Oh. Sorry. Then i will take back everything. I still love this drama. And will love it they will ans all my ques. Doesn't matter how or explicitly giving it time. I can watch one ep of 40min taking whole day if story wants it. Sorry.😅😅😅😅😅

U are misunderstanding me. I am not against healing subtly thing. Obviously healing can't happen in a day. My problem is if u are showing me healing. U need to show trauma. Childhood trauma i get it. I thought they will explore what happened to chen yi in 6 years so if that's not ans idk this makes drama weak here. Production of cheap or cost is secondary. But they should not have cut the scenes that damage the story. Here I want what happened in that 6 years to chen yi. They keep telling that he experienced something bad and need therapy but what for? He was already functioning when miao jing was in his life what happened so bad that he can't sleep, whenever he close his eyes he gets boxing scenes. What happened in jin country. Why zhai goy killed? What actually happened in fire accident? How wen actually died? Thjs is more imp. It impacted them to the core. But miao jing college life is no where imp to me. It didn't shaped her. She was shown that she missed him, keep calling him , msg him but was never able to, she had life but was never happy and that's why she came back. That's enough for me.

But chen yi past needs to be explored. Not ans idk why and what healing? Yes he need self love. Yes he need healing. But he already needed that from earlier.

U can say this is my criticism to this drama. I do think heavy auditing thing could have been cut down if they had cost issue as that was not ans my most of the ques. Auditing scenes are imp to expose zhang bin corruption scam, miao jing and chen yi coming closer during that period, healing yes. All that. But did it ans those ques this drama left to mystery and suspense? No.

So u wait got dessert to come but dessert never came. Payoff feels less. Otherwise i love this drama for romance. I have no hatred with story or characters. Even I loved this drama so much that i had to write episode reviews. And u can see i still am. I am not leaving any detail. So i am not lazy watcher. Just that if chen yi past will not get explored I will not like this drama as much as I do till now. I will feel my patience was tested but never rewarded. My opinion. Ur pov can differ no issue. But i also have every right to feel frustrated.

Not chaotic. But production team overestimated their audience patience and intelligence. Not all wants to see auditing and use their brain. They put lots of auditing scenes while exploring their present subtly when if they did it opposite it would interest people more. People are more interested in love even if it's slow burn but this is non existent to people. As what they found is auditing scenes with less to no romance improvement which is boring and that's why high drop rates around those ep.

Suspense works when suspense gets ans.here it never got ans...how payoff will be felt?

I just don't understand one thing why people think it's a abrupt conclusion and immediately wants to know what happened? Some stories doesn't work like that. It's not first drama that has executed past and then present. This ques i don't understand.

Rest all criticism i understand are valid for this drama.

Doesn't make sense. To understand the healing effects we need to understand what they are healing and how deep the wound is.

That makes this drama little frustrating uk. I started this drama on the day it started airing and here i am still at ep22. Because this drama don't tell everything but they ans is splits. Like i never knew that zhai is dead if I would have skipped auditing thing. 🤣

Which i can't. This drama is too heavy for me. First trauma. Then auditing mind u, i am pursuing MBA finance so I can't even skip it. 🤣🤣🤣

Which is sad indeed right? Once my sociology teacher explained " changes and revolt happens in real world when there is subjective realisation of objective reality." Meaning, those who are often oppressed are already habituated to live like that or accepted that's their fate. No matter how much hate. But it's generally the people who are not suffering same injustice realise that this is injustice and they call it out and understand and help them in this.

Seems true both in real and fictional life I have experienced so far.

Plus don't forget there is also a theory if some women has suffered the same injustice instead of feeling sympathised with other women and help them they drag them down.by using the concept " if i suffered then so as u. Now it's ur time". Madam zuo is classic example of this.

She is acting stubbornly because she wants ans. Why chen yi chose to send her to diff college without any consent? She already saw that chen yi was dealing with wrong and bad people so she wants to know what happened in past? And is he ok? Furthermore she still love him. So she wants him back.

Chen yi had dark past. U will see how traumatised he is and is taking therapy sessions. Plus he is not living in better living conditions. He want miao jing to go back to city life in Hai city so that she keeps being safe and led a good life. He also never loved anyone beside her. But he is ok to let her go instead of dragging her in his chaos.

Fire accident is not yet explained. I am still at ep22. And still even I have this ques unanswered. But it will be answered soon. Somethings will be explained in auditing eps. Not explicitly but there will be info here and there. U need to figure it out.

Auditing scenes could be boring if u think that those were included just to make plot moving. But those auditing scenes were necessary to see chen yi was dealing with dangerous people who are involved in organised crime. In first half it was only said but never showed. Auditing scenes will reveal that.

Spoiler:- cop's fiancee is dead. Zhai is dead. Chen yi haf some bad past and experience( life and death one) which impacted him and traumatised him.
Story will be unfold later layer by layer. U have to have lots of patience for that.

First priority is the closing the distance between chen yi and miao jing that's what story will show now apart from heavy auditing scenes.

This drama splits into two. Past and present. Past childhood shown. Now 6 years are mystery that story will say. It's not forgotten but kept as suspense to audience while exploring present.

Ep3, this ep should be named as "Tragedy and Glory of Cost of Preserving the chasisty arc".

Even Zhao ling who was a stranger and had every beef with Tingyun he chose to burn his hand with hot tea instead of harming Tingyun reputation for money. But those who were close to her harmed her like crazy. Grandmother never loved or cared about Tingyun or more accurate will be she never cared anything more than chasisty arc standing in front of Fu residence. She rather murder her own grand daughter than sacrificing any chasisty arc. I do get her difficult position that she has no able men to bring the honour to Fu family without arc and even loosing one arc means years of unjust those ladies bore to get that. But is the reputation and arc that imp over a living being? So as much as that u have to kill her? Idk what's the way out for this alternatively or is it there? But this is peak sadness and tragedy. One can see her when she was even saying that Tingyun is ill she was touching her precious chasisty arc so her decision was never in favour of Tingyun. She never thought about Tingyun. She only cared about Fu family reputation. I am sorry if I have to ever choose generation of trauma of chasisty arc just to make my men of household grow up over poisoning my own family, i rather choose to smash those chasisty arc to save my family who is innocent and break down the trauma baggage from generations and also it will preserve the future generations to bear that stupid responsibility.

That being said, yanke i hate her. But i get her. She never truly considered Tingyun as her friend. Because friend dont harm each other. They separate ways in case of diffrence. But no she chose to harm her to secure her future marriage which she think mr. Yu is in love with her. What an illusion. But i understand her. She is also the product of cruel society. She can't get married to Fu residence, so she saw potential in mr. Yu who proposed her that he will defy his mother. She thought she will get wealth, family status upliftment, respect and love from mr. Yu. So she betrayed her. All her pretentious behaviour got reflected like a mirror in judgement day. She can't even face Tingyun after that...maybe due to guilt? But then why to choose to betray her friend? She was not even bethroed to anyone it's not that she was dying. But she created dying situation for someone whom she called friends for years.

Then we have mr. Yu. Only one line for this man. He understood how far this Fu family can go but still he chose to taint a girl's name. Why? Because? He wanted to free himself from the clutches of her mother. Like said in ep2, he never hated Tingyun nor he loved fanke, he simply hated that he don't have control over his own marriage and life...just to fulfill the filial duty. So he chose yanke who is easy as in his eyes Tingyun is scheming like Fu family without knowing.

Madam yu, she truly adored Tingyun as mangolia flowers. But both were never meant to be in laws. They both understand each other, admire each other but still can't take stand for each other. Madam yu also is the product of society. She has to always think about uplifting her family's status.

Then we have zuo brother and sisters. I get madam zuo hatred. But she went too far. Now how to even sympathise her? Her brother is shameless. First he couldn't clear exam now trying to use Tingyun's family bg to climb up by making this false adultery accusations. I hope these zuo brother and sister receive their karma.

But it really kills the mood. Like in one scene fanke was using her silver hairpin against candle and she was asking why Tingyun's hairpin can handle the fire without getting tainted while my hairpin gets tainted. Then her maid said because Tingyun uses gold hairpin. Meaning gold is gold and silver is silver. When scene already explained what she is saying I don't understand why they again have to use dialogues to explain explicitly to audience. It kills the beauty of storytelling. And there are lot more.

He was mesmerized and attracted to her since the moment he first saw her. U can see his eyes getting big little bit. Like in astonishment in her beauty. Ig it started from there. Earlier he already had some kind of impression like how she is clever and all.

Lotus foot? I did saw one documentary but that documentary said diff thing. It was to make women more appealing to marriages in high noble families. Ig it started when one of the empress or concubine did the same for the emperor and he became impressed. Not sure if i remember correctly. But i do remember it was so painful to even hear like that had diff shoes to support this and this all started happening since childhood as the bones were not yet developed. But i always wondered what if they never got married to high noble families? Or what will happen when some emergency situation broke out? They most probably be the vulnerable sections of society. That documentary also mentioned that this was banned long ago and some women are still alive with those foot. Those women must be so happy for younger generations but equally would have felt unjust so as to why they have to go through this pain and was a norm back then. Didn't knew it also has to do something with restricting powers of women in politics.
And maybe that's why I have heard( not sure) no women became the court official(jinshi family) idk if this is true or not.

Ep22, i really enjoyed this ep. It was romance sided and little bit relaxed than earlier auditing heavy, always have to use brain ep. I get miao jing. She understood that chen yi was going more in danger because of her. She thought maybe jealousy or little bit distance can make him realise that they need to see each other as partners not just one sided protection and care. She understood the thought that she has that chen yi will ever love himself and try to not harm himself will work and she can this time take him out of this habit but all in vain.

Chen yi can do anything to protect her. Even give his life. The whole tide saving thing proved that. She is his whole world. But in that world he never thought to be present. If he is then ok and if not then it's ok. What mattered to him is miao jing safety nothing else. I can understand miao jing, imagine always seeing your love to risk their life for ur safe. It hurts. Seeing ur loved one in danger and full with injury it hurts. Miao jing is like i give up. I understood u can't love urself. I can't understand if u actually love me that much or don't love me at all. It's like saying if I give up everything and move away from ur life for both of our safety will i stop putting urself at risk? She is ready to even make their love incomplete if it assures chen yi's safety. Idk why chen yi can't understand her position at all? Why he is so self sacrificing? Or is it really like he don't care at all about miao jing? But how is this possible?

Cen ye idk if he understood that ne don't have chance. Tuli i understand her that she didn't got closure with reasons so she is still asking. But honestly she should move on. This is going far.

What u didn't got?

Once u start cdrama u can never complete kdrama. I know it because I am trying since 2023. And since 2023 the only kdrama I was able to even stand and complete was lovely runner. That too with lots of commitment. Exams was there so can't watch any cdrama as they are addictive and long. Had too many thoughts that to drop the lovely runner. But yeah strict rule of watching only 10 min everyday helped me passing that drama.

I had high expectations from spooky in love. But this drama took me 2 weeks to complete 1ep. As my mind was going to watch cdramas which i have a LOOOOOT TT in my plate and still in Plan to watch list. I need something to relax because cdrama is not giving. Thinking if this drama can help.

Ep2, what a sad life madam zuo has. She can't even see sunlight, no hope, no child, no respect, no bright colours, no ocassional gathering, no meeting with friends or other girls, can't go outside always stuck inside four walls. Even she gets the tag of foul place and bad energy just because she is widow?? Not to say her chasisty show is just to uplift the fu family bureaucracy but who is hers? No one. She wanted to use her brother to get rid of her life but he is hopeless so she tried to use Tingyun as marriage chip to gain chasisty arc and uplift her brother and eventually uplifting zuo family status. So that she can just find a good reason, any reason to live on with this widow life. That atleast get chasisty arc was put in use to uplift her own...she thought as long as she has wealth of few taels and reputation she can live....but loneliness killed her. She can't even enjoy wealth. Moreover, her chasisty arc along with other three dif contribute to Tingyun marriage discussion. Her hatred actually is not with Tingyun but she despises that how society has written the fate of two women very diff from each other. When both have blood and flesh and both are women. She is calling deeper ques...why? This is ques to the society,laws and norms and all the people of that time...i understand her but I hate whatever she is doing to Tingyun.

More over she even made yake also thought of Tingyun is truly caring towards her and if yes then why she is not matchmaking when in reality Tingyun don't want yake to be a victim of this system even worse than madam zuo. But the seed is already planted.

What a sad life. It's better to die than living like this.

Zhao ling..he first time witnessed how people are there to make money and font hold the friendship dear even can take his life. These are his fellows with whom he worked. I get it shocked and hurted him. But why to seek Tingyun for money like this when he knows this will not end well? It can ruin a girls life? I liked that he didn't saw Tingyun as marriage chip for money and status but saw her as a girl "why to ruin a girl's life" but then what happened??? I know once Tingyun maid said this he realised but he should have thought earlier...maybe it was their fated first encounter where both for first time are seeing each other. Zhao ling truly looked taken away from Tingyun's beauty.

Oh u get me!!! U know i felt frustrated in pitcher case then whole reviving haixia thing. I was like why can't they give me more zhang hailou and zhang haixia screentime.

Hmm i see. For me nothing really matters good plot yes I am all yours.

In fact I love this drama. How I wish they give us more good stories in BL side. More depth. Thai dramas make things too fluffy which i watch to cleanse my palette( feel good) but no depth except some.

Btw, sensuality idk but I just found the way qing lang and chang yang cuddled after separation/ no contact was beyond any hug, kisses. So warm. Like chang yang is willing to engulf qing lang in his embrace and qing lang doing nothing just seeing him while both keep their eyes shut to feel the warmth, love and the feel when ur loved one touch u that softly. I have never seen that in any BL. So yeah. If i think about this drama. I think it took me so long to even start this because I was getting too emotional about lots of things.

One of them was remembering my childhood when I first saw Himalayas and tea garden. I fell in love. This drama reminds me of that memory. Proof how a drama can make u teleported to that world :)

Complete opposite. I watched 3 ep and said not my cup of tea and happily dropped it. Not sure if cases are actually interesting or not. I didn't liked it. Plus chemistry wise i felt more chemistry in Nanyang Mystery (bromance) maybe because "Cases between us" started with their bickering. They were complete strangers who started developing bond while resolving cases. But still on screen idk something was missing for me. In Nanyang Mystery they already knew each other and so their bond captivated me. Even when they were not together they used to think about each other. Ready to even die for each other.

Cases between us is a BL. Just censorship made it bromance. But Nanyang Mystery is pure bromance which set bar so high idk even Mystic Nine if i ever watch will it surpass or not.

If u are upto thriller and adventure, fictional world bromance u can try Nanyang Mystery.

I beg u to transfer this superpower of binge watching to me in loan. I lost all my ability to binge watch during and after DH. And trust me with all these ongoing dramas I am going crazy. Not complaining but how come when i am in mood to watch all the good things are coming and coming and coming. No time to breathe along with adult life.

Me too. Although this drama is healing till now just hoping next time i check out this drama it would not consume my another sick leave. 😑
