"Hi, I had blocked this user (as I wrote that I would) but saw that the comments kept growing and therefore logged out to see what was said. The comment has been taken down. I assume it is because it was offensive towards the trans community as well as any religious or non religious person out there, for Christians for using their religion in that way to it is for getting this type of praching. If I remember the comment correctly, if you have any further questions please write a new comment or send me a message./

And even if he saw BLs as his starting point, i still see nothing wrong about it. BLs are not some holy genre better than any other. Some actors use normal rom coms as a way to gain popularity and then move to the projects they wanted to do from the start. Some do it with short web dramas - do what they get cast for and when they see opportunity, go for a roles they always wanted to do.
Honestly speaking, if i was a male actor i would not want to do BLs long term too, because of the specific way the fandom behaves. I would not want to be questioned on my sexuality during every live i do and hear from people "i would like you better if you were gay".
There were quite a few plot lines that made little sense for me. With action shows tho, I am a bit more tolerant for these hahaha
I am not surprised, and yet still disappointed.
SAME! I can't see any good plot with 2nd season. It was a one plot type of show, and anything that would follow would feel forced...
I actually liked how fast the romance started. If they were older characters it would be out of place and unrealistic, but with teen romance - shit happens in real life too.
Totally agree about the villain. The evil stuff he did were not "explained" well with his weak motivation.
Honestly speaking, this show if for sure made to be binge watched. The plot is quite simple, so it sells better as a one time longer entertainment, than 20 minutes per week type of deal 🤣
Ji Jin Hee truly aced the role here. He is extremely talented actor. Even tho I don't like all of his dramas, I for sure enjoy all of his performances.
I said what I said. You named the lack love triangle as a reason people dislike Peach, when if you scroll down the comments, no one named it as a reason. You have a lot of comment naming all the reasons why they did not quite like Peach, and yet in your comment you name the one no one mentioned ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
conclusion - your initial comment has little to do with the reality.
As for the overrated. As I said, 2gether is overrated coz it was the first BL for many people. When you just get into BLs, everything seems like a fresh, new, amazing toy. Same goes for dramas overall. This is why many k-drama basic rom-coms have high ratings - they were first dramas for many people, they had nothing to compare them with, hence they thought it's the best thing on the plant. Most people who saw more BLs judged 2gether for what it was - cute rom-com with pretty faces, nothing impressive.
While Bright gain A LOT of popularity with 2gether and became a start, he was also no a new face in Thailand overall. It did help 2gether gains some attraction at first.
Popularity means nothing, if people dislike the show. Your argument is - people dislike Peach coz it had no love triangle, and you named My Engineer as an example in another reply. But people did not really like My Engineer either. So giving it as an example made no sense.
The point is, when you go down the comment section, you have a lot of people clearly stating what exactly they disliked about Peach of Time. And yet, you named not one of these reasons in your comment, concluding people dislike it coz it had no love triangle ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.
So how about listening to reasons people give, instead of ignoring them and coming up with your own theories on why some might have disliked it.
I did not see one comment saying they would want to see love triangle in THIS show. Most people who have complaints about it, do not mention the ending too. So your views on why people dislike it are unsubstantiated.
People mention how Jimmy's acting was not on pair with co-stars, how the ghost aspect was a mess and how we as viewers had to literally force ourselves to ignore logic with how Yoon Oh was levitating things around people, or how Peach was flirting with air in a busy area, and no one reacted to it. People complained how, even tho one of the best parts of the show, the relationship between Yoon Oh and his mother could be better build and explained. How there were many side stories for side characters that were unnecessary, and wasted time that could be used for the main couple (the rival coffee place and the boss, mom's scene at work). How Mario's story had no real ending.
The point is, there are valid reasons for people to not love this show, so saying they dislike it coz it got no love triangle is a bit ridiculous.
No need to generalize everyone who was not in love with the show just based on your unsubstantiated view on them.
You should stop assuming people should view things your way - it's not the only correct one. There is not such a thing as objectivity in terms of judging dramas. I am not objective, you are not objective. Expecting objectivity is being unrealistic. We judge shows based on our own standards, likes, preferences.
I have honestly no idea what's your problem. It's not like I rated the show low or completely ignored the good aspects. It's literally positive review with one complaint about ending, which is one of my pet peeves in terms of planning and directing a show.
No idea how you came across my review, but I would advice moving on. And maybe next time just skip any review that does not rate a show you like as 10, since it bothers you so much.
It's important to point out both positive and negative aspects about shows, so people try understand what they are getting into. Having only positive reviews is pointless, since they would offer only one perspective.
There is no drama that everyone will enjoy, since everyone has different taste. Nothing wrong with pointing out things one personally dislikes. I am not forcing anyone to read my review. And honestly speaking, if someone is so easily influenced by reviews, that reading one might ruined the whole watching experience for them, maybe they should stop reading reviews in the first place.
