Then he heard the news of his siblings going missing. He was searching them. But human psyche it gave up. The fear of loosing them was so much that he believed everything fortune teller said. Everything. He was begging. He was desperate. He was afraid. And fortune teller took the advantage of that.
The fortune teller under the disguise of stupid immortal affinity and stuff. He asked Chengming to give everything. Chengming just to save his siblings gave everything. He gave his business and all wealth. He saw his own siblings in puppet form. He thought it's just puppet with no soul and this fortune teller will bring their souls and help him.
But they were alive. They were human being and not puppet. They were seeing his brother begging to fortune teller to save him. He is searching for them. They are seeing. But they are helpless. They can't even cry and shed tears. They can't tell his brother truth. All they can see is his brother begging to a murderer in the disguise of saver.
Feiyan knew what's happening. She sometimes felt sad that it's happening. But still she never told truth. She never try to stop. She never tried to save innocent life. It's heart wrenching what happened.
All chengming will remember that only if he never believed him and only if he believed his eyes. And saved those puppet who are actually his siblings. He could have avoided this. All that comes is him. He must be blaming himself internally. So much. That's sad. Because he was the prey in this well planned scam.
I have completed till ep 3, when will FL appear on screen ( she is only in flashbacks)
Ig this is because she is the main person he wants to reach. He is searching for her through qingying. He is exposing web. He is meeting all people who were the part of scam until he reach her.
He was not a fool. He studied in abroad. He still got scammed means there were lots of layers and people involved with it that made everything looked real. He didn't got sus. So the whole deciept must looks and feels real.
Along the way through flashbacks it's also a constant reminder that why he chose to trust her and why he is searching for her. He was in love and she was his wife. The depth of past they shared it's imp to show.
At the same point. It's also imp to not only reach Feiyan but all other person who involved with this should also pay for their crimes. Until that ig FL appearance will be like this. Just my opinion. I maybe wrong here.

He was looking for the guilt or shame but he found none in her eyes. She said to kill her. But how can a dead person can kill another person? Chengming was already dead one time when he saw his family like that. This reborn was just to seek revenge.
He mentions her son. She immediately said dont harm him. Is he alive? But she never thought about chengming family. Why? Because they are not her children and family?
Chengming was shocked. So scammers also have emotions? He asks repeatedly about the past and work. And all she mentions is her son.
Difference is clear. Now it's her son who is in danger but still she is not having any remorse. While chengming understanding the pain of loss he chose to take revenge with kindness. He answered her with kindness which she didn't deserved. He refused to harm an innocent life.
Still all she cared about is her son.
This is how it feels? Ur whole life is ruined. U lost a home. And the person who harmed u is no where impacted?

He was attracted to her voice and artistic creativity and then to her kindness which she was opposite of.
That's why the opera song goes from " There is a fiery women in the brothel. She sees one man off only to welcome another everyday" to " Han Shizong fell from power with his ambition unfulfilled. "
On the deep thought somewhere it worked opposite of their characters but the story remains same. Feiyan is also a fiery character in that opera with hidden agenda towards chengming and she also welcomes men everytime after she is done cheating them through honey trap. And Chengming did lost everything and fell from his wealthy life and peaceful life with his ambition and dream shattered that he once dreamt of.
With this my review of ep1 in three parts is done. Waiting for other ep to watch and understand the complexities of human emotions and whole exposure of web.

He often wonderes "what if she also sent men to play damsel in distress", " what if whatever family story she said was all fabricated", " what if she lied to him about her bday", " did she ever truly loved him". Those are some painful ques chengming is asking from himself. How much was that true? How much was that scam? Did she ever told truth from her heart? What to believe and what to not?
The story ended with the ques. Did they fall in love. We know chengming did. But did Feiyan? Some questions rather should be left unanswered. Because love never harms their lovers family. It's better to believe she never did. Hatred and no love brings less complications. Otherwise how can you deal with urself when u know that u still love her somewhere or seeking her yes as love. When she killed his family.
Ep1, It was dark and foggy night. Crows cawing saying something bad has happened. Foggy as chengming he was under blur with what is reality that is soon going to hit him. Dark as truth as night it was.
chengming saw his own siblings getting carried away by current. He recognises them and then calls them as if he believes that they will respond. He again calls them realising they are not replying. He again calls them see i am here reply me. Then he realises that they are gone.
" Immortal children descends. Against the current, the corpses go" He understood the meaning of this line. Under the crowd he searched for the voice who said this. He again saw his siblings as he still don't want to believe last time and accepted the truth.
His mother told him that whole family his father, his siblings are gone. And everything was a scam. He still don't believe that Feiyan can do this. He calls her to seek ans. Only to see thick fog like his clouded and confused mind. His mother sheds tears with bitter and mocking laugh saying it's a scam.
He saw Feiyan calling him. He looked happy as if everything is just a dream. He calls her Feiyan to give her ans. He again calls Feiyan by nodding head in denial that this can't be truth. He again calls Feiyan realising things and in anger.
Whole thing is a scam. Yes she is scam. Everything was a scam.
His stepmother( idk who she is what's her identity) said " u are a jinx. U killed all ur family". He stepped back that no this can't be truth. But he knows this is the truth. He got scammed and this costed life. But truth is too harsh to take.
He then fell in water and was drowning. He was drowning by the grief, betrayal, wanting to come out from this dream but he can't, he is drowning for trusting wrong person, he is drowning with internal hatred.
Then he was shown to come out of that water as a person who is still drowning from the desire to seek revenge and find ans to all his ques regarding whole scam. And ans is Feiyan herself.
What a powerful scene. This was imp to set and say that why he has to seek revenge and find truth that why she scammed him? Why him? What wrong he did to her? Why?
This marks the beginning of the story and my attachment to chengming ans quest.
I know it was long. But I felt the need to say it. As I was not able to empty out heaviness from my chest.
