I think the changes already started happening when he first time said loudly " shut up". It's not only to shut down the cat fight that was happening between his sister and his wife but it was also a loud voice to himself. Loud enough to make others quiet that what happened? But more than that it was louder to accept the truth and realisation that already hit him just was not in affirmation and action sense. But that first time revolt was the start for me......later whatever happened u can see from his actions he was another person like an tree in its autumn season, shedding leaf to grow new one.
It's also interesting that from then onwards he started using his knowledge of trading and experience in farming as a key that can help him in getting a sense of freedom and make money on his own. Preview of ep11 is even bigger result of this small start.
All along when he was listening to lu qing and his friends Convo serving him soup, congee, running errands. He was empowering himself with knowledge all keeping his mouth mumm. He is a smart person just he don't show. Like a puppy who is cute and sweet but when it bites it hurts the most.
It's been weighing on me. So i have to say. Few days ago, I read one line "The sweetest revenge smells like a Jasmine" which I didn't understood in context of that drama but it applies here.
In ep10, xiao fan exposing bei lu qing and their relationship and the story that will unfold later says that. Xiaofan who always gulped down all the injustice and insults he faced. He never forget that. It slowly changed him. From a person who just wanted to have the attention of his family love then later to bei lu qing togetherness and the assurity that he is the only one in his life came to the end point , when he saw lu qing with his fiancee. Like a slow poison he again gulped down but this time poison took effect. It changed the colour to blue when xiao fan exposed their relationship. The flash backs are the confirmation of these when it started happening.
Xiao fan, took a step in his revenge by doing this. It truly smells like Jasmine. Looks like ordinary flower, white in colour to denote calmness and peace. Extract it to make it perfume and it makes others life smell good. But don't go with its pleasant scent . It's sweet but very powerful. Its impact and strong fragrance lasts long like just like bitterness that comes with it. Can't ignore it's presence. It's strong, powerful, sweet yet bitter. That's what xiao fan is, a Jasmine and his revenge is equally calm yet impactful. Not loud but enough to let u show the injustice loudly.
It makes me want to rewatch the drama again as to notice how and when all this started. Maybe it's from the beginning or maybe when lu qing came back to him after aiding xiao fan's brother in his job. Who knows?
But it's indeed a Chinese drama. Writing, pacing everything screams it. Xiao fan reminds me of another legendary characters from cdrama world. Although, xiao fan is first such character in Chinese BL history. But the resemblance is something i keep getting reminded of.

Wow. Ding yuxi screen presence is superb. He comes in the screen and the impact he left on the screen. He definitely has improved a lot. I hate to admit but he even got improved from Nanyang Mystery which got recently released.
This is my first drama of Ancy Deng. And so far she is not bad. She just needs to improve her acting in the sense that how deep she can leave lingering effect on her audience. But she was superb in crying scenes. I loved it.
Waiting for ep5. Story is actually good. Although I personally didn't found PoB much interesting( don't come on me here on this, my opinion, i didn't liked it then because I was in drama slump era and nothing new in earlier ep( my opinion simple), will pick up later) but this story is surprisingly good. It has capability to hold its audience attention. Cinematography, production screams quality.
Will discuss plot after rewatching with fresh mind again..but this is kind of drama where one should discuss plot. It has something to offer. Looks like the core of the drama is suffering. And to built a future despite suffering. And I LOVE this kind of plot. More please.

The whole scrap thing, miao jing tried to use a car accident to track down the driver and get it noted that it's indeed huoyun logistics who is doing money laundering as that truck nameplate was never registered in the name of the company assets but Ting's name. So how come a personal asset( as ting is not owner or ceo of company neither major stakeholders) can leave a fleet for Linehaul? It doesn't make sense unless they are hiding something i.e. exposing issue and mismatch in fleet and Linehaul. So indirectly exposing money laundering.
But taking this rash decision means directly exposing oneself means life threat. So chen yi step up. He told miao jing to go from police station. He confronted driver that loss is paid and he handled situation. But as Bai understood that is not scrap incident. Chen yi said that project lead Dong under the supervision of audit company has filed case. Dong is just a scapegoat here he was not trusted by cen ye nor by Zhang. As he only cared about money. Which he was getting. Just like that he handled miao jing safely, eased the sus of Bai. And after showing customer transaction history that project lead guy has taken money from huoyun logistics to keep his mouth shut in audit or even help them. Chen yi further played hero by saying that because of him he is not in jail. And that's how he made project lead understood that if he wants to live then resign. Kinda it actually helped project lead guy to save his life. Zhang bin will no longer pursue him. But chen yi protected miao jing safely here. He became one from both sides. Which is dangerous.
Adding to more danger when zhang bin called him, he ques how did he know all this when all the truck license are under Bai name? Which is valid ques from his side. So chen yi said he has sus over Bai and that's why he interfered. But we also got to know Zhai is dead. So chen yi didn't accompanied Zhai to Jin country. But he killed him ig. But why? Did he knew chen yi identity? Or its because zhang bin told? Or chen yi had to do that time because of tax invasion scam and arson case? Or what? We don't know.
But down side is that zhang bin transferred all the trucks with illegal works under chen yi name which is frightening. He is in big danger. He can actually get jailed for lifetime. Plus zhang bin don't even want chen yi to hold the control of fleet but also his crime partner. So even bigger things..
The only part less convincing here is that zhang bin got sold by chen yi story that project lead can't stay as he understood the nameplate scam and he don't want money but out. Which is less convincing to me as he already took lots of money so why not? Maybe it's too dangerous and he actually wanted a way out. So zhang bin got sold..
