall there is only 24 hours a day. 🥲

Ep8, i have one doubt. I get that yan rui is revenue advisor and he is in incharge of disaster relief. But isn't this his revenge as well? Till now there is no talk about him even doing anything for revenge. It's all xie family and it's involvement and Revenge.

I get that xie family is imp but looks like all things come into their bucket just for the sake of it. I mean i do get that they did stored grain to inflate price more and make disaster worse. But did they actually are involved in disaster relief scam? Because the death and ledger coming to xie family without any background is something i don't see any link. It's just looks like a plot device conveniently getting added to move the plot. Also I feel like sure xie family is powerful but how come everything is handled by them? Where is local gov? The disaster relief is majorly their responsibility.
Xie family is having military connections and court connections. They can't rule whole country affairs in this detail. And if yes then it's a network of corruption instead of only xie family corruption. But then again only xie family is getting investigated. Yan rui didn't ques other parties but still where is local gov?

Finally completed ep7, now things better make sense. Qingyuan got revenge from nanny rong. Got to know how first madam is also involved. She got confession. But i genuinely thought that qinghe and qingyuan had good relationship and they still have who knows but somewhere i felt she build the relationship with her so that she can get closer to the truth. Which i like. I like when revenge drama actually works on revenge. Previous ep were so hard to connect on why she is doing this when this doesn't contribute to her plans. Also xie estate made little sense as she used it to get nanny rong out of her path. First revenge done. Looking for next person.

Thank you whoever told me to keep going from ep6. I literally dropped this drama and pick it up. Now it's bearable and story moves to actual plot of using brains and having revenge and romance.

U know this director don't give commercial drama vibes. He gave us one spring night and something in the rain. It's a real story. A comfort drama.

Same I feel like this drama is special.

How to say? He has the beauty to make daily life of a person show beautifully, he didn't used drama in his stories or just added plot device for addition sake. U know when I watch his dramas that he want to show a story of two people who themselves are having individuality and yet through high and lows they find their soulmate. That's the beauty of his drama.

And this drama gives me that energy. I just know this will be my comfort drama every week after work.

Some stories despite its heaviness gives u comfort. And he mastered that art.

U know this drama will make u cry if in recommendations u are getting "Angel fall sometimes" ( cdrama), "one spring night", " uncontrollably fond", "something in the rain". So when my all fav Kdramas are in recommendation list. U just know this is going to be good.
