Gave it a 7. It's cute and all, but there was no "wow" factor for me.
I liked Tae Seong as a character more, but I actually liked Ok Jin Uk's performance more 😅

Coz I like her character more and I would find their story more interesting if explored in the right way. I like the idea of these two characters together more. It's that simple.

I know he will end up with yeong rye coz that's how kdramas roll and all ships are always obvious and predictable since the first interaction. Does not change the fact I would rather see him with Jong Hui

So how fucking amazingly angsty and healing the show would be. Jong Hui is a victim of physical abuse, and Jae Pil is a fucing boxer. HOW MUCH ANGST JUST THAT CAN BRING 🔥🤡🔥 And then imagine if he met the person who hurt her, how he would destroy him omg. And how much angst that would bring, since she hates violence, and him doing that to defend her would not mean much. LIKE DAMN. And his shitty and confusing family situation. And how these two could find each other and help healing each other scars 😭😭😭😭😭 THE STORY FUCKING WRITES ITSELF.

I think they should have just keep it pure rom-com and remove all the aspects of celebrity culture and that literally one scene that talked about amuse in sport setting. They did NOTHING with these aspects, they felt flat... so what's the point? If they had more screen time and will to explore these topics, that would be more than welcomed, but since they did not... I rather not have them at all 😅

I really liked how Jeong woo came out so casually in front of his friends. I like how less dramatized this was and how respectfully everyone handled that. This was definitely a stand out aspect for me. < LOVED the coming out scene lol They were far more dramatic and all that shit with the conversation they had before he came out 🤣

Now we just need a show for the supporting "couple" 🤡

I'm sad it's not a BL and GL lol The meeting of female leads was soooooooooo rom-com coded and they have GREAT chemistry and their personalities match perfectly for a romance. And male leads could have been awesome friends to lovers 🤣

Overall, episode 1 was fun in a calming way. Nothing truly happened, but I was not bored. Mostly set up for the plot, the characters, the mystery bit and the overall tone of the drama.

Ko Yeong Rye is this innocent bubbly genius with many skills and smarts.
Seo Jong Hui is this confident badass who actually has probably many scars and troubled past.
Han Jae Pil is your typical "family issues, I don't want to do what my dad wants me to do" dude.

I'm honestly not sure if they are setting up a love triangle... Maybe not.Tho Jong Hui saying she hated one-sided crush seems like a typical hint of what's to come 😅 That said, if they will actually mix shit up and Yeong Rye won;t end up with Jae Pil, just for that I might add 1 to my final rating, whatever it will be 🤣

of course 30 can act 40, if they look OLD FOR THEIR AGE. Coz then they look similar to how young looking 40 would look like.
Someone who is 30, but has a baby face and actually looks 20... yeah they cannot play 40 for it to look serious. Kim Go Eun has one of the biggest baby faces in the industry... She can play a high schooler and it would be more believable than her playing 40...

It's not that hard to grasp you know. Cast actors who visually fit the roles.

"walk down memory lane" this has literally no importance here. Whenever it's all them in 40s, half in 40s, just one episode in 40... when they are in 40 cast people who fit the age. It would take a lot longer casting wise to find actresses that would look similar to their younger co-stars but it's not impossible. I don;t get why people don;t want better produced dramas with more thought put into casting 🙂

yeah but here we do not have one lucky lady looking early 20s when 40s. Both leads no not even look 30, yet will be playing 40 while also being friends/being connected to each other. This is lazy casting and I do not think it's unfair to criticize it and want better casting for future projects, ones that make more sense

Name me one drama they made someone older and it wa believable lol And I mean subtle older.not making someone a grandma (that is easier with prosthetics etc). It's easier to make someone look younger by 10 years with proper make up, hairstyle and styling (+adding tiny amount of filters) than to make them 10 years older.

It makes no difference how long they will be in any age. The overall lack of fuck dramas give in terms of casting is ridiculous and it's been like that forever. Having same actresses playing all that age rage is cheaper. They picked money over quality of production and I as a consumer have the right to criticize it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Who the fuck thought it's a good idea to hire actresses that are 34 and 30 to play 42 years old women 🤣
It would be better to have 3 sets of actors - kids, teens and 20s, and then 30s and 40s the same people. With current technology it's easier to make people look these 10 years younger, than to make them look 10 years older.

I wanted to watch it coz i love the cast, but I read the synopsis and had to double check if they are for fucking real 🤣 Yes, there are many actresses in their 40s looking as if they were in their 30s. But these lead actresses here are in their 30s looking like they are in their 20s 😅

Have not read the webtoon so I cannot say what happened there 😅
