And actually somewhere i agree with him. It's a very good drama very good. How to say its the only BL i am watching right now with Missing Piece on hold. That's how much I love this drama. But can I call it as a 9.0 rating drama? From enjoyment, individual preference yes. But can I from a pov of work of art? No. And i agree with each word u said. But DMD is improving. First i was not able to watch omg Cutie pie, secret crush on you, next prince was bad( as per me I didn't liked it) but i can't even deny that they did tried diff and new. I kinda agree with u here. I am loving this series soo much. I am literally waiting v for every sat to come fast. But i agree it's not something that can be called as something special or unique. They have a very good script, it's well written in what it's been targeted to achieve, actors are also good. OST is good. But can I rate this drama close to 9 or 10? No.

Even with straight dramas achieving 9.0 is like a milestone. So although this drama is my fav drama and I see no flaw in writing here still the story is just not diff. This series just did so well in execution. They took concept and made it so good to enjoy. But still i can't simply rate it as 9.0 from my pov. But MDL is like that. U have good romance and fluff it will do good simple. It's like a fact by now.
On the other hand, Four hands two sonatas is diff genre. It's not new. But unique. Penthouse already did that years ago with this concept just that it was straight drama. But four hands and two sonatas is bromance( claimed as one). It has diff story to tell. U are comparing two different stories and genres. Two Sonatas is about two people who are very diff from each other in terms of thinking and livelihood and musical preferences but still they shared happiness and sadness together bounded and connected more with each other through music. It's diff emotion. It's validation, admiration yet little bit jealous, fear, friendship still rivals in music. It's a good drama very good in that. I never thought Song Kang can act. He never impressed me with his acting except for the fact I still have soft corner for him for playing the character in Love Alarm that I find so pitiful till this date. But here he did so well. Script was diff. If Penthouse took opera or classical singing( forgot if that's the theme) then Two sonatas took piano. Obviously i am not denying that plot wise Two sonatas is richer and unique. But still those two are two different genre.

Its deeper than that. Fans ship or idolise their idols because they felt seen, they bring comfort to them. As a person who also is a fangirl of big boyband. I relate with Wan.
When Nine said " when I become an actor please take my photo". Wan felt he was being seen for his talent or hobby of taking pictures. He felt seen. He felt he was given a task. Wan rooted for him. He made the photography of Nine as his task that he do from all his heart just because he felt that comfort first time he met Nine. All to be shattered. Years later when Nine said " did I told u to this?" He find it contradictory. He felt how can things be this diff. He felt the initial interaction that gave him the reason to root for Nine is something that is not even considered as Wanted in the lens of Nine. That's where a fanboy heart and illusion got broke. And i felt for Wan.
My best moment from ep6 would be when Third said" instead of thank you can u please stop crying?" Wan looked at him. Then third said " can you stop idiolising him?". That stole my heart.
Third always knew that Wan is a fanboy of Nine. He didn't said "stop idiolising him" out of jealousy. He just wanted Wan to stop idiolising None because it was hurting Wan. He knew he consider Nine good but Nine is not that person and it's hurting Wan. He just wanted his love to not see getting hurt and cry as he was also getting hurt seeing him like that.
Another best moment would be, When Wan teared all Nine's photo and he broke down. His sister didn't asked what happened? What are u doing ? Why u are doing? She let him do that. And as a fangirl of Third she was and also the sister who saw Wan closely how he loved those pictures of Nine, she understood something is wrong. She let Wan do whatever he want and calm down. Then she asked not to just ask in questioning mode. But as a person who wants to understand what happened and u can tell me. He told her that Nine hate him. She understood the impact of those words on Wan. She just hugged him and said " next time if something will happen I will go to the set with u" just to show that she maybe younger than Wan but still she is his sister and his family.

Ep1, apart from stunning visuals and costumes. There is one line that is stuck at my head.

Ep1- states as Divine Constable Tally. And truly it is. It is Li Si who schemed and tallied the facts to get into the Divine Constable Bureau. That bureau itself is the beginning of their journey as trio to solve cases, a planned encounter to achieve Li Si end goal to uncover truth he has been desiring for past 17 years. The Bureau is where it gave him connections and info and proper organisation to start.
For me, ep1 best moment would be. When older Li Si met his younger self in his dream. He is calling his younger self and asking him "Tell me who did this to u". He was having nightmare when he was not well because of his injury. But that dream is sufficient to tell u that how much Li Si was impacted psychologically by that incident. How much truth means to him. It's not just a dream but an incident that shaped him. He prepared for 17 years until that puppet case resurfaced giving him opportunity to openly link and investigate case.
Fragrance fades and jade is lost: the withered blood case. Strangely dead bone spice is the cause of loosing of jade and fragrance( girls) but the thread that puppeters used had fragrance.
Why qing wu was having diff way of murder than other 9 girls? Qing wu was dead in her place, with body and blood splattered, still dressed in her clothes which is diff from other girls. Unless they explain this in later ep or the murderer knew that his/her intention got exposed so that made everyone see it as open announcement of threat I will overlook it as flaw.
