Anyway, the problem is not just the actors age, but also how old and mature they look. And he looks like a kid.
Baby idol is cute, but... he is a baby. Next to Hani he feels miscast, because he looks like her teenage younger brother.
Ad even putting aside how the characters are written, I believe Hani and Shi Yang simply have better on screen chemistry.
I am honestly convinced they simply did not have enough content written for that many that long episodes. This should have been a short 8 episode 20 minutes long each, and just based on that it would be so much better, coz they would speed it up a bit and removed all the slow unnecessary elements.
So if Je Na was not trying so hard to convince them to take that last chance and work hard, it would not hit her hard. But she was convinced, she saw the hope in Je Na, but then reality slapped her in the face.
So while that reaction was hypocritical, it made perfect sense taking into consideration the situation. Especially since she did not know Je Na said: either we all survive, or we all die.
+ from the start they had different takes on it. Elle did not hide her gigs and what she was doing. She from the start was saying this is a sinking ship. While Je Na was trying to convince them all to stay and work hard together. So hearing she might survive herself while they will all be dumped felt like betrayal. Realistically speaking, Je Na should have told all of them the true, as they have the right to know what might be their future, so they can prepare.
Also, the "pandemic" excuse is a bit meh, coz restaurants were not the only businesses affected by covid. So even if they wanted to help business owners, they still could have picked for a bigger range of topics.
π The orange tones for the "past" scenes were so ugly I cannot. It's not like a vintage vibes, or warm colors, it's just an orange on the screen.
π€ I honestly hope they will dive into this whole transfer memories - does this overwrite memories the person already had? Is it like 2 memories coexisting? Is the person able to differentiate between their own memories and the memories that were transferred?
π I hate when they show a scientist making dumb decision about their project. Like bish, the moment you become a test subject, your research goes to trash to some extend, or at least you need to remove yourself from it or limit your involvement. Like him wanting to be the subject is dumb on a whole new level. No one goes from rats to people experiments lol There are steps to be taken. You go to bigger animals, then ones with closer cognitive skills to people like chimpanzees. Bish went: ah yes, I did it with ONE RAT, I am ready to do it on myself. Like dude... really? REALLY? Also, I'm assuming he is THE researcher on the project, like can they continue without him? Coz you never fucking know what might happen when you play with the brain. What if he damages his own memories and brain during the experiment? Then the whole research will go and fuck itself? I am glad everyone tells him how fucking dumb of an idea it is, but honestly with such an important project, with them knowing his personality, they should have someone trusted keep an eye on him after that request π ALSO SUCH A MASSIVE LAWSUIT THAT WOULD LITERALLY STOP THE WHOLE RESEARCH ON THE GROUNDS OF BEING UNETHICAL lol Highly doubt they had the approval of the family to use the body in this way.
π Lee Sun Kyun's acting A+
π€£ There is something wrong with me coz I could not stop laughing about that killing-full-on-blood scene when they connected the memories hahahahaha That music just did it for me.
π Park Hee Soon's voice
π "I have gotten a glimpse into some of his memories, but I can't recall any of them clearly" so what you mean, your photographic memory brain finally tasted how normal people deal with memories and you can't comprehend it? π€£
π€ I think the theme of this show is EXTREMELY hard to present on screen. We don't store memories like clips from the movies like they show it here. But then, it's not like they could have show them in any other way in a drama.
π So yeah, obviously injecting yourself with memories of other people will fuck up you, and your personality etc. We build the sense of ourselves on the experience we have. If you can transfer that experience, it will influence who you are on some levels. It's such an interesting topics. Back to the 2nd point I made - is it more like a knowledge we additionally have, like memories become like a movie of someone else's life? Or will our brain not be able to differentiate so it will try to integrate it, which will literally lead someone to mental breakdown π€£
π For a genius he is pretty dumb. Your habits and quirks are build based on your experience, that forms memories. It's all linked. How did you NOT predict this shit happening? Honestly enjoyed watching him get all these awful side effects coz bish literally asked for them.
π I guess he did not have enough side effects. I am amazed how he went straight into: maybe my son is not dead. And not into "my memory of my wife saying the son is not dead is being morphed with the memories of the girl from the dead dude's memories". like... THAT'S THE LOGICAL MORE SCIENTIFIC REASONING!
Okay conclusion: really hella awesomely fun to watch, but the ML is really hella dumb π€£
Jae Young was kidnapped by the cult, one of the Jung Hyun's high school friends. The goal was for her to be a bait to get Jung Hyun.
